Tom Platz was born on leg day!
Leg day was born with tom platz*
@@velvetwarhound Tom Platz was born with leg day*
Tom leg day was on platz born
I give my life for comments like this
Tom was born on a Tuesday. That's why Tuesday is leg day 😎
“I would rather die than acknowledge to myself that I’m that loser”
Trust me not everyone is born with that type of mentality
I was more than born with that. It took the universe 6 billions years for me to be alive right now.
Thats how epic I am.
But.. he was a loser.
I've never seen any other bodybuilder with the mindset that Tom Platz had/has. Never.
I've tried my damnedest to emulate him, but each time I would hurt something. That method of training is not for every BODY. However, my training for the last 10-15 years has been slow and deliberate. Every rep I do I treat it as a set. And it is working.
Oh! Chris! He may not have won many shows, but when you're a bodybuilder you're always a winner. To go thru the training and dieting to change your physique takes a winner always.
@@chriskoutroulis4531 IF PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU YOU'RE NOT A LOSER
I bet when he comes to the Gym all the leg-related machines are like "oh shit not this guy again"
When he says he trains to failure, he doesn't mean his muscles
🤣
Toh Nic imao
the machines give in before his muscles do
🤣😂🤣😂 for real!!!
The 82 dislikes skip leg day.
Lmfao
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No they have chicken legs
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
He came out of nowhere. Had chicken legs. But he had the WILL to WIN. For this, he will be remembered forever.
Bodybuilder with charisma. Rarely seen
Fog Wanderer You telling me Arnold and Ronnie lack charisma?😂
@@MR12AMAZING no. If its rarely seen that doesnt oppose the statement that ronnie and anrnold have charisma.
He had steroids
Remember Lindisfarne chicken legs?
“If you think you could’ve done more, then you’re a loser”
em just got assbanged too often...so just talk shit
If you don't leave the gym on a stretcher you are a loser
He had the best overall leg development in human history. Their have been bigger, but not more complete. This man is a legend.
Yes
@@exxxz1999ffs anyone who says this knows nothing about the sport
@@exxxz1999not the point he is trying to make. You can hop on gear and gain more muscle than naturally, but it takes determination to really develop your muscles. you don’t build legs like that by half assing it
@@isaacschuit5650exactly even with gear and maybe steroids it still takes a lot of hard work and genetics as well
@@exxxz1999literally no one is saying this is achievable naturally, the context that gear is involved is already given. Even with heroic cycles 99% of people couldn’t achieve these legs.
Tom Platz is a natural equivalent to Pre-work out. He gives me so much energy at the gym whenever I hear or see him.

Watched this today and had the most insane and intensive leg day. When I mean I can’t walk I mean I physically can’t stand up or walk two steps without tripping.
Tom Platz has to be one of the most motivating human on planet earth.
I did leg day recently some pretty heavy squats for me and then some weight hip thrusts and my hamstrings were the most sore I’ve ever felt them for a solid 2-3 and a half days after every time I bent down it hurt and i was walking awkwardly from the soreness but I was happy and thanks to Tom platz I’m not gonna stop!
The best statement about Tom Platz ever
About his ability to motivate
Tom Platz represents the perfect mentality of bodybuilding!
Legend has it that he invented a new meaning of the word legend with his legs. Leg-end.
Leg end. Train legs to the end. To failure.
Oh shit that's mind blowing
Can’t spell “Legendary” without “Leg day”.

Love this guy with all my heart, he's a true champion, uncrowned Mr. Olympia! #TheGoldenEagle
Tom Platz one of the best bodybuilder off all time
So motivating with such intensity of training
No one has the training mentality of Tom Platz. Even if he just talk about Training, his voice and look in his eyes change. He trained harder than Arnold, harder than Ronnie Coleman and every other Bodybuilder out there.
It's not about the weight, it's about intensity. Intensity it what really hurts, go throw that point where the muscles burning like Hell.
You can't get that feeling with to heavy weights and less repetitions, it's also hard, but in a different way.
There is nothing over INTENSITY!

Did you say ronnie Coleman???
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@manuelborges3598 when it comes to intensity, I would definitely say yes. Of course not, when we talk about strength and heavy weights.

A true champion and a real man! This is what training with intensity really is!
regular person: back day, chest day, arm day, shoulder day , leg day.
Tom: leg day, leg day, leg day, leg day, total body day
No, he actually did squat twice a month
@@justjordan9983 Exactly. He trains so hard that he needs a couple weeks for resting his legs.
dumb bro: back day, chest day arm day, shoulder, leg day

I was so tired today yet i forced myself to the gym(im the gym type of guy), but there is somedays i feel really down and demotivated. I remembered about this Tom Platz speech and i already knew that i turned my defeat into a win. We got this!
Dude I just love this guy there's something about the way that he speaks that's so genuine. He gives me the most motivation
Tom “The Maniac” Platz. The ultimate motivation.
4:10 Tom Platz did an interview revealing that his fiance at the time left him then, and he used all that dark thoughts to push his limits at the gym for the upcoming bodybuilding comp. That's part of why his best clips look like life or death training - for most men in that situation, it would be. He's awe inspiring for when you think life is too tough to blast your body at the gym - that's exactly when you should do it!
My god! he turned what would crush most men into something to push him further towards victory! Took all his anger out in the gym to push himself harder than ever before and he became a legend!
A fiancee leaving= life or death training for most men? 😂
I listen to this before every workout and it gets me so fucking pumped up. Nothing fires me up like Tom Platz
Had a shitty workout today, nearly left without doing my final exercise, then I played this. I don’t take these videos for granted, they help a lot.
I like his sheer determination . The gym gives me that attitude that life worth it .
Tom Platz is forever, mega respect!
Tom Platz is a real star of positivity. You feel it even now when he talks.
This man is a complete legend. God bless this great man💯
"Welcome to the pain zone, we live here."
I can listen to this legend day in day out so inspirational .
"If you're not first, you're last"
-Tom Platz
The effort he shows to leg days especially.! ♥️
This guy has change my own personal training sessions now I push myself like him.
Tom is the man! What a great attitude. I have seen videos of him training more modern day body builders and although those guys are huge, they can barely keep up with what Tom pushes them to do. You RULE Tom!
The Mith..the Legend... Tom Platz till this day no one stands his leg workout 💪
A true inspiration🙏
Tom was the legend for his legs.
Best ever.
Yes his legs were insane but man..... he was the full package.
Then why did he win only ONE pro contest?
@@junk5354 personally I think his genetics, his work ethic was more than there. Should’ve won more though .
@@junk5354 because judging is messed up and extremely backwards he was robbed of many! Titles
I never used to do squats, or leg day consistently. Listened to some of his motivation and I started doing squats and leg day more often. Thank you Tom🐐
I always love a bodybuilder in the golden era..... It's a amazing era of bodybuilding
Beautiful. Finally someone who understands me lol. I feel like a loser unless I put everything in the gym and almost collapse.
If you want to collapse in the gym you better try HIT, also known as Heavy Duty by Mike Mentzer
Whoa. You're so badass
And by the looks of your build, it didn’t benefit you one bit. You always have to take these videos with a grain of salt and realize that these guys are walking pharmacies and it’s easy to be motivated and work hard when you have that much testosterone coursing through your veins. I know because I’ve been on it
@@Avogadros_number imagine how you feel with trenbolone running thru your body. It's 10x what you get from testosterone
But you don’t look like you know what the gym even is?? I’m confused
Cannot not love, Tom Platz! True legend ❤
That level of commitment is just beautiful
God dam Tom Platz is the most intense bodybuilder of all time. He takes it to the absolute extreme and beyond lol
Tom Platz "I didnt have any Genetics but I had this attitude"
Rich Piana "You need a good set of Genetics to be successful" Hmmm
"I didn't have any genetics..."
Look at these calves. Calves didn't look like this without genetics! Lol :D
thats why you should only listen to your self. so dont listen to me
Everyone under roids will achieve that it’s not a mystery that everyone back then was on them but it’s partly true what rich said if you have good genetics you’ll achieve faster results then half the people at the gym
@@garcia8523able You need to realise even on roids you STILL have to train hard as fuck but you see results quicker but obviously health risks to consider
mike ham I never said you didn’t plus we were talking about genetics

The best motivational video in the RUclips history 💪💪🔥🔥🔥😍
I passed my degree with a non stop 36 hour writing session
I grew up admiring him in the 1970s. I got to know him a bit when living in Venice from 90-93. What a fantastic guy, and his influence was profound on leg day, 2-3x a week. Don't forget the shoes. He always said you need a good base for squat day.
he only did leg day once every 9 days
@@homelander7506 they were my favorite. Everyone is different. What did he tell you? Btw you can do legs more than once a week, but may only want to do one heavy day/squats or hack squats per week. Guys were still doing HIT in the 1990s, but separating workouts. Major groups Heavy to failure. Sub groups Light to failure. Been out of it too long. I’m sure everything is different now days.
@@markvisconti4507 ive done leg workouts twice a week, i found it ineffective in comparison, best to do a personal record breaking all out effort once a week max. I got so much more progress that way
@@markvisconti4507 I think alot of it is the nervous system, the muscle recovers quick especially because we're all gear heads, but mentally and nervous system wise its too much
Unfortunately for me, youth was wasted on the young. I worked hard, consistent, decent diet, good control, but many-many injuries. Tom wasn't around a whole lot, and I never saw him train there, but maybe he saw that I was one of the few guys doing significant weight full-depth/bucket reps, no bouncing, to failure. He always commented on my shoes, or lack thereof. Mike Mentzer was there, and I knew him a lot better. We saw each other several times a week for years. A super nice guy, but I hardly ever bothered him for advice. Opportunity lost. Again, youth wasted on the young. Take care, have a good day or evening.@@homelander7506
