I think the benchmark for the newer Android gamebox should be Ps1, Dreamcast and SS. Ps2 and above is just too much for it right now until they come up with a better chipset for it. Thx dude.
I have been tempted to buy a box but not until I don't have to worry about games not playing. ATM, I am just using a Acer Revo (dual core 1.6ghz/4GB) to play games and that can only do up to 16 bit. I tried PS1 and the games are unplayable.
Those controllers, for the normal person are perfectly fine. Will get used to them. Only those who have had better won't like them, but for casual gaming are perfectly fine
Will it be possible for you to test some MAME games on these box? There are actually a lot of popular 2D games that these box can't run properly & I found it the hard way. Like most of the Sega boards performance is abysmal especially super scaler games like Afterburner, Out Run, Outrunners, Mj Moonwalker, even Alien Storm. Irem M92 games like Ninja Baseball Batman, In the Hunt. PSG1 games like Demon Front. Even Konami beat em ups like Turtles in Time & X-Men starts to frameskip & stutter after some time. Actually outside of easy to emulate boards like CPS1, CPS2 & NeoGeo other 70% Arcade games runs with heavy frameskip or slowdowns. I think most people buy these boxes for Arcade games & they become very disappointed with the final result. But One thing I don't get is how original Pandora's Boxes were able to perform much better with much more ancient chips!
all the money he spends on these low end gameboxes. He probably could had bought a High tier Gaming PC, several PS5's and new Xbox's. But to each their own
