- The White House has blocked the release of audio recordings of President Biden’s interviews from the investigation into his handling of classified documents.
Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report famously described the President as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory".
Attorney General Merrick Garland advised President Biden the audio falls within the scope of executive privilege.
Congressional Republicans are fighting to gain access to the audio recordings.
James Comer said Biden and his advisers "fear" the release of the recordings because it will “reaffirm to the American people that President Biden's mental state is in decline".

Invoking Executive Privilege didn't work for President Nixon with the White House tapes back during Watergate. SCOTUS stated that Executive Privilege cannot be invoked for those tapes. And on the immigration issue, what to do with the children. Place them in local schools. Terrible idea, because there are not enough bi-lingual teachers, American students lose out on the amount of time needed for them to learn because of the difficulty of children in the class who do not speak English. Everyone loses.
