  • In this video, I demonstrate how I make a Magic Circle to begin my amigurumi and other projects worked in the round! This technique eliminates any gaps or holes in the beginning. In the first part, I use regular yarn (Hue + Me) and in the second part, I use fluffy yarn (Go For Fleece Sherpa).

This was so helpful!! I was really struggling making a magic ring with my fluffy yarn, and I didn’t know what to do. So happy I stumbled onto this video!! I have now made a fluffy bear, and I love it. Thank you 💕

OMG It's NOT the fault of the tutorial LOL The problem is ME! :) I have watched several different tutorials. I just cannot DO the Magic Circle. I understand WHY to do it (to cinch that hole closed in the middle) and I completely understand HOW to make the loop. Once I successfully make the loop, which is easy, I just find it SO clumsy to complete the chain and especially the required single crochets (also easy) in the floppy unstructured loop. My goal is to make the Cozy Days Daisy Blanket but cannot get past the elusive Magic Circle. Is there a way to get started on this project WITHOUT the need of the magic circle? 😀

You can use the chain 2 method! It doesn’t close up the hole in the middle, but if you really don’t like the magic circle, you can use that technique!

@@AlieTheUnicorn This very first part: R1: Starting from second chain from hook, Sc 3 in back loops of foundation chain. Turn and Sc 3 in front loops of the foundation chain [we are making an oval by crocheting around the chain]. (6 sts) i don't understand how from 3 sts i go to 6 sts when it's still 1 round and I need to go to front and back loop, then it is not 1 round? Idk

Hay muchos tutoriales, te recomiendo primero comenzar con una lana que sea más visible y luego ya te será más fácil, también ayúdate con marcadores, siempre es lo mejor.
