The echo of the world Throughout time Reproduction, failing to ignite The lack of what I've turned into light Cold reflection, hanging in the night A sharp and empty crime To realize Advertised immaculate design A life you want to live Idealized Breaks apart the earth around me Things I can't remember This is not where I would Want to talk about my life Old time mutilated Strung out on the pavement Nothing stopping them this time Going on and on and on and on and on Going on and on and on and on and on Forward arc, forward arc Forward arc, forward arc The echo of the world In my time You'll never take it back The echo of the world In my time You'll never take it back The echo of the world The echo of the world The echo of the world You'll never take it back The echo of the world The echo of the world The echo of the world You'll never take it back
I saw them live for the first time when they toured the album, and I had never taken the time to watch performances of then and man, was I thrown away. I play drums sometimes, used to have a kit, started back lessons before the pandemic. I'm not an expert, but I pay attention to drums. Echo of the World was a clear highlight for me because of those chaotic drums, and I guess I was expecting some sort of gigantic set or something. And then the guy shows up and that's his entire kit. It's so very barebones! How the hell does he do that? How can he create such gigantic chaos with just these small pieces? Honestly, this guy is one of the most talented and impressive drummers in the rock scene right now: I'd watch videos of just him play songs for hours, honestly
Incredible band. Such a cool location for a live performance too. We have our own live series out of the midwest called Coop Sessions and we'd love for you to watch our newest releases. Come tell us what you think! It's been so much fun for us to make these, Thanks for all the great live videos and inspiration Audiotree!
It’s a mid 80’s Peavy t40. I have one from 81, and it’s one of the most totally versatile basses ever made. It’s heavy as fuck though, but sustain is epic with that big hunk of ash.
Yep, Peavey T40. Introduced in 1978 and made up until 1987. A very unique instrument. The tone controls coil split the humbuckers when you roll em past 7. They came with an aluminum nut and a huuuge bridge for extra sustain. I think my weighed in around 13 pounds. The natural finish bodies were ash and the solid color/sunburst bodies were alder. I highly recommend buying one or at least trying one out. The T60 (guitar) is pretty cool too, just not as interesting as the T40.
Yeah, it uses all the instruments you're familiar with, in the time signature you're familiar with, and the scales you're familiar with, written in a language you understand, and it's the song length you're used to, but I'm so sorry they're wearing beanies and aren't doing ACDC covers man. I know it's pretty rough to see things change so rapidly.
The drummer is a certified beast
he speeds up though, but i enjoy it
The way the camera person pans back at the end is a perfect demonstration of Cloud Nothings' recurrent use of controlled chaos
The echo of the world
Throughout time
Reproduction, failing to ignite
The lack of what I've turned into light
Cold reflection, hanging in the night
A sharp and empty crime
To realize
Advertised immaculate design
A life you want to live
Idealized
Breaks apart the earth around me
Things I can't remember
This is not where I would
Want to talk about my life
Old time mutilated
Strung out on the pavement
Nothing stopping them this time
Going on and on and on and on and on
Going on and on and on and on and on
Forward arc, forward arc
Forward arc, forward arc
The echo of the world
In my time
You'll never take it back
The echo of the world
In my time
You'll never take it back
The echo of the world
The echo of the world
The echo of the world
You'll never take it back
The echo of the world
The echo of the world
The echo of the world
You'll never take it back
This mixes all my loves of Cloud Nothings, Audiotree and Rock Climbing !!

Great stuff chaps. The drummer is great.
Didn’t know David foster Wallace is the lead singer of a rock band!
lol
He tried wearing his Steven Wilson face for this occasion
Infinite Shreds
those green XLR cables are sick as hell imo
3:16 was a pretty neat transition, you can even see the smile on ya boy’s face as he nails it
I feel like this would sound heavier if the bass was more noticable
More 🅱️ass
i love these guys dearly but EVERY time i have seen them live (being 5-6 times now) their bassist is always barely audible
this is much better than studio version
Holy shit this is amazing!
Wow.
Banger
Drummer was fantastic.
Awesome venue XD
22 dislikes... Why?

Tone looks like a peavey t40

Cant hear the voice
Drummer is great but the bass is almost non-existent :(
Oof, this was really hard to watch honestly. Not for me.
k
luke walden cool
Just noise
The best kind
