That's why Garand Thumb is called Flannel Daddy
How can Garand Thumb be "daddy" if "only Democracy in the middle east" is his daddy?
There was a long running joke that Garand Thumb (Mike) was a clone of Travis Haley, and Administrative Results (the talking balaclava) was a faulty clone of Travis, hence the mask.
Isn’t Travis Haley, grand thumb’s father?
@@profesercreeperYeah, that was the actual joke. This guy got it half right.
@@profesercreeper It was just a meme. Garand thumb (Mike Jones) isn't related to Travis (officially). However, it's the internet, anything could be true, and I surely don't claim to know everything. I'm just a long time follower of the thumb.
@@profesercreeper
No, Bibi Netanyahu is hence "Mike Jones" (pseudonym) America last geopolitics.
@@joebenson528 Moron
Garand is in Idaho. Admin is in AZ. Brandon is in TX. Most of them travel to Texas more then anywhere else cause Donut and Demolition Ranch both are in Texas as well
And they all did that RUclipsr gun event which looked amazing. Brought in lots of gun RUclipsrs and just non gun RUclipsrs that were into guns. Don't know if there's videos about it I'm out of the loop
Its refreshing to watch a Brit watching gun tube videos with enthusiasm and not fear, disgust, and total misunderstanding.
A Bridge Too Far, Kelly's Heroes, and Patton. Three of the best war movies ever.
You beat me to all three
"Gotta find out what Administrative Results real name is" while continuing to use Garand Thumb like it's a real name too... 😂
11:22 that M14 he has is based on Randel Shughart a delta force operator who was killed in action during the battle of Mogadishu and was Post posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during Blackhawk down
Im in idaho where garand thumb is. We would love to have you here. Mike jones for governor
22 likes are there really that many idahoians here.😂
@@chiphazzard8173 Bring the guns and we will come
@chiphazzard8173 it's actually law that we have to watch any video with garand thumb in it after he moved to idaho. Just doing our civic duty
That AK is a thing of beauty. Super flat recoil and very ergonomic.
When it comes to Flannel Daddy, Admin, Bandon Barbara, Chubby Electron Guy, Demo Ranch, Donut and Eli Double Fap, I don't think you can know about one and not the others
"Wild Geese" is one of my favorite war flicks. As a Brit you should love it.
I Found it funny that Brandon was wearing a Fat Electrician T-Shirt and Luke was so distracted by the guns he didn't even notice. The shirt is the it is never a war crime the first time tee shirt. lol. keep up the great work Luke. Love the content.
Huge respect to the Shughart M14, Named after Randy Shughart. Dude basically volunteered to dismounted with his buddy Gordon in order to secure crash site 6-4 and hold it in hopes for rescue to arrive. Due to that valiant effort they got the medal of honor. still hurts my gut seeing the movie and real life photo on what they did to their bodies. @OriginalHuman you should react to Gordon and Shugart's story on how they became legends. For war movies I love Generation K!ll, The pacific and Band of brothers.
Thin Red Line is also another good one that gets overlooked since it came out same year as Saving Private Ryan.
Saving Private Ryan has to be my favorite war movie as it’s a classic and the ending is a masterpiece
Please watch his "What Does It Sound Like To Get Shot At? Bullet Sounds Near & Far" you'd get a pretty good laugh from it
holy fuck im dying from his Travis Haley impersonation LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
that m16 is whats called an SPR (Special purpose rifle) or a DMR (Designated marksman rifle) so they are usually a bit heavier that an infantry rifle, but its not an infantry rifle. usually the operator of that weapon system is stationary providing overwatch or recon.
Big respect bro for your honesty about what you do and don't know. Alot of guys would act like they know everything, and fake it by looking up info on the gun in question ahead of the video. Good show mate !
The MEUSOC 1911 is a specific build of the 1911 that was issued to US Marine special operations personnel for many years. There a specific specs for the slide, frame, trigger, sights, etc. They're genuinely incredible pistols to shoot when built correctly.
Das Boot. Top tier war movie with all the intensity of a cage fight under water.
Brandon should get points for repping his buddy's merch...he's got on a Fat Electrician Tshirt
Shugart M14 is a custom clone of the M14 that Delta Force Medal of Honor Winner Randy Shugart had in Mogadishu Somalia. Randy Shugart and Gary Gordon (who carried the CAR15 they referenced Garand Thumb is having built). Were both killed trying to rescue one of the Pilots CWO4 Mike Durant (Black Hawk down). They held off thousands of Somali until they ran out of ammo. Mike Durant was captured and eventually released.
It’s hard to say a favorite war movie, but We were soldiers is one of my favorites
The recent All quiet on the western front movie was fantastic
I'm used to seeing Admin Results in his larping gear.
The majority of this group was in the military, the only people that haven’t actually been in military is demolition ranch, and branded Herrera ( but is a honorary veteran from his veteran friends)
it would be brilliant to see these guys work with the slowmo guys for a video, see what slight movements may happen during speed comp shooting
Fav war movie...Kelly's Heroes or Patton. I want to rewatch them now.
As someone who lived in Maine for sometime, you’d have a good appreciation for that Shughart. Gary Gordon was the other sniper with Shughart at the time, and his hometown is Lincoln Maine. Just about 45 minutes north of Bangor where UMaine is. They still fly a Blackhawk over town every Memorial Day.
They said maybe that's why Matt wins all of his challenges.
But he's the guy who runs demolition ranch.
They shoot all kinds of guns, competitions, funny stuff.
It's really a cool site you really need to watch It.
Demolition ranch. In The US Marine Corps.
You drilled with M14 to start.
Then shoot M16. One of my favorite war movies.
We were soldiers.
With Mel Gibson. Also Gettysburg.
Luke a suggestion: create a series where you watch war movies and react. That would be soo cool and also do a video about the Sri Lankan LRRPs which became the third best special forces according to one military ranking website in 2020 (full disclosure don't know the acceptance of the report as I am not aware about military rankings or how it happens.) Looking forward for your reactions love from Sri Lanka
You should see garandthumbs trick shot vid it gets even better
The ‘Shughart’ M14 is a clone of SFC Randy Shughart’s rifle from Operation Gothic Serpent aka Black Hawk Down. He was one of the 2 Delta Snipers that were inserted to defend Super 64. Randy Shughart and Master Sergeant were awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.
I can't pick one war movie I like the best but these are the ones I can watch over and over ... Full metal jacket, Fury, Saving private Ryan, Three Kings, Lone Survivor, 13 hours, Behind Enemy Lines.
GARAND THUMB DID 2 HALO GUN VIDEOS LUKE!!!!!!!!!!
Make that 3, Halo 2 Battle Rifle, Halo 3 Ma5C, and Halo Reach Ma37
Best war movie has got to be “All Quiet on the Western Front”
Favorite show is the ”Pacific”
Just posted in the r/unsubscribepodcast subreddit that you should be a guest on their podcast.
The community would love a Royal Marine perspective on the show!
Not sure if this really counts since it is a documentary, but They Shall Not Grow Old would have to be my favorite war film.
The 1911 GT replicated was used by Marine Corps units called MEUs - Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) - hence the name MEUSOC. The pistols were fitted, tuned, and accurized by Marine gunsmiths at the Precision Weapons Shop in Quantico, Virginia. There's several generations of the pistols and the one Mike has represents the late 90's to early GWOT days. Once integral railed 1911s came about like the Springfield Armory Operator, Kimber Warrior, and Colt Rail Gun, guns like Mike's were phased out in favor of the newer frames because the rails were much stronger and allowed for better mounting of superior enabling accessories.
Speaking of Admin Result's English war bow video, check out his recent crossbow vs war bow video
you should watch the pacific its like band of brothers but focused on the pacific theater of war following the stories of US Marines
Favorite war movie would probably be a tie for me between A Bridge Too Far, In Harm's Way and The Longest Day.
So many good videos to go. Even the guys who haven’t been in the military have the same dry humour you will like. And they all collab a lot. Some do the more technical videos. And then you get ones like demo ranch who is just for fun but he has the biggest gun collection.
Just don't tele Mere 😂
My favourite war movies The deer hunter ,black hawk down and gladiator
Favorite War movie is a toss-up between Saving Private Ryan and Enemy at the Gates
Arizona is admin(aaron), Idaho is GarandThumb(Mike), Brandon is Texas
Best War movie is "pretty village pretty flame"
Thin Red Line is a great war film but different vibe than others.
“We Were Soldiers” that is the best war movie.
Not even close, plus it's nearly impossible to look past what a total piece of garbage Mel Gibson is
Brandon is a pure civilian. Admin was a cop for years. My favorite war movie: The Longest Day. (Skinny is slang from Mogadishu - the "soldiers" didn't eat a lot) I'll take the 1911 - MEU SOC is Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable and that's a clone of one they used to use. Each one of the MEU SOC 1911s was hand built by Marine Corp armorers - they did go to commercial production somewhat recently to replace the worn out guns. I'll take an M1 Garand over that M14 every day of the week.
Favorite War Movie 1: Green Beret 2: Horse Soldiers 3: Apocalypse Now 4: Killing Fields 5: Soldier 6: The Flags of our Fathers 7: Wild Geese 8: Big Red One 9: The Devil's Brigade 10 : Sgt York Special Both version of The Tears of the Sun.
Loving the reactions! Also please don't worry too much about "stealing views". Gun tubers are all demonetized anyways, so reactions just mean more exposure for their channel, which helps them since sponsors and merch are the only way they actually make money on RUclips.
"To Hell and Back" starring the war hero that the movie was about. "Go For Broke", "Destination Tokyo", more recently "12 Strong".
There’s nothing more American that shooting guns in a flannel 😂
Loving these reactions, my life sucks and any distraction is welcome here.
Favorite war movie is 13 hours: secret soldiers of benghazi
Preach!
I love all these guys along with Demolition Ranch and Kentucky Ballistics
I dig that 1911. Favorite war movie is probably Master and Commander. Favorite style is Admin’s button up shirt.
1911 MEU SOC... Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable.
They are units that are capable of emergency rapid deployment. They also can serve as standby during SpecOps missions, basically to go in should things get out of hand, to rescue personnel that may have become stranded behind enemy lines, or other such situations. I was avionics repair when I was active duty, my unit was part of a MEU SOC.
The pistol was made by a special team of armorers. They used standard 1911 pistols from the inventory, and tuned them. They also used carefully selected parts, and created night sights and other enhancements. Basically they built them up from an empty frame to be the best version it could be. They are typically rebuilt every 10k rounds.
They were still using the original frames and slides, which were last built in 1945... As no new 1911s were made for the military after that year. They had plenty in inventory to replace any that broke or fell out of spec. There were some frames that were estimated to have over 500k rounds through them. Another fun fact, a few years ago, during a teardown and rebuild, it was discovered that an M2 heavy machine gun that was from the initial manufacturing batch was still in service. It was over 100 years old at that point, and still going strong.
Around year 2003 or so, due to increased demand for more of the pistols, a backlog of work for the special team of armorers, and the fact that so many of the frames were starting to show their age... It was decided to acquire new pistols from comercial manufacturers. (typically referred to as a COTS, Commercial Off The Shelf acquisition) These would be a high end model with combat focused features, such as improved night sights, light mount rails, and other enhancements.
Kimber supplied the initial batch for Marine Detachment One. Later Springfield provided a batch to the program as well. Around 2010 Colt submitted a special model for the program, and it was selected as the official new 1911 MEUSOC replacement.
Favorite war movies: We Were Soldiers, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket
Grand thumb has done knights armament KS1 rifle nothing but good feedback and he said it is the best made DI AR rifle today well done MOD
13 hrs or FMJ for fav war movies
I love War Movies but one I will never forget is "The Longest Day" it's basically the D-Day invasion shown from Different perspectives of the Allies and Germans, nothing special but goddamn do love that Movie. I need rewatch the shit again.
Glad you're reacting to guntoobers!
Favorite war movie.
Fictional: Red Dawn (1984 version)
Based on true story: 13 Hours and Blackhawk Down are tied.
out of those 5 i believe the big sniper they started with was the most practical because if you can nail a target from a mile away thats it you win. you dont fight u just murder. only thing to fight is other snipers. but the ak105 is cool too, i personaly hate the giant flashlight on the pistol that catches on everything.
All quiet on the western front is a goated movie
My favourite war movie is When Trumpets Fade. Definitely under-rated and not super widely known.
Fav War movie has to be 'In the Army Now'!!
I'm 40 and still out playin the woods getting all beat up. My sisters were just giving me a hard time cause I busted up my head and face and nearly lost my eye
My favorite war movie is 12 strong and saving private ryan, and you should also react to his top 5 of Brandon's collection and of demo raunch's collection
"Think Garrand thumb was the only one that served" completely missing Brandon's three medals of honour (according to Eli double fap).
secret soldiers of benghazi is my fav movie
You gotta check out "Generation Kill" for a more modern war show.
Def favorite is saving Private Ryan
GT was in Washington but moved to Idaho to big ranch/ compound
I love watching their videos together haha. Just a couple of dudes shooting guns and having fun. 😂
Favorite war move? Patton.
Band of brothers is just in my opinion the best war documentary/tv show
garand thumb is such a king. these reactions are a huge W
Admin - Arizona
Dr Garand - Idaho
Former almost congressman Brandon - Texas
Fortunately for Garand Thumb griffin armament just started making a Mk11 compatible suppressor it’s not a clone of the Knights Armament Mk11 but it will work and is only $1600ish. I’ll be getting one for my Mk13 Mod 3 build
Not sure if I have a favorite war movie....but Full Metal Jacket, Heartbreak Ridge (though not really a war movie) and We Were Soldiers are definitely in my top 10.
Does American Sniper count as a war movie? I really, really liked that one. The Covenant was also really good.
My favorite war movie is "wind talkers"
We Were Soldiers. My favorite.
Fav war movie, Full Metal Jacket.
Fav war movies:
Act of Valor
Devotion
Flyboys
The Lafayette Escadrille
Taking Chance
Greyhound
Favorite war movie Hacksaw Ridge.
These three are the Top Gear of guns
Brandon has a medal of honor and 3 purple hearts
Favorite War movie: Das Boot
The Pacific about the Marine Corps best show, top movie hard to say but We Were Soldiers is definitely up there.
And I think that movie was Wanted? I can picture the cover, lol.
Patton, The Pacific
"Where are they at?" Pacific Northwest. Just not near SeaTac, Portland, and Boise.
The YY 360 no scope is a Call of duty thing lol. A YY is a sweat move. No one really knows what it’s for it just looks cool lol. And people always try and end games on trick shots in warzone lol
Bro no one does trickshots in wz anymore, its lucky to get a group for that in snd
Band of Brothers - Best military movie
Admins real name is, the talking balaclava 😂
Admins real name is: Rhodesia s1mp
The new All Quiet on the Western Front is my new favorite war film.
