Hi Dennis, interesting to read your opinion. India was wearing a "Miss Universe" dress rather than a Miss World dress. It is hard for either of us to see what they showed the judges in private interviews (they are constantly observed). That was why one Indian contestant won when based on her answer alone she would have come 5th. (She said Mother Teresa was her living role model when she had passed away after the girl had learned her answer). Some of the London audience booed her but she won anyway!

She was asked a simple question and she bought Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi in her jumbled up answer and in the end she fumbled. 1st runner is a fair placing for her. Miss Russia on the other hand was confident, convincing and didn't sound rehearsed and rightfully deserved the crown.

Miss Russia (Ksenia Sukhinova) won Top Model fast track and was a very consistent delegate so the judges chose her over Miss India. And I’m neither Russian nor Indian but I’d say that the judges made the right decision. All of the Pageantry websites and experts expected her to win from the start. And for Pete’s sake, India won 5 times (now 6 times) and yet you guys still complain. Russia only won 2 times.
Another thing......I really wished my country's rep (Trinidad & Tobago) had won but the HOST was a fool who cut her off........anyhow Russia was sweet.

One of the worst judging panel in the Miss World history. Russia's answer had no content expect a word 'help'. Her answer is the worst of all times. Miss India's and Trinidad's answers were fantastic but to see a time factor Miss India could have won the Miss World which would have made India winning 7 Miss World titles by this time. Miss India complained that her question was unfair it's true. If u look at other contestants were asked the same question but different way. Basically asking why u deserve the crown and y judges should vote for u? But Ms. India Was sked to say some highlights about Africa.. she later complained that since her question was unclear her crown was taken away. Everyone else was asked the same question except her. She answers based on her question... If she was asked why judges vote for you for this crown I am pretty sure she will answer accordingly. Since her question was about highlights of Johannesburg, she answered like that which wasn't bad but. ..she explained little too much showing overconfident. But it's unfair that she wasn't asked the same question. Anyone else think the same????
Actually the reason of Miss Russia won Miss World, because she answer the question very well... India also did the same. But overall I can said is there is a politics. Why cant they can ask the question that he ask to Miss India to Miss Russia. Bcoz of politics..The judges already fixed it. Same as last year. Most of people wish Miss Nepal to win the crown, but how Miss Mexico won. Even they said this is the first time Miss Mexico won that crown. If Miss Nepal won, it also the first time for them. Simple. Russia is the most pretty in this batch. But her answer is generic. But i find India n TnT answer was scripted n pageant patty. SA answer is short n honest but too arrogant. Angola was so nervous n rushed. I think the judges was looking for the most beautiful thats why they picked russia.
