    I know this is an old review, but I appreciate 🙏 the review/work you put in on this... There are a couple of tires that I'm interested in that there doesn't seem to be many reviews on.... this is one of them. The other one that may be a good head to head with these are the Dunlop Mutants 🤔...

    I instaled those tyres on My Ninja 400 and Are amazing!!!
    I loved the results, i recomend these tyres on Ninjas 400.
    The grip is specially wonderful! Not Even wet floor of roadway or highway can't desequilibrate the súper grip.
    I used to use 110/70/17 vs 150/60/17
    But with the AX41S i installed 120/70/17 vs 170/60/17 and the Bike looks powerful!!!!
    Feels powerful and secure!!!
    Works perfect!!!

    Great review , i am curently on pirelli mt60rs , i love them on pavement and gravel , just wish the rear would have à dual compound , i see the ax41s does, so how would you compare the ax41s with these in grip for pavement and gravel road , the bike in a ktm 690 in sm trim

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 лет назад +3

      Thank you for your inquiry Claude. These AX41s tires are the likes of a sport bike rain tire. They handle the pavement expertly and on gravel roads they did pretty good. Actually impressive as compared to my visual impressions of the thin groves. The Pirelli mt60rs tires have larger groves and will most likely have a better off road / gravel road feel over the AX41s. It has been years since I have run the Pirelli... so it is a little hard to give an accurate comparison for you. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

    How would these compare against sport touring tyres?
    I ride an Aprilia Tuono on mixed gravel & tarmac roads. Currently I have Michelin Road 5 tyres and they are great on hard packed dirt roads, but I wish to have a bit more traction on loose stuff without sacrificing too much stability, flickability & grip on tarmac twisties. I guess AX41S is going to wear down faster than Michelin Road.

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  4 года назад +1

      Thank you for your inquiry Miika. I LOVE the Road 5 for road work, it's one of my favorite tires. The AX41S will have less longevity, but I do think it will perform off-road significantly better than the Road 5 (although I have not had the R5 off-road... just speculating)... The AX41S is a super smooth running street tire with great feedback from the road. I really like it a lot! I melt it in the twisties and it ends up with a track-like look after 20 miles of hard work. Sticks like glue though... and was pretty darned good off-road, surprisingly. Not much help eh? Sorry! - Kyle

    Hi everybody, I'm going to buy the AX41S tires for my Honda X ADV 750.
    Actually my tires are Bridgestone Trailwings, at 12,4k km the front tire is finished, the back could work some more.
    I hope is a good choice, wanna change design and a better feeling, AX41S should be more tender than Trailwings, almost it's what I guess.

    Can you give some thoughts on how these tires compare to other more street oriented ADV tires like the Metzeler Tourance NEXT, Pirelli Scorpion Trail, Continental Conti Trail, etc.

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  4 года назад +1

      The AX41S is a very similar tire to the tires you have mentioned. All are mostly street tires that can ride on dirt if the need arises. Very very similar tires.

    Isn't the front tire mono compound and only rear double compound? I'm Affraid that front tires will not last long.. I don't understand, all modern titres have center rolling part differ from the sides for endurance and grip at the side.

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 лет назад +3

      Jamie, front tires last at least 2/3rds longer than rear tires, so with the single compound up front they wear out at the same time now. It's actually a good thing! My thoughts, Kyle
