Lincoln is a stunning historical city.. The architecture is beautiful olde world charm.... The Cathedral is magnificent . Also has independent shops... which is rare in itself ....and lots more to see.. I ❤ it....

Looks like a beautiful place to visit and love the fact some roads appear pedestrian only! The church is huge and it's spires look awesome! The castle walls are also quite impressive! I am scared of driving on your side of the road so i understand that fear which is why we always go to places with good public transport! My sons old girlfriend used to go to Uni there, so I would sometimes drop/pick him up but never stopped. Looks like I should have done, never know how nice it was, reminded me of York and the cathedral was stunning, inside and out. A place to put on the visit list for next year! Cheers Alan

I was born in Lincoln just off Nettleham Road, less than a mile from the cathedral, in 1959. Sadly I have never got to know the city of my birth having visited only on a few day occasions in my adult life, although it was good to walk there on my solo hike from Dover to Edinburgh in 2018. Your video is great quality and gives a very good overview of a place that I hope I will get better acquainted with. Hoping to visit by boat next time 👍

Thanks for watching. They are both great and outstanding cathedrals but I think that Lincoln is often regarded as being the finer architecture while York has the greater size. They are both epic and worth visiting!

And Durham Cathedral was the second highest behind Gizza pyramids when built in 11th century. I believe all three towers on both cathedrals once had spires attached they must have been sone sight .

It certainly seems that Lincoln Cathedral is fully on par with York Minster. And the front facade looks to be more exciting and rich in detail.
