Now you tell me. I encountered this shortly after learning to meditate from taking a Silva meditation course. The positive affirmations they teach did not work for me. After a couple of sessions of abruptly ending my meditation without the slow count down, I made a decision to confront this. What I was seeing looked like eyes and distorted face with a head that expanded out and disappeared into nothingness. Some videos about Carl Jung and the shadow self show this face perfectly. So one night I entered into a deep meditation and when the “beast” appeared I did a Haka like action (traditional Maori chanting dance). Well that drove both fear and anger negative energies way up. So this thing attacked like a wild animal. But I gave back just as good. When it bit, I bit back. When it ripped my arms and legs off, I ripped it’s arms and legs off. As this when on for a while until I realized I could “will’ my arms and legs back. Well it’s all imaginary, isn’t it? So every time it bit off my arms and legs, I would “grow” them back. After a few times I began to laugh, realizing it could not hurt me. Then it receded. But after that was over something strange happened. I began to feel like there were beings watching me. When I looked back I could see what looked like a crowd of hooded beings behind me. And I got the feeling that they were cheering, but there was no sound. It looked like a small stadium set of bleachers of these hooded beings, all cheering. According to the Todd Murphy god helmet site many people report seeing hooded figures when specific parts of the brain are activated. It’s called the Sensed Presence: “One common visitor experience is that of seeing a hooded figure, like a monk, or a shrouded figure. These kinds of visitors are entirely covered except for their hands and face. Such an experience would tend to indicate the involvement of the parahippocampal gyrus, located on the bottom of the inner planes that divide the brain into two parts, about midway along its length.” So that’s another way to get past the “Gate Guardian”. I no longer fear anything I encounter in deep meditation. I later learned from a Joseph Campbell book that Shamans experience this being ripped apart as part of their initiation into the ephemeral realm. In Star Wars when Luke goes down into the cold cave, encounters Darth Vader and chops off Vader’s head, what did he see in the decapitated helmet? His own face. Himself. That’s who the Gate Guardian is. You.

This video is just what I’m looking for, it might be a coincidence but after I OMed in the chakras after the second time I had a frightening experience in the night that stopped me from meditating for nearly a year. I will try the Navi technique to get rid of the fear, thank you Forrest.
Thank you for this fantastic video! 🙏🏻 It is unbelievable how powerful this is! I was initiated in another lineage, but exactly this technique. Guru told to do 4 rounds of nabhi kriya before the main kriya technique. I did that daily for about 1,5 years and then noticed by chance, that all my aversions had either completely or almost vanished. All food aversions gone. Aversions against certain situations gone. I can lick a public toilet with my tongue without feeling any discomfort. At that time I reduced the practice to only 2 rounds. And I dont do it daily anymore. The fear reduction was/is almost too much, at some points I wasnt only fearless but also neglected being cautious. Am just wondering if maybe another- more suggestive - title might give this video a wider audience? This one surely deserves millions of viewers. 🙏🏻

Wow what a great bit of info Forrest. I think that I ought to change up the sequence of my meditation. Every day I begin with the Heart Rate Variability Resonant Breathing for 10 minutes. Then I do Om Japa in the chakras. Then I do Navi Kriya and then I sit still. It looks like I ought to do the Navi before the Om Japa? You've explained why I occasionally have a 1 second wave of sheer terror running through my body just as I'm about the fall asleep. I've never understood it until now. I'd really like to have a brief chat with you tomorrow in the Satsung if there's time, to understand exactly what Kriya is. In this video you mentioned that you begin with the breath work and then you do the Navi and then "I do my Kriya". What do you mean by "and then I do my Kriya"? I thought that Navi was Kriya. I probably don't really understand what Kriya encompasses. I have had 2 wonderful out of body experiences. The first time was spontaneous and the second one was intentional. I've been trying to get out of my body again since then but have not yet managed to do it except to hover about 1' above my body. I am going to try your method of gently rocking my body back and forth and then stopping. I'm sure that will result in an out of body experience.

So for a few months I hadn't experienced where I kept seeing what I can only describe as a giant cosmic spider that came along with a very dark feeling. And then I actually had a voice come through the only time I've had a voice come through, and it would just try to say really stupid s*** that would be negative. Negative. I wonder if that's the guardian in my encounter. Then I have a few other things like I used to get a face every time I meditated of a gray. Which was pretty weird
Forrest I have a question concerning the Chakra Om Japa you published. IS it possible/reliable to imagine the Om going into both entrances to the chakras, the front and back towards the origin, at the same time?
When you're doing the OM Japa, it's not about visualizing, but instead about feeling. It's okay to picture it, but mostly we want to just feel into what we are doing. In that case it would be easiest to pick one side, try it for a week, then pick the other side. 🙏🙏

The Hakalau videos begin to explain how Expansion works, and the Talking to the Higher Self Training gives the pathway through the brain. I haven't taken a deep dive into Expansion just yet in video, but I do mention it often. We have to let go and feel the Expansion. 🙏🙏

Hi forrest thanks for this video 😊. I find it helpful. One question , for the first week I had pain in my abdomen, that prompted me to be more gentle, but I still have aches in my abdomen area. Very good. The burping means you've awakened the digestive response. But it shouldn't hurt. So, yes, perhaps pressing too hard. It is only a tap to help place the mind in the right location.

So I'm able to do an auto body experience but as soon as it happens at basically get pulled out of it because I realized that I'm having it. I get excited unfortunately. But another method I've tried is to actually let myself go to sleep lucid dream and then go into it. Which kind of had the same results. The more I tried to control or even go with anything and woke up. And it was funny cuz I was trying not to control anything but I was trying which is the key that I was still trying and not going
So when doing navi, it seems like it would be difficult to do exactly 100 oms and exactly 25 oms from the back whilst focusing on the third chakra. Does it have to be 100 and 25, or the 4:1 ratio, or is it more of a rough estimate? Thanks!
Finding fear in meditation was a surprise to me. I found that really taking to heart Frank Herbert's "Litany Against Fear" was helpful: I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Hey Mr.forrest Would you do a video on the throat chakra, I keep seeing visions of monsters. I found a video of sahdguru saying people die horrible deaths this way. Help, please and thank you
Isaiah this video you just watched is exactly the one that you need. If I were you I would stop my normal meditation for up to 1 month and only practice this Navi technique everyday possibly three rounds twice a day if you have time.

I skipped a day and I had a dream where the same voice essentiall told me not to miss it again or else "he would not forgive me". He being God (Christian) Would I be able to do both or is your recommendation the same
@@isaiahjackson4010 you are entering into the realm of archetypes and so you have to speak with the highest of the high. When you speak to the highest of the high archetype there's no mention of not being forgiven. We also have to go down into our own subconscious and learn to forgive ourselves. So yes my advice is the same.

And doing some alternate nostril breathing to help with sleep I got an image in my mind to do karnapadasana I tried it and there were more visions of scary things and words of doom along with lots of excitement in my nervous system (I've been trying to heal my neck from a bad spinal injury and have come across this issue many times)

Forrest, thanks for the video. I have a question about counting up to 100. For me, counting is very distracting! I may have a workaround but I need your opinion on it. I am able to Om 9 times fairly easily. So, I am thinking of doing 2 sets of 9 using my thumbs. Then do a few more sets of 9. Trouble is, I can't keep track of how many sets of 9 I'll do! Any hints?

I had many obe over the course of time Spontaneous I guess my energies were at a peak and kept feeling expansion and got shot out of body Some were pleasant, some not as pleasant
My mind and body must be used to the chemicals that are produced whenever I'm fearful. Having done this technique on many occasions, it's always been of great benefit, yet I fight against using it. I call it "courting cortisol". Some of these brain chemicals are truly addictive and not all of them are good for ya!😅

What about primal terror coming from the root chakra ? From kundalini awakening and purging

Hi forrest thanks for this video 😊. I find it helpful. One question , for the first week I had pain in my abdomen, that prompted me to be more gentle, but I still have aches in my abdomen area. Is it because I’m pressing too hard or something else. I also burp afterwards but I understand why that will happen. Thank you Forrest 😊
Very good. The burping means you've awakened the digestive response. But it shouldn't hurt. So, yes, perhaps pressing too hard. It is only a tap to help place the mind in the right location.

So I'm able to do an auto body experience but as soon as it happens at basically get pulled out of it because I realized that I'm having it. I get excited unfortunately. But another method I've tried is to actually let myself go to sleep lucid dream and then go into it. Which kind of had the same results. The more I tried to control or even go with anything and woke up. And it was funny cuz I was trying not to control anything but I was trying which is the key that I was still trying and not going

So when doing navi, it seems like it would be difficult to do exactly 100 oms and exactly 25 oms from the back whilst focusing on the third chakra. Does it have to be 100 and 25, or the 4:1 ratio, or is it more of a rough estimate? Thanks!

Isaiah this video you just watched is exactly the one that you need. If I were you I would stop my normal meditation for up to 1 month and only practice this Navi technique everyday possibly three rounds twice a day if you have time.
@@ForrestKnutson Hey thanks for replying, I've been doing malasana daily for an hour, for about a week now because a "voice" said to do it. I skipped a day and I had a dream where the same voice essentiall told me not to miss it again or else "he would not forgive me". He being God (Christian)

@@isaiahjackson4010 you are entering into the realm of archetypes and so you have to speak with the highest of the high. When you speak to the highest of the high archetype there's no mention of not being forgiven. We also have to go down into our own subconscious and learn to forgive ourselves. So yes my advice is the same.
@@ForrestKnutson Thank you. Also if it's not too much, I was also instructed to practice dream yoga to deal with my subconscious not many days ago so that checks out in a strange way lol. And doing some alternate nostril breathing to help with sleep I got an image in my mind to do karnapadasana I tried it and there were more visions of scary things and words of doom along with lots of excitement in my nervous system (I've been trying to heal my neck from a bad spinal injury and have come across this issue many times)

I may have a workaround but I need your opinion on it.
I am able to Om 9 times fairly easily. So, I am thinking of doing 2 sets of 9 using my thumbs. Then do a few more sets of 9. Trouble is, I can't keep track of how many sets of 9 I'll do! Any hints?
Absolutely! Or time 100 once, and then approximate the feeling of that time from then on.
@@ForrestKnutson Thanks Forrest. I found a workaround. Two sets of 9 using my thumbs, then count off 9 sets of 9 using the pads of my fingers (which takes me to 99) then one more Om. 🙂
P.S. I find Navi Kriya very relaxing prior to doing HRV R Breathing or Om Japa!

In that case, you can skip that part. Or put the neck down for a little bit, then up, then down for a little bit.

My mind and body must be used to the chemicals that are produced whenever I'm fearful. Having done this technique on many occasions, it's always been of great benefit, yet I fight against using it.
I call it "courting cortisol". Some of these brain chemicals are truly addictive and not all of them are good for ya!😅
