- My definition of "quick" might not fall in line with others. But I've got you know, things to say. I call these a "quickview" because it covers unboxing and initial testing. It does not speak to durability, longevity, etc.
This is the "quick" review of the GMade MT-1904 crawling tire.

- Gosh, those Gmade MT-1904's
"look so good" on your upgraded Element SE, especially with your Orange wheel choice !!! 👌
Really like seeing the "new" test areas.
The question is, will I be able to remember what they are when I test the next set of tires? That's a hard maybe on that one.
@@CrawlerCanyon well, it is well documented lol
As stated previously GMADE 1904’s for the win. Glad you finally got a set. I run them with a printed insert much like the ones you got last week.
I could see that being a better performer with the squids or similar!
I was going to sell my set of Gmade MT-1904s last month, but after seeing them fitted on the rigs of some other guys in their channel that I follow I decided to keep the 1904s. I'll just get alloy beadlocks and good foam for them.
They're pretty great. I was genuinely surprised at the performance. I was testing them again in a break between rainstorms, and the grip was... off? Then I noticed that it was barely 40º, and was like, oh, right. A lot of tires REALLY drop off in grip at a certain temperature.
Another beautiful day in the Canyon.
Old man approved, also a double thumbs up! Found mine from overseas last week and will have to wait about 30-60 day shipping but I'm happy now.
Glad you managed to "grab" a set of mt1904 ,I new you would like them ,top testing as always.
(20:10) ...You are very welcome,
Mr. Canyon !!! 😉👍 And your channel, here, gives me plenty of proper detailed analysis & fun commentary by you, so thankyou so much !!!! 👏👏👏👏 💪🇺🇸
- Slip & Grip... is what everyone "should"
want, "in a tire", like these MT-1904's,
but some others like to struggle, due to
groupyism... (aka) "following the herd".
🤔
- I wont ever sell-out. 😉👍
... I go with "what works"... What gives
me the results I want !!! 💪🇺🇸
My god. Incredible
...Yes, but dont tell that to Josh of "Hardly" Designs !!! 🤫 He cannot "accept" the facts, when the results
"are in" !!!! 😏 Best tires, Better Trucks.
...Gmade !!! 👌 Life is short, get the best.
✌️
I have been trying to get those tires for a while for the side bite, and I am glad to see my thinking on them was right.
Love the Double Bun! I have the Powerhobby dual stages and have been playing with outers and not finding satisfaction. Ordering the buns today!
Thanks!
The side bite is pretty ridiculous on these. One of the better tires at it that I've tested, and I've tested a few.
I have always loved the grip on those 1904s. Too bad they are always out of stock! Same as the JConcepts Tusks.
These are looking solid. I don't know if I missed it in the video since I was watching, listening and working lol. Are these directional at all? However you had them set, they seemed to really pull up the rocks 👍
I would say . The center tread is teardrop shaped, so there is a pointy end and a... less pointy end. I've run them both ways (on accident) and can't tell a difference. KInda like the Duratrax Scaler, where the only thing directional is the sidelug, and they do a lot better pointy-thing forward, so I run 'em that way.
Great tyres, only downside is they don`t get rid of dirt very well. I`d recommend these to anyone, especially for the price.
The grip really well even when loaded, which surprised me with the lug size. It's a pretty well thought out tire, and I don't think I stumbled onto a secret-- any tire that goes backorder instantly is probably pretty good, and these are as hard (if not harder) to get as Tusks, Ruptures, etc.
The tires seem very very firm. Side hilling is only one of the six? Less firmness may been a benefit for some of the climbing. The tires appear to be very good though. Thanks for the review.
I think I said (but I can never even remember) the compound feels much like Duratrax C3. They climb really well, and are easily at a Deep Woods level for performance in "messy" conditions.
Thank you for the detail test on these suckers
Hi, did you mount them all running the same direction?, I'm sure I saw a tyre running in a different direction to the rest.
Good eye, there was one tire "backwards." Though if you have to look that hard to tell when mounting, I think it's a "Tusk situation," where you can run them either way. Speaking of the Tusk, it has
@Crawler Canyon glad you spotted it and rotated it to match. One friend of mine runs them and always has the chevron mounted 《 > forward, but I do understand the tusk element. Good work Sir.
For the price those look incredible!! You really gave those tires a good test. 👍
Do you need a Gmade sticker for Baseline?
I guess I do. I thought that some of the Gmade scale hubs I bought came with one, but I'm either wrong, or they've filtered deep down into the core of the sticker bin.
@@CrawlerCanyon The next care package will have some. Do you want the Buffalo antenna? It's a springy wire one that looks quite robust.
Well, I can probably still break it, but I'll sure give it a try.
What size hair buns do I need for 2.2 tires Med, large maybe?
( tire size 5.4”)
If we're talking about "single stage," I would say either Extra Large or Jumbo. Most likely Extra Large, as the jumbo are REAL wide.
If it's double bun, it would be large. I'm running double bun in the VXT2s, which while they are 1.9, they measure like 5.25" OD, and the closed cell + large bun fits.
Wow good job 👍🤠
Can you review proline Baja pro x please
The Canyon is Pro-Line free save for one set of U4 Hyrax that were forced upon me. More specifically, I don't buy Pro-Line.
@@CrawlerCanyon why don't you use proline or Holmes hobbies I've always heard you say you won't use them but I don't know why I know you said its in previous videos but a lot of older videos have music in them and I'm not a big fan of music in videos I skip them please tell us why in the new great videos ur creating sir
Customer service in both instances. And beyond even that, there are plenty of alternatives out there-- I'm running zero Pro-Line tires and don't feel I'm missing anything (unless you count the tires rotting out from under the rigs in a matter of months) and aside from a good value $20 motor, there's nothing I'm missing from HH either. I've given away almost everything with that logo, just a few sealed cans remain.
@@drowildcat2960 He got their Crawlmaster V2 and it smoked the first time he plugged it in. They never replied to any of his emails or requests for help. I have had issues with their service in the past when I got a glitchy servo. It took them a month or longer to resolve it because they took 5 days or more to reply to each of my responses. It can really take the wind out of your sails when you're sitting on a $125 piece of junk for which it takes weeks to get support or a replacement
Hi, did you mount them all in the same direction?, I'm sure I saw a tyre running differently.
Just tried putting double-buns in my 1904s, but chickened out when I saw how much they ballooned.
After watching this, I'll give them a proper chance. :}
On the other hand, you might want to try them on single buns;
the second-to-largest in the 4-pack fits perfectly.
In my experience, they seem to work like the Baja Claws: better when they can really move around.
Still, haven't tried them 2-staged before, so I'm not certain- not anymore. ;]
I have those exact buns free right now, as I just unmounted the Rock Beasts. Might be worth a go, considering how easily the 1904s mount.
@@CrawlerCanyon I'll be interested to see the comparison. :]
I want to test them myself, but the local rocks are all buried in snow.
Nobody has an opinion on the deepwoods I was talking about on Daphne's episode a few days ago?
I like stuff. 👍
Try some thornbirds!! 🤭🤭
