You should add videos of the room as you are discussing them. This would add to the watchability of the shows. You have the one bedroom footage in archive.
Yeah this is what I was thinking. Why talk about something but not show what you are talking about. It ruins the information they are attempting to give.
This isn’t a list, or a competition. It’s Old Key West. Simply amazing, we’ve housed a family of 5, with one severely disabled family member. It’s wonderful!!
We are long time SSR owners. We always stay in 1 bedroom at Congress Park for the reasons mentioned here. I also always get a rental car so the resort buses are rarely used. We did add on at Riviera and we love the 1 bedroom villas there. The contrast between there and SSR gives us separate vibes. We love both resorts!
A bit off topic but wanted to announce that some of the 2 bdrm villas at BR have been completed, checking out today from Mon (rm 4512 - even number so wilderness view as opposed to Bay Lake)...aside from some quirks, they're lovely and BRIGHT combining the very best from CCV and of course the charm from BRV!
I also first bought in during COVID and when Disney was closed. Waited 50 days for ROFR in March/April 2020 for 300 points at CCV. Paid $135 pp. Will probably never see that price again! Bought a contract at Aulani a year later (resale of course), which is always a great deal. Very happy with my purchases.
I try to avoid 1- and 2-bedrooms because we are a studio family who likes to save points, and it is definitely difficult to stay in a studio after enjoying the spaciousness of multiple rooms haha. It is oddly interesting, however, that most studios and 1-bedrooms sleep the same number of people (and sometimes the 1-bedroom sleeps less!) So for families, I think the real benefit of having a 1-bedroom is to have a quiet place to go that allows young children to sleep while parents stay up later. Once the kids are older, it's easier to stay all in one room together.
Although my top 5 list would be different (a couple match), I really enjoy hearing how others come up with their lists. Lauren is a great addition, I hope to see her more. I think after her new edition arrives she will be wanting those in room washer and dryers more and more. Thanks for the consistent content, we appreciate it.
Thank you! I think you're right about how helpful the amenities of the one bedrooms will be once our little one arrives, but the point miser in me is in denial haha.
The Polly has 2 bathrooms in there studios also. Happy Holidays! I’m in Ny so I know how cold 🥶 it is going to be for you guys have fun with your family.
Best I would say is Riviera. Second is probably Saratoga at the moment as they are beautifully done and they put the under TV murphy in. This should be in all 1 beds. Third is probably VGF. In terms of rooms themselves Animal Kingdom Kidani and BLT would be up there due to size and extra bathroom, but they need a refurb before they can make the list. Boulder Ridge is a nice refurb but no extra under TV murphy knocks it out of the running. Oh I forgot OKW, I’ve stayed in a 2 bed lock off there so know the 1 bed. That is very large so I think it comes in after VGF (bit lower for me as decor isn’t as good).
We have a son who is 19 years old nonverbal autistic about 10 years ago we started staying at the one bedroom Villas because of full kitchen this is what actually led us to buying at DVC was because we wanted to keep coming to the one bedroom Villas without having to pay those crazy rack rates

Agreed something I was definitely looking for

So when is Pete coming back?

when doing these it would be good to add some footage of these DVC's.
Saratoga may have the nicest rooms on property to be honest. The refurb was on point
I agree with Saratoga being on par with RIviera 1 & 2 bedroom villas! Both resorts are absolutely beautiful!
So happy that OKW is our home resort since 1993! Best resort.

When we stay in a two bedroom at Bay Lake with the huge livingroom we move chairs from the bedroom into the living room area.
2 bathrooms in the BLT one bedroom is priceless if you need an extra bathroom. I think its only one of 2 with 2 bathrooms.
Happy holidays! Hope you have a great time with your families!

Great show and so nice to actually hear from Lauren!! Hope she’s on more shows 😊
Thanks so much! I get to join Paul and Amy for the next one.

Great show. As a relative new comer to DVC (2020), it is great to get some insight on the DVC resorts.

Where’s Pete been?
Holiday break.

Poly is my home resort as I thought studios would be fine. I then booked a 1 bedroom at Animal Kingdom and now I do not want to go back to studios.
The ROFR Monster is alway lurking 😂. They grabbed my BLT contract in August.

Good stuff, maybe y’all can do a top of the world lounge video. It seems to be different since reopening. Reservations for Fridays only.
lol Priorities right?!! I am all packed for my trip to WDW on Dec 26th, yet haven't wrapped a single gift...
Cant wait to stay at GF 1 bedroom Standard in Feb 9nites
Poor Saratoga Springs. Doesn't get the love it deserves, considering the price and the proximity to Disney Springs
Is this new format permanent? Not a fan. What happened to the roundtable?
Can we pause for a minute and enjoy Paul and Amy's eyeglasses? No comments about them yet? C,mon guys
They are so cheap too! zennioptical.com.
