It won’t hurt anything it had enough compaction after it was added. I do grading for a living and have built hundreds of ponds with this same issue it’s 100% not going to cause any problem

Love the pontoon idea for the ducks island.
If you have a big enough root ball with some tree left on it you could put it in the pond . Structure plus you could build a duck roost on the part of the tree that comes out of the water

Build a floating dock anchored in the pond for the ducks
I like the pontoon idea, you can build a floating fishing cabin on it with popup trap doors for fishing. You can get chinese floating rubber mats with circular holes in them put pots in the holes to hydroponically make a floating bogs around the pontoons with planted millet grass for the ducks to eat. Also works as great floating structure and food grazing for the fish. Would look like a floating island/resort/club house.

Flair, do you like suggestions? A couple of things that you need as soon as you have time. First, a fish feeder, get the smaller pellets to begin with. Think about it: your fish have nothing to eat except each other. Set it where you will have your dock and you will be training them to hang around that area. The second thing is a aerator to keep o2 in the water. I suggest a cyclone fountain in the middle of the pond. I think you will like the way it looks. I know you have had a lot of problems getting your dream pond started, I hope this might help. I enjoy your channel!

Propane cannon for herons. Use them in blueberry fields for birds and in cotton patches on deer. Cannons are on a timer just put out a five gallon propane tank and hook the cannon on it and move it around to keep them confused
You should get a small boat on the p[ond and use a GoPro to see how the fish are doing and what the structure looks like underwater especially the plane with fish swimming in it. Another great video. Thank you for sharing with us. God bless.

Flair! You need to get some freshwater shrimps! They will compete with whatever crawfish for food and they do not burrow, those red ear sunfish need some sort of snail or shellfish to eat and its a great protein source for those smaller panfish
I'd run the water I'm pretty sure the water running in won't make that much of a difference in temperature. Plus once the summer sun hits it'll decrease the oxygen levels in the pond because of how shallow the pond is right now it'll get to hot. So a good source of running and cool water will do your pond some good. The fish won't be affected at all since the summer sun will heat the pond up enough for spawning anyway. Plus the sun being up for long periods of time will also trigger spawning since the sun is up for a shorter period during winter.
Vineyards and wineries where I’m from use timed sound/concussion cannons to keep the birds away from the grapes,, could work on the pond
Plant some trees around I think that's what gave the old pond some personality is the flora that surrounded it

for the heron i would get a heron decoy. generally heron dont like other herons and will avoid an area that they see another heron in. maybe a few since the pond is kinda big. great video cant wait to see more updates.

Keep all the panels and see if the manufacturer can send you the framing to the blinds and maybe replace any damaged panels, but if the panels are still good and you just need the framing and hardware to make it new again, that’s what I would do

Definitely gotta put plants in weeds and stuff in the pond for frogs and fish and definitely like logs and stuff and definitely on the island and in the middle
Build a little docking station, Run some large pipe out into the pond, bring it up to the side bank, then make a structure say with some kind 100 litre tub, right a pump from your pond to pump pond water into the large said bucket at same time, This way you can clearly see whats going into the pond, as i wouldn't be surprised if half them fish die from shock.

Ducks in nature go into the water within the first few days of hatching. They will be better off moving them now!

You could put gizzard shad and thread fin shad in the back yard pond for the bass because the shad would be a great and easy food source for the bass to eat and find when the shad are in their schools swimming around the pond.

Flair save your pond and use fresh water prawns!!!!!They are much larger than the craw dads (the bass will get huge) and they don't burrow. Your bass will get huge, and it would be a valid option so you dont have to worry about the pond leaking. SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWW
We have ducks at our pond and also a couple eagles that have a nest in the woods by the pond. The eagles have never tried to get the ducks or ducklings as far as I know.

They got high pressure sprinklers on motion detectors for herons or raccoons.and herons are usually solitary hunters so put a full size heron decoy out move it every few days.or hot lead injections.get some pea gravel for the bluegill and bass to make beds and spawn.good show man.
