Everbody commenting that Aragorn loved her which is not true. Aragorn was just beeing himself here. He was gentle and protective. His real love was Arwen♥️
People should also consider the dude is in his late 80s. Eowyn would practically be a child to him. Man had to date a 2000 year old elf to get the age dynamic right lol
I watched this a few times, and found that Aragorn was just being himself by extending his kindness to her, that's all. Even judging by the facial expressions it's hard not to see that he wasn't displaying any romantic feelings towards her (see how used both hands to free himself from her tight hold).
This and the the other scene where he heals her shows that he did love her just not the way she did him and yes that’s heartbreaking but also Aragorn in his mind was already sworn to Arwen he would never leave her his love for her has endured YEARS while Eowyns is new and similar to a fantasy and we see in this and the scene where he heals her that he admires her and loves her for her traits but isnt IN love with her as she is him...............
She dreamed about the Fall of Numenor, when their last queen stood upon its highest peak, yet still perished in the overthrow as the island sank into the waves...
I agree. They should have stuck with the book: Aragorn is in love with Eowyn in the book. Makes sense they are both warriors and have that in common. Also, he is not in love with an Elf in the book and the Elf does not have to give away her immortality. Everyone wins and Aragorn comes out smelling like a rose. XD
@Estrellakatarinathegreatrussian Well Aragorn was 80 plus years old here, so what you thought was "encourage her" can be interpreted as "fatherly", also at which point did he actually flirt with her? She never flirt with him either unless you think this little scene counts. I am judging the movie alone of course.
He love her as a friend, and He is kind and protective when He needs to be, even with legolas, gimli, frodo etc. He loved arwen romantcly, is very diferent
Honestly he has feelings for her,but he is an honourable man, loyal to a fault and true to Arwen...if not, hell! He would have fallen for eowyn...i mean, she is brave, fearless, beautiful and compassionate..whats not to love.
"I dreamed I saw a great wave" (the army of Rohan) "climbing above green lands and above the hills" (the army arrives to the battle in the fields of Pelennor) "I stood upon the brink" (she was in the front of the army along with Merry) "It was utterly dark in the abyss before my fate" (the army of Mordor's darkness, her fate was going to be decided there) "A light shone behind me" (the light that shines behind them as they scream "Death!") She was dreaming about what then became the battle of Pelennor Fields
He saw her as a friend thay He deeply loved, but He didnt fell for her romantcly bc He already fell for arwen, and his heart was too loyal. Otherwise He might had, cuz they have lot in common and care about eachother too. Aragorn deserves a happy life for being so loyal
(Aragorns thoughts) :"Maybe it's better to leave Arwen and move on with a woman instead of she - elf. Eowyn seems not so bad, looks beautiful enough and we do have similarities." Eowyn:"Eat my soup." (Aragorn's thoughts) :"And she can cook. Yes, so it's a good idea. At least give it a try." Aragorn:"Yes, I will try it." *Aragorn tries it* (Aragorn's thoughts:) "Goddammit. This tastes like I imagined horsesh*t or orc blood tastes. I go back to Arwen. Doesn't matter what her father will tell me." *Some time later* Aragorn to Eowyn:"It's but a shadow and thought that you love. I cannot give you what you seek."
I think its cos he and arwen werent together anymore..so he kind of opened his heart to her...til he found out that arwen had stayed behind and was dwindling away
To think these two were almost the endgame before Tolkien changed it. But I’m glad he did. Eowyn found a proper connection in Faramir that she could not have with Aragorn.
He should have ended up with her in the movies. I am but rusty with books, it has been 10 years since I read them so I don’t remember if in the books Arwen relationship for more development
Sorry, eowyn & faramir meeting at the aftermath of battle in the house of healing is peak romance for me. They found each other after enduring a lot of pain ✌️
Eowyn: what time is it? Me: it is still too early and everybody is sleeping like a log Eowyn: I dream of you... Me: oh yeah! ok so still get plenty of time we can still catch up Eowyn: doors ? Me: yup already closed, (silently) I knew it, Yoh junior time roll lol......

but he loved her 😊 just wasn't in love with her 🤓
He didn't love her in a romantic way but that didn't mean he didn't love her.
@@innawoodsmanyeah and he is a child to that elf
her stew gave him diarrhea . whatever love he had sailed into the west..........toilet
Aragon was very sweet, thoughtful and gentlemanly here. This scene is so attractive, sad and beautiful.
He saw her as a child. Love and care for her as a child. Gosh she is really a child to him. He's older than her uncle.
Dude went to war with her grandmother.
@@mellusonpage5356 lol, grandmother.
But he is child for Arwen.
He's older then Theoden 2
the way she grabs his hand just breaks me

A real man Aragon is
I just love his character in this movie
Love respect care for a woman
Gosh I just love Aragon's character
Eowyn: What time is it?
Aragorn: Pizza Time!
Fuck yeah that would grab my attention!
It's from Peter Parker , right?😂
Me: What time is it?
Aragorn: Not yet dawn.
Me: Cool. *falls back asleep*
Aragorn is a good man
Eowyn recalls the fate of Tar-Miriél, the last Queen of Númenor before she died by the deluge of Elenna.
I was wondering the same! 🤔😱
I mean, which woman wouldn't fall for him? I so love his character...
She dreamed about the Fall of Numenor, when their last queen stood upon its highest peak, yet still perished in the overthrow as the island sank into the waves...
It was actually Faramir's dream in the novel and a bad dream that Tolkien had himself many times in his life.
Gimli is funny and cute at the beginning!
"what time is it?" that seems out of place in the era on middle earth.
Aragorn: It's time for a party in my pants 😄
@@UniqueGeekFreak lol
Hahahahhaa 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So cozy and beautiful at the same time
Aragorn why do you keep giving her ideas and treating her like this then break her heart lmao
Estrellakatarinathegreatrussian Well you are an asshole! Do You know how much Aragorn has done to save others? And You call him an asshole?!
I agree. They should have stuck with the book: Aragorn is in love with Eowyn in the book. Makes sense they are both warriors and have that in common.

He thought of her like a grandchildren

As someone whose favorite character is Aragorn, I feel personally attacked.
shit i wish i had a dressing gown like that
The acting is so much better than that Netflix trash.
He love her as a friend, and He is kind and protective when He needs to be, even with legolas, gimli, frodo etc. He loved arwen romantcly, is very diferent
Aragorn could’ve smashed right there when Eowyn grabbed his hand but he’s such an honorable man.
Honestly he has feelings for her,but he is an honourable man, loyal to a fault and true to Arwen...if not, hell! He would have fallen for eowyn...i mean, she is brave, fearless, beautiful and compassionate..whats not to love.
He felt love...ro her as grampa loves his grandchild
Everything but her Stew
It was the stew that turned him off
Her stew.
he was supposed to end up with her but then tolkien decided to throw in arwen and all that
"I dreamed I saw a great wave" (the army of Rohan) "climbing above green lands and above the hills" (the army arrives to the battle in the fields of Pelennor) "I stood upon the brink" (she was in the front of the army along with Merry) "It was utterly dark in the abyss before my fate" (the army of Mordor's darkness, her fate was going to be decided there) "A light shone behind me" (the light that shines behind them as they scream "Death!")
She was dreaming about what then became the battle of Pelennor Fields
waaaaaa
these extended scenes are making me feel confused about who I ship
SAME. LIKE ARWEN AND ARAGORN ARE LOVELY BUT _ARAGORN_ _AND_ _EOWYN._
Eowyn & Faramir all the way!
So beautiful
He saw her as a friend thay He deeply loved, but He didnt fell for her romantcly bc He already fell for arwen, and his heart was too loyal. Otherwise He might had, cuz they have lot in common and care about eachother too. Aragorn deserves a happy life for being so loyal
i cant blame her, i'd hopelessly fall in love with aragorn too if i was her 😔
(Aragorns thoughts) :"Maybe it's better to leave Arwen and move on with a woman instead of she - elf. Eowyn seems not so bad, looks beautiful enough and we do have similarities."
Eowyn:"Eat my soup."

Aragorn to Eowyn:"It's but a shadow and thought that you love. I cannot give you what you seek."
Why does he have to lead her on like that :(
I think its cos he and arwen werent together anymore..so he kind of opened his heart to her...til he found out that arwen had stayed behind and was dwindling away
He's just being nice to her like being nice to a cute daughter. She got the wrong idea.
Aragorn always love Arwen💙❤
Aragorn was torn. He was told many times that Arwen will be leaving or will die if she remained. So for a split moment, he did see a future with Her.
Dammit why did they delete this scence...honestly i feel Aragon cared for her in his own way...but for arwyn he could have loved her
It's not a deleted scene because the version that I watched, this scene was in the film and I love this scene x
It's a deleted scenes from the shorter version
This scene is only in the longer version
You're right, not a deleted scene, but only exclusive to the extended version.
Their love was so beautiful ❤
To think these two were almost the endgame before Tolkien changed it. But I’m glad he did. Eowyn found a proper connection in Faramir that she could not have with Aragorn.
Is this the equivalent of “stay the night”?
My favourite movie.. ❤
Remarkable how they used a similar sequence in ROP, with Miriel's vision. It's a nice callback to this scene, even if the tone is different.
Why was this scene cut from the film?
You people dream grand stuff don't you
He was going to until he tried her stew. Deal breaker.
People cast away Eowyn. They should not have.
I Ship it
He should have ended up with her in the movies. I am but rusty with books, it has been 10 years since I read them so I don’t remember if in the books Arwen relationship for more development
not really, Arwen in the books is like an honourable mention
Sorry, eowyn & faramir meeting at the aftermath of battle in the house of healing is peak romance for me. They found each other after enduring a lot of pain ✌️
She has the most lovely feet...
Lol
WTF
Ok
Feet??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
She thirsty
...alabaster skin...no ring on finger...french curve...lit blau dress as if a new dawn...
Eowyn: what time is it?
Me: it is still too early and everybody is sleeping like a log
Eowyn: I dream of you...
Me: oh yeah! ok so still get plenty of time we can still catch up
Eowyn: doors ?
Me: yup already closed, (silently) I knew it, Yoh junior time roll lol......
love these two together, Aregorn was Stupid for choosing Arwen over Eowyn!!!!
You gotta remember aragorn loved arwen with all his heart so your wrong there it's his choice not yours
@Estrellakatarinathegreatrussian he was just being nice to her he was learning to become a better man and king
@Estrellakatarinathegreatrussian he wasn't. sometimes you have to "play along" you see aragorn was a gentleman.
I beliv shes an elf, not a bipedal winged bird
lmao shut up
:) xD
According to the plot she’s 24 years old, but she looks 28-29 in the films 🤷🏻♂️
