How do I know it needs to be changed ? Does this part have anything to do with black smoke from the exhaust under heavy acceleration ?
hi, lot of things can generate black smoke for example: turbo, egr, injectors, valve steam sealings, cabon, intake manifold, pcv valve etc. Best way cheking pcv dismount the cap and check the membrane. My advice make obd2 read before any part can be changed.
The front side of my engine is oily and I noticed that the oil cap is leaking. Can that be the cause?

@@therealxander01Thank you. Even the cap seems to be tight it still leaks. I guess a new cap will solve the issue. I almost thought the common rail has a leakage but I guess when I am breaking the oil gets to the front... It is a OM646 (w203)
@@ilir4429hello important the rubber sealing under the cap. The rubber seal not the cup.
@@therealxander01 The rubber is hard to find so I have to buy the cap, or can I take any rubber i find which fits?
@@ilir4429 you can buy original cup sealing, but if you want you can change together with cup.

Mine gets oily its from membrane problem or need new separator i changed to chepest one still get lek after 2000 km
Check the oil cap sealing, generali the oil came from under the cap.
