I’ve seen so much Slowbro and I’m both happy that my favorite defender gets more play and also frustrating with it’s Unite move being hard to deal with.
same but one game I got multiple slowbeams on enemy sableye and that has been the highlight of my unite life so far

Slowbro has the most fair unite move. You take yourself out of the action for a few seconds while doing to same to a single enemy. The payoff is probably eliminating that enemy.
I find it frustrating because Scaldbro is more of an attacker and Surfbro is a true defender. Almost no one runs Surfbro and the lack of cc in a team comp is detrimental
@jessicamendoza9407 surfbro is the only way I play lol. I have no idea how anyone plays the other way. I like setting my team up, especially against a mewtwo.
Nicely played at the last fight. Although I think the Dodrio made the right play to score when you were flagging gather here. He actually put enough in to make sure a ray fight win could actually win on score (win by 45, he put in 48). Although your team was silly and not breaking so you couldn't get the dunk in centre, that score allowed a safety buffer. Awesome gameplay and again, so well played at last 2 mins as Slowbro
i started maining slowbro last season because my team never picks a support or a defender
so slowbro was perfect, a self-healing tank that can secure with scald and annoy with surf was the call, with melee teams i go with surf just because you can break combos pretty nicely
Scald doing 1/4 of Mamoswine's health in 1 hit is a testament to this build
Surfbro is solid too. Scald can get crazy damage in and kills over 8 minutes but surf can win you the Rayquaza fight.
I like Muscle Band/Rapid Scarf Bro (with some defensive item, mainly focus band). Early game it can deal deceptively lots of damage. Also Amnesia give you so much survivality, but I love telekenisis too much. Its so mean to have mini ult every 7 seconds.
I've been playing playing scaldbro recently and even tho I don't consistently win (solo q, and I haven't really gotten used to playing defenders yet) but he can do really good.
Scald is good secure, good damage and good CC in one package (with opponents getting their physical attack stat reduced too!), Amnesia with Slowbro's ability makes him an absolute lly annoying tank if you know when to use Amnesia in a fight.
I've been going for a more tank set with some good damage (Buddy barrier + focus band for tankiness & Choice specs for scald damage increase) and it's hilarious how long Slowbro can last in fights!

I’m usually an all rounder/attacker kind of guy but this season I’m running Slowbro and Blissey and I’m actually having fun with them. 😊

it's tough out here for defenders but slowbeaming the enemy is never not fun.
This game NEEDS a score board. Theres nothing worse than guessing on whether you need to defend becuase you are ahead or go score. Its literally game breaking because it causing players to just do things without reason.

With the fanbase it would only add more "forfait" at 5min...
They stated why there isn't early on when the game came out. It's because when tested with an actual counter the losing team just gave up and would forfeit

I feel like double stacking with focus band is the way to go. The longer you live the more damage you can do. I've had 110k damage games with this setup. 6 white 6 green and 3 black
Loved the Rivals streams! Well done to you and Cris! I think this would be a great time for you both to showcase how the pro's can carry a game with 0 kills and 20k damage. Sure, we all love a carry with 20 kills and 100k damage videos but we barely saw any of that this weekend! Please do a highlight reel of how the game should actually be played
Paired with a great secure move and an lvl 4 evolution, AND THEN a huge healthpool and 2 hp regen moves, Slowbro is insane
He may have just died most of the game, but Ursifu did get the Rayquaza secured.

I don't know about playing bro without focus band. I can see how shell bell is debatable, but focus band is basically a must.

Been playing slowbro since last season. Scald and amnesia, with sp items, great sustain.

I remember killing an absol(with an) eldegoss after a 60+second battle the eldegoss immediately ran away after absol died, was fun

I prefer focus over stacking and x speed over potion. Gives you more escape options when your team doesn't do what you want and it's just a bit more consistent.
I agree I think tankier items are better on slowbro. I prefer aeos cookies, stacking glasses and either buddy barrier or focus. The double stack is so strong om him and the extra health makes potion heal more since its based on max hp.
the secret to potion is that it heals 2x when you use it during slack-off. potion is good later in the game too because slowbro's blue health mechanics mean you're still getting basically twice the value out of the heal
May have to try this build on him... I play him mostly tanky support but this could be fun.

About the bot games: I deleted the game this saturday for the first time because i got 2 bot games. I went crazy, played very well but still couldn't win. Played still in Ultra because i have not grinded yet. I tried to practice with new pokemon but i don't want to be punished for not doing it in masters. Very disappointed in the game

For the botgames try to steal as much exp as possible, and try to secure bottom regie, usually with these you destroy the opposite team

I main mamoswine but I played a few rounds with slowbro and it is honestly pretty fun
i was stuggling moving on to another rank so itried finding my defenders/supporters and slowbro is so good!
Slowbro with muscle band. Seriously, try it. Suprisingly good. Can run fire scarf too if you want.
I always use double stack(aeos cookie, spa specs) but switch up my 3rd item (focus band, muscle band, choice specs)(in order of how i often i use)
I do tend to do way more damage with muscle band by the end but my dmg taken is reduced ALLOT(compared to focus band), and kills is generally lower than specs(burst damage helps secure as well)
Yeah, Slowbro has a surprisingly good attack stat, better than his special one actually. Been running muscle band/rapid fire scarf/focus band since I noticed. Works really well, certainly a lot better than you'd think just looking at it.
I played this build today and I got 70K+ Damage every game.
The stuff is good, just trying to keep the mice off it and the police in the Unknown.

Question - Why wise glasses over focus band? Wise glasses are not really that great in comparison? You could really enhance this build with replacing wise glasses with focus sash! Just a thought!
If you lose too many games in sequence the algorithm puts you against bots, so you can have a little bit of hope back
Honestly, I don't know what a death counter would harm anybody. The kids barely even play this game and if you think that death counter is more toxic than VC then maybe you're just afraid of what it may show.
On another note, Solo Q Scald Bro is the way to go because carry kinesis Bro is very depedant of who you carry, sadly. Scald is such a good secure.

Personally I main camorant and I hate to see people aren’t using camorants full potential using the prey feature my favorite combo is dive tornado dive and I love when I get under half health and just start decimating

My biggest complain with slowbro is the sec pause just after you use amnesia.....

I still prefer surf. Did 120k yesterday with it.
I play sylveon with the same tanky emblem set. Higher mobility with draining kiss and potion the enemy gets frustrated ko my sylvy.
I think it's a disservice to not run muscle band on slowbro with any buuld
I still remember the time Jake despised scald when the game came out
It was terrible back then. But it got a big buff at some point which made it much more viable. He wasn't wrong (tbh he rarely is).
@@sammoon7897 iirc the move was bugged at launch. it only applied like half of the damage ticks it was supposed to. plus surf was very powerful by comparison so there was no reason not to use that instead

Try this build please.... Use potion.... Unkillable slow bro as it is tanky... It can damage enemy for a long time... Staying alive... Enemy need atleast 20k damage or 30k to kill you... I found the best slow bro build... Please try this build jake... And let me know how is this build.... And make another video on it.... This build good or bad...

As of right now, I'm in the middle of a losing streak... went from Ultra to Veteran & I'm not sure why this is happening...
Does the game itself hate me & is intentionally putting me on bad teams almost every time?
Did I somehow suddenly lose all of my skills?
Are all of the 5 stack teams being matched up against solo q players like myself?
Whatever the case, very few things I tried worked out...
Kinda scared to even try a stacking build because it seems like the harder I try to stack, the less I get to...
It's like whenever I use a stacking build, that's when the enemy team suddenly becomes super defensive of their bases to the point where scoring becomes impossible, even when I'm not carrying that much.
& a lot of times, my own allies seem determined to sabotage/abandon me...
It’s the teammates trust me
it's normal, the matchmaking system is pretty bad
as long as you don't consistently throw you'll climb eventually if you keep playing

am I the only one who thinks that surf is just way better? I've started the game yesterday coming from league, based on my experience with league there is nothing more important than cc. sure scald has dmg, surf has dmg and multiple cc's in one move. I havent lost a game with surf yet and I'm omw to prove that surf is better

I'm Master 1300 and rising and I get bot matches every other match, especially after a lose. Definitely after 2. Not funny having TiMi put me in a busybox for 10 min.

Don't need any nerf, it's a tank that actually tank. Slow don't secure objective, have a poor mobility, Scald only apply hindrance but no CC.
