Great clip, yea I love my 06 IX, grabbed it with 3 miles on it back then, fast forward to now (2024) sitting at 68k non molested garage kept with only an exhaust and nice tune. Had no idea in the future the car would be considered a somewhat unicorn. I have teen children now and it’s funny how they think it’s cool to have a car from the fast and furious movies lol. Hey I’m new to the car community I was gifted a 97 Mitsubishi eclipse it is automatic unfortunately but I was just wondering if I could do performance upgrades and where I could get started
start with your basic maintenance, plugs, belts, fluids. Always good to start with a solid foundation, from there you can do simple bolt-ons such as an intake or exhaust.
Just as Dominic mentioned. Start small, go out to meets and meet other people you can also learn from and modify cars together. It’s a long learning process but welcome to the dsm fam 🤙🏼

Welcome. I am an old school car enthusiast from the 90's. Is your Eclipse an RS, GS, GST or GSX? I would also recommend looking out for another Eclipse that is a manual as a parts car so that you can eventually do a manual swap.

Honestly anything you get will sound good as long as you go 3”. A turbo 4g63 sounds really good with almost anything
