There has been at least one large spill into the tribe's drinking water. Let's hope that will be the last. Sophia, you played a huge part in this victory and paid dearly for it.

I have questions about the real motive in stopping pipeline construction. Tar sand oil requires $60/barrel to be profitable but the current price is around $40/barrel. So have the corporations quietly begged the courts to help them get out of their bad contracts ?

Remember this happened during Obama’s administration. The report keeps mentioning Trump. I was there in November 2016 and all people involved need to be prosecuted for violating human rights. Stopping the pipeline is only the first step.

I have a cousin who was a manager for drilling platforms all over South America and he said that he was ordered to dump the drill waste and oil into the water and on the ground with out regard for the environment. A lot goes on that we aren't allowed to see or know.

Umm. I hope everyone understands this occurred because of the collapse of the Fracking industry resulting from the oil price drop due to the pandemic. This pipeline was intended to carry fracked oil. That industry is dead. As a result, there's less big money pushing for the pipeline. We'll take the win, but this one's a win only because of economic conditions.
