This is the only winner this show has ever had that I truly believe anyone could learn and imitate the tricks of. 4/10 level magic at best.

@@haiderm7745 I disagree. His magic is clearly not meant to be mind blowing or jaw dropping. It’s simply meant to be entertaining. In my opinion, the point of the act is the message he is getting across. If he performs some mind blowing and complex magic act, people will be focusing on that and not listening to his words

The fact I’ve met Dustin and his family wayyy before he’s ever done magic and was a music artist makes this so much bettter. I’m so happy for him
Yeah he went to the same high school as me and would come and perform his songs at assemblies. One of the kids in my grade got to be in a song with him back then. Crazy to see him become so successful knowing we grew up in the same town
@@JimmyGeeb I still listen to some of his music it’s awesome seeing areas I grew up in on music videos. I just can’t believe he switched to magic instead of singing on agt but he still killed it

Well have you seen the winner before him? The spoken poetry guy. With a touching poetry in his audition because he included his dead brother that died when he was 6. All his other performaces were average and his finals performance ended without even starting. Lol
If this was his first audition .. probably he will get the red buzzer instantly..

I think I have the trick figured out.. he said “pick up from one that is face down…” so I bet the ones with the words other then dream had it written on both sides hahahah I wonder if I am correct and you can see how he wrote out the letters of magic to spell out dream.. I feel like the cellphone light thing at the end was staged … but still cute 🥰 and I love how he involves his family.
There are many sticks with the word ‘dream’..so Sofia can’t miss to pick the matching word.
Honestly, with Dustin you can work out his tricks in about 60 seconds. His technicals skills are well below average

Yes, thought the same. The reason he could discard some, is probably, they were weighted to stay face up. Actually found it boring and drawn out.

I know he’s a winner, for this performance I’d buzz him. It was predictable and I knew the word “Dream” would be revealed in his written magic.

Most of the audience foresaw it that's why cheering started late imo. Pretty basic trick.

I still find it annoying that AGT allows magic acts to be like 7-9 mins long when the actual competition is going on, but songs have to be really short and comedy routines even shorter.
I don't think it's average. Shows how people have no empathy. He is story telling magician. Can't get enough. Always complaining. People. Judges are not idiot. Simon is not mad to appaul him loud. So go and see his performances again. Rock it up Dustin. 💖💖💖💖💖😘😘😘
So glad Dustin gets to spend time with his boys. I retired a few years ago to become a stay at home dad and its been the best time of my life.

I'm happy that the country dude and the jazz boy made to the finals and I'm also happy that the parmesan guy dude not move on thank God.
Parmesan was one of those acts that were for fun not ment to win

I can't be the only one thinking it's a pretty basic trick? The popsicle stick selection is forced, they're all/mostly been labeled on both sides with different words except for a few that he picked up at the beginning that's single sided. All the few remaining singled sided one is labeled with "dream" that's why he told Sofia to picked a face down one (she had trouble finding one since most of them are faced up).
It is a force, I knew that much. But if the sticks with dream on it were showing face up, Sofia could see multiple Dream sticks. That doesn't seem like a good way to perform the trick. Maybe he took the risk. Sofia wouldn't have anyway noticed the words since the words were too colorful and it's hard to focus on the words in such a setting.
Not you job to tell people that, it might be simple ,but it is effective.
Ps. You must be fun at parties.
And he is hiding the sticks that he's showing to the audience in his right palm. Now only I noticed it.
I was rather disappointed, Such a lame trick, I don't do magic nor know much about magic but I figured that out right away like Luan Ly stated. I can't believe he won last year. Nothing magical about that trick at all.

He scooped up the only popsicle sticks that had words on 1 side, all the other ones that were "facing down" had the word dream on it. No magic here.

That last trick with the phones was kind of scary. He made everyone's phone light come on! WTF? If he'd made everyone's phone open some program, I'd have tied my phone off and run to get a security expert.
Was done with a QR code that was not on screen.... they cut out the open camera...scan code part of it!

when this magician goes rambles on without doing much, nobody buzzes, while a comedian gets 10 seconds to be hilarious. I see you Cowell.

@@jackyb968 When somone gets their family/other accessories involved in their acts, it's a sign that they don't have anything much to showcase or that their content is weak... So the family/accessories serve to divert attention from the main act to gain the sympathy of the viewers.... It's one thing to be a family person.. it's a whole other thing to display it on a stage where you are supposed to work instead of actually doing your work... Again, my opinion...

wow Dustin's Magic trick on the greatest show ever Americas Got Talent was incredible. I could not believe what he did was even possible but the way to believe in yourself is by sticking to a goal and doing it and you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. There are no limits out there. The only limits are those that you impose on yourself. Dream, believe and last but not least take action.

There was so many incredible talents on this show. Not sure how this magician won. I seen his performances and they fail in comparison to others.

@@wizard33 He was on stage for about 10 minutes talking about hope and stuff....and he only did 2 magic tricks, and a couple mentalist tricks. He easily could've shortened that act to 30 seconds if he removed all of that talking....... but he won because he received the most votes.....not because he has the best act.

I was wondering how he turned on everyone's phone lights then Terry said "in partnership with xfinity" at the end lol. "Those" phones were probably given to the audience as a prop. The paint can switch was the most impressive thing out of it all and it was just a gimmick can lol!
That or they all downloaded an app as the entered the building and the permissions were set so it had access to the phones light.
Considering there literally wasn’t a single android phone in that entire audience I’d say you’re right
I was there, it was sync through an app.
It was a QR code through an app the whole audience downloded.
I figured something like that. Not really magic though haha
