Your voice sounds so cool I don't know why also this bow looks amazing look of a compound simplicity of a recurve it's awesome I really want one now but I'm 13 and am gonna get my first real compound bow for Christmas and I'm making a recurve but I want this one
Just received oneida talon. For about two years i've been shooting traditional korean bow. It seems that this oneida talon shoots more accurately. Suitable for speed shooting. Im using 3 fingers to shoot the oneida talon and thumb release with the korean traditional bow.
Late to the party, but just came upon this video while reminiscing about my old Oneida AeroForce X-80. Absolutely dead on about the accuracy: my first time out with the X-80, I split an arrow right down the middle, and that was shooting instinctive. Nothing got people's attention at the range like that bow at full draw. I will say mine was not remotely as quiet as the Black Eagle, even when paired with fat Easton Gamegetter arrows. I ended up selling it off after I became paranoid about the steel power cables snapping under tension and possibly whipping me in the face. I do miss it, though I'm not sorry I never had to learn how to work on the thing.
Do write them emails and stuff! I think they got some new young staff who really wanna make the company work. They know RUclips and internet is important these days. Especially if they wanna expand their market to younger generations or new entries to the market. Even if it's just a rental for a couple months and/or discounted price for ownership afterwards would be great and i think it really might be a feasible idea. I think they should do that with other customers to begin with. You got nothin to lose man.
If you're interested in making your own arrows, you can get some prepreg carbon fiber from easy composites. Also check out their rolling carbon fiber video. It's pretty simple and boy oh boy, with the correct things, lightweight tips and flechings, we got the weigh down to two grams per arrow. You can also fuck around with the power on these bows and if you use a pully system you can make it a 300+ lb drawback that is actually pretty light.
I had one of those, I think mine was a Eagle 2 or Iron eagle 2, something like that? Lol Mine also was in like a winter camo, been a long time.. My only complaint was it was Super Loud!!!
arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Oliver_Queen%27s_bow yes Stephen did use a kestrel Chronologically, Oliver has used 7 bows; a traditional carbon fiber longbow, a recurve bow, an Oneida Kestrel compound bow, which was later modified slightly, a League of Assassins takedown recurve bow, another Oneida Kestrel compound bow, and later another custom recurve bow.
Jason'sBushcraft Adventures they are light and reliable. Big time for bow fisherman Although costly it compares to to high quality compounds. Go shot one at bass pro shop and you'll see.
i practice this sport and i have a compaund bow but i start with a recurve bow so i looked this video and i am surpise because this bow is awesome .... and another thing like if you know how to use a bow or yo practice this sport
I’m just waiting on a Oneida eagle bow it looks like the same bow but could be the screaming eagle which string did u use on this bow? Any advice be welcomed
+davidmartin192 as long as your bow is set to YOUR draw length, your arrows should be 1 or two inches past your draw length depending on spine and field point weights. Mine is 29 in so my arrows are 30 in with a 125 grain point. They shoot pretty straight. any bow shop should be able to set you up
Hey man, I have a question about an Oneida and you’re first person that came to mind. What’s your opinion about the Oneida Strike Eagle? I just picked one up off of eBay for $170. Would you choose it over the Screaming Eagle? Thank you!
Thinking about buying a black eagle for finger shooting. How does it compare to the newer bows (osprey, kestrel, phoenix)? I have a kestrel but its too short for finger shooting, but found a black eagle for a good price in near new condition. Would you recommend it despite its age?
Cool review and everything man. Just don't shoot when it seems like your dog is down range (7:48)... I don't care how accurate the bow is, anything can happen
Ya Kestral looks the way to go but damn that bill is gonna hurt. I'm gonna pick up an old eagle first for under 200 just to see how I like it. You should post a video when you get it! I just love watching these things shoot...
It has a very smooth draw. This on has an 80% let off and the transition is not so noticeable like other compounds. I don't think it make it any better than other bow. It does shoot quick and accurate! Looks crazy sweet too! light as well. Thanks for watching
That thing is cool. This is the first time seeing a bow like this and already want to know what it would be like if they made new versions. Do you know the chrono speed (fps) ? Jw
+Collin Allen I have not measured the arrow speed. I can tell you it does have lots of energy behind the XX75 Gamegetter. Arguably energy would would negate speed IMO
does the anchor point have to be changed going from a traditional recurve to an oneida? i just received my oneida aeroforce x80 (yessssss!) and the draw is a little long for me. im assuming the previous owner used a trigger release. im coming from a recurve using my index finger in the corner of my mouth as my anchor point. just wondering if i can get my oneida adjusted to do that or if i have to get used to anchoring around my chin
I/ve since change my trad anchor point to below my chin. kinda had to start over and make a different sight picture near the bow but I can tell im getting better
I'm wondering exactly how this bow works, so i get the cams, the timing cables and the hinges, but what about the limbs? which limbs bend when you draw the bow, the bottom ones(attached tho the riser) , or the top ones(the ones that are hinged on the bottom ones)?
timing cable power and yolk cables (they are like aircraft cable) screws, bolts and nuts, and the string if the bow requires a string you can check the saddle bolts while string is off
Hey, so I have a bow similar to this one but it's camo rather then like yours and I can't seem to find much information on oneida bows anywhere and you have the best review video I've found, do you mind taking a look at my bow to help me find the model name etc?
+Dominic Abel Please send me several photos. pcoca78@gmail.com. if there is a label on the bottom limb that would be very useful. off the bat if your riser is skeletonized then it is a Black Eagle or equivalant only if the cams are built into the riser. There was a Light Force Magnum with a skeletonized riser with cams off the pile on. I look forward to seeing your pics
To change out the draw length you need different modules right? But then you would also need different cables and a whole new string for the set up too?
Nicholas Bello To change draw lengths you switch out modules. It changes let off as well. Oneidas come in short, medium, and long. They range from 24" draw roughly, to 33" draw. Let off is the amount of weight in lb you are pulling back when you reach anchor. If you had a 60 lb bow with 66% let off you would be drawing back, at anchor -about 20 lb. ruclips.net/video/fzTOJpXveBY/видео.html Hope that helps
Texas Slinger just got the bow its in perfect 100/100 condition! im having trouble determining the year, draw length and type of eagle but i want to say its from 2000 if ic an get your email or something i can send you pics. it says medium draw length 43 1/4 omni flite Q8286 with "LM" written before it in pen
I need to see the label. it should be on the inside of the lower limb. I'll message you my email. You can take a pic of the label and whole bow and ill try to determine from there
Hi I recently purchased a Aeroforce x80. I am new to compound bows and this brand. You are very knowledgeable about these bows. Something does not look right to me on the cam. Don't know if is just me or if there is something wrong. I do not want to fire this bow until I find out about my concerns. Is there anyway I can get an email address so I can send you a photo and get your opinion? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
+Vincent Kugler Jr. sure. send detailed pics to pcoca78@gmail.com I will certainly do my best. by the way you can check out this video with my old X80 ruclips.net/video/rVimqlafy_Y/видео.html
Conor Stewart Paterson Theres really no advantage over another compound. I would say that for a finger shooter "compound" style bow it tends to be one of the best in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Btw what shaft size are those Easton Camo hunter? I'm trying to look for the Alum arrows from ether the Jazz, Game Getter, or Camo Hunter that would fit around 40,45pounds. Would you know which shaft 0000 size or spine 400-500 would fit that?
Raptorduder those are 3317 I think. I would go with game getter they are super tough. out of all my arrows I have shot a number of times, they have survived and kept on ticking
It would depend on the draw length and field tip weight forum.gon.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=650207&d=1329008741 check here or just google "easton aluminum arrow chart" consider what field points to use. I like heavier ones like 125. then anywhere from 340 to 500 depending on draw length. Mine is 29"
Could you shoot this with a release aid? Im getting my first bow(compound) next month and Ill be using a wrist release but really want of these in the future and shooting by fingers would be a nice option.
Thanks. I missed out on a eagle on uk eBay recently and they never come up. One day :-) Going to focus on compound for now, not sure Ill be able to wait till end of jan...think I might go in after dec pay day and pick it up :-)
+swrexhunter Oneida bows love aluminum arrows. always have, always will. Tried a few carbons. bow was louder, and arrows flight a little off. Aluminum hold up better, durable and hit harder. Thanks for the input
+Texas Slinger I shoot 340 carbon BassPro Blackout Envy (cheap) , with the heaviest tips I can find (175-200gr) ....once tuned specifically for this arrow type/setup, the bow quiets and straightens out dramatically...try it, just do it with the heaviest per inch carbons you can get...
Black Eagle would be my choice. They are not manufactured anymore. ebay is a good place to start. Also if you call CP Oneida in Michigan they have refurb Black Eagles to my knowlege
cool THX :D Now that I already asked you I would also like to know if you tried the Kestrel? and out of all the Oneida bows that you tired which would you go for?
Igor Bajic I have not tried the Kestrel. I am very pleased with the Black Eagle. Great brand new bows go for the cost of the used Black Eagle. I wouldn't mind trying the Kestrel out one day.
Such a badass looking bow.
No doubt one of the nicest looking bows out there
Anyone here from arrow because of Oliver's bow being an Oneida bow
Yeah I'm djsppotinted it don't make the same screeching noise
@S T Ξ Λ L T H who cares
Yes
Olivers bow is oneida phoenix but is very similar
Me
I was helping a neighbor move earlier, and he just gave me this bow for free. I had no clue how expense these can be.

Wasn't no black eagle for 60 dollars.
oliver queens bow
this looks exactly like Olivers bow from Arrow
+Toby Linsley it is.
+Toby Linsley it is
it's the same bow different color
its the same type of bow
Oliver uses the Oneida Kestrel
Nice bow..im a huge fan of the recurve, and i feel like that onieda bow is a nice mixture of old recurve and new compound. Nice shooting.
An amazing and sleek looking bow
oliver queen's bow
from arrow
Yes and no. Arrow's bow was modelled after the kestrel bow more than this one.
SorryIBlackedOut yep
no. oliver has a Kestrel. this is a black eagle
Oneida Eagle Kestrel Lever Action Compound Bow
Your voice sounds so cool I don't know why also this bow looks amazing look of a compound simplicity of a recurve it's awesome I really want one now but I'm 13 and am gonna get my first real compound bow for Christmas and I'm making a recurve but I want this one
Green Arrrow's bow from *Arrow*
no. Arrow uses the Kestrel. this is a black eagle.
Very cool bow :D I will admit ARROW got me here :D I am seriously thinking of buying an Oneida. Can it be used in competition?
Yes, no restrictions to my knowledge on these bows
Igor Bajic yeah my dad used his
Beautiful bow
nice video love the shooting
Cool - just rediscovered my Oneida Strike Eagle - ordered a new string and excited to shoot it after all these years.
cool deal. Hope it goes well! Thanks for watching
currently hunting for one. stunning bow.
Just received oneida talon. For about two years i've been shooting traditional korean bow. It seems that this oneida talon shoots more accurately. Suitable for speed shooting. Im using 3 fingers to shoot the oneida talon and thumb release with the korean traditional bow.
Very hard to find a Black Eagle period. I had a factory Black Eagle from Oneida in 1999 being as I shot IBO and they were my sponsor. Great find.
That’s an amazing bow

Good luck finding someone competent enough to actually service that. I had an Oneida Aeroforce which was a nightmare. Nice looking bow though.
nah. real easy... very basic
Easton xx75's are dope! I just got into archery and that's what I've been using since day one!
theyre fine arrows
I got an oneida screaming eagle. pretty much the same bow. I got mine from a pawn shop. thankfully they don't do their research
you get more viewership than any other bow dealer who feature oneida. oneida should provide some sponsorship(wana see pheonix in action)
Samuel Lord hope the send that bow to me!
Do write them emails and stuff! I think they got some new young staff who really wanna make the company work. They know RUclips and internet is important these days. Especially if they wanna expand their market to younger generations or new entries to the market.

You got nothin to lose man.
i wanna buy myself this bow i love it
cool i wish i had a bow just like that
I still have my Strike Eagle with overdraw from the 90s. I might rebuilt it.
I Will made my version, thanks
Que bonito arco de caza
the guy in the vid looks like Evan stone also cool bow
7:47 Bulldog
Stephen Amell did use a recurve compound in the cross over as the dark arrow watch supergirl
I had a fred bear bow wish i would have never sold it. But my dad had or other onieda and droped a deer at 100 yards with no problem it was a cool bow
Well it's no wonder why arrow uses this bow lol! Super accurate
That's touching arrows NOT splitting arrows. Great shooting. Nice bow.
If you're interested in making your own arrows, you can get some prepreg carbon fiber from easy composites. Also check out their rolling carbon fiber video. Yeah, nice and tight them two arrows…but are you trying to hit the top upper left corner the second round?
I had one of those, I think mine was a Eagle 2 or Iron eagle 2, something like that? Lol Mine also was in like a winter camo, been a long time.. My only complaint was it was Super Loud!!!
Ela e muito linda. gostei .
Saw one of these on craigslist for $130, and started looking them up. I'm assuming it's stolen, but I'm picking it up a 2pm tomorrow.
How often do you replace your fencing im glad i live on a big lot of land.
arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Oliver_Queen%27s_bow yes Stephen did use a kestrel Chronologically, Oliver has used 7 bows; a traditional carbon fiber longbow, a recurve bow, an Oneida Kestrel compound bow, which was later modified slightly, a League of Assassins takedown recurve bow, another Oneida Kestrel compound bow, and later another custom recurve bow.
amazing bow! if I'll ever switch from longbows to compounds I think my first choice would be an oneida. oh wait, i'd need the money first.
Enjoy one heavy ass bow which goes out of tune constantly
+jeff mosier nope. Ask any Oneida bow owner about reliability and how simple they are.
That sight looks cool, whats the brand please
snagged one of these beauties for $20 today although mines not anywhere near as equipped as yours lol
I got myself an Oneida eagle, I believe mine is an older model and I just wanted to know what strings you are using on yours.
i got a question, what do you fill up in those HDPE bags for shooting?
Recurve and compound bow all in one
is it possible to still get the bow on the right still? or are all the tomcat bows gone and you have to really look
I just got a screaming eagle. It's awesome. I have a quick question. do I need longer arrows than what I would use with my normal recurves?
+davidmartin192 as long as your bow is set to YOUR draw length, your arrows should be 1 or two inches past your draw length depending on spine and field point weights. Mine is 29 in so my arrows are 30 in with a 125 grain point. They shoot pretty straight. any bow shop should be able to set you up
I need a video on how to hangs the power cables man if you could make one
The problem with the oneidas was always timing. Very complex.
Your draw seems ok
Hey man, I have a question about an Oneida and you’re first person that came to mind. What’s your opinion about the Oneida Strike Eagle? I just picked one up off of eBay for $170. Would you choose it over the Screaming Eagle? Thank you!

I have a kestrel but its too short for finger shooting, but found a black eagle for a good price in near new condition. Would you recommend it despite its age?
haven't shot the others you mentioned. BE is very nice for fingers and can always be serviced or repaired
Cool review and everything man. Just don't shoot when it seems like your dog is down range (7:48)... I don't care how accurate the bow is, anything can happen
I should be getting my bonus soon so I'll have that krestel prob got to special order
Ya Kestral looks the way to go but damn that bill is gonna hurt. I'm gonna pick up an old eagle first for under 200 just to see how I like it. You should post a video when you get it!
I just love watching these things shoot...
i remember when that bow came out in the early 80s...they weigh a million lbs and loud as hail!
GRockBlues this bow came out in 2001. Its 4lbs. Do some curls, then we'll talk
Texas Slinger the original oneida came out around 82 or 83...they weighed about 9 lbs
Texas Slinger i have 18" bi's...im good
GRockBlues cool story bro!
Texas Slinger lol
What makes this bow so good?
I personally have a compound bow but does the hybrid design make it better in some way?
It has a very smooth draw. This on has an 80% let off and the transition is not so noticeable like other compounds. I don't think it make it any better than other bow. It does shoot quick and accurate! Looks crazy sweet too! light as well.
Thanks for watching
Been looking for an Oneida bow the strike eagle or black eagle for an aforadble price where would be a good place to get one besides ebay?
That thing is cool. This is the first time seeing a bow like this and already want to know what it would be like if they made new versions. Do you know the chrono speed (fps) ? Jw

I use different anchor points myself. from a compound with a release ill anchor lower. instinctive shooting ill anchor around my cheek.
I/ve since change my trad anchor point to below my chin. kinda had to start over and make a different sight picture near the bow but I can tell im getting better
Ya. String looks a little fuzzy :)
is that blog link still good? got a direct link?
That's the bow used on arrow
The British Guild of Assassins ALRIGHT ME KNOW!
Actually its not, oneida phoenix is used on Arrow but it does not have much of a difference
Nkik no it’s Oneida Kestrel
I'm wondering exactly how this bow works, so i get the cams, the timing cables and the hinges, but what about the limbs? which limbs bend when you draw the bow, the bottom ones(attached tho the riser) , or the top ones(the ones that are hinged on the bottom ones)?
the inner limbs flex. the shape of the cams allow for let off. I will make a good video in slow motion showing the bow in action soon. stay tuned.
Texas Slinger
thank you I appreciate it.
This screams Green Arrow!
When you get an Oneida off eBay, what are the things u have to inspect before shooting?
timing cable
power and yolk cables (they are like aircraft cable)
screws, bolts and nuts, and the string
if the bow requires a string you can check the saddle bolts while string is off
Hey, so I have a bow similar to this one but it's camo rather then like yours and I can't seem to find much information on oneida bows anywhere and you have the best review video I've found, do you mind taking a look at my bow to help me find the model name etc?

Thank you so much I sent the email just reply on there if you need any more pictures great video by the way
I do this Sport and i have a compaund bow but i start with the recurve bow and i want this bow because is awesome 😀🏹🏹

Oliver Queen's bow :)
Did it come with the case?
its awesome :)
So this is supposed to be a recurve compound hybrid?

Hi I recently purchased a Aeroforce x80. I am new to compound bows and this brand. You are very knowledgeable about these bows. Something does not look right to me on the cam. Don't know if is just me or if there is something wrong. I do not want to fire this bow until I find out about my concerns. +Texas Slinger Thank you. Been watching all your videos and learning alot from them.
I watched this a long time ago but I wanna buy one and I need to know is it compound or recurve
lever bow
Jus wunderin what gives the Oneida bows an advantage over regular compound or recurve bows?
Conor Stewart Paterson Theres really no advantage over another compound. I would say that for a finger shooter "compound" style bow it tends to be one of the best in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
have you heard of the almost exact same bow as the Muzzy by a company called Junxing model number F164? Tell me if it is the same as Muzzy or not.
I want this bow for both field and hunting, but for field, what category, compound or recurve, would this bow be put in?
lever bow
What kind of arrow rest would you suggest for a screaming eagle
+davidmartin192 prol just a little flipper style. I had a screaming eagle and shot off the shelf
Texas Slinger Do you know if the 500 game getter's are spined for 45pounds?
It would depend on the draw length and field tip weight
forum.gon.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=650207&d=1329008741
check here or just google "easton aluminum arrow chart" consider what field points to use. I like heavier ones like 125. then anywhere from 340 to 500 depending on draw length. Mine is 29"
does anyone know the full name for the tomcat bow? try searching recurve compound bow tomcat but nothing shows
onieda Tomcat
Could you shoot this with a release aid? Im getting my first bow(compound) next month and Ill be using a wrist release but really want of these in the future and shooting by fingers would be a nice option.
I have used a release in the past
Thanks. I missed out on a eagle on uk eBay recently and they never come up. One day :-) Going to focus on compound for now, not sure Ill be able to wait till end of jan...think I might go in after dec pay day and pick it up :-)
Hi, i need a bow case like this, can you help me to get?
What are you using in the bags to stop the arrows?
+TDAK a pillow $5 walmart
oh nice
Ditch those aluminium arrows and go for carbon or alloy, trust me it will dramatically improve the accuracy and feel a lot better.
What model number or brand is that sight please?
alot of people say the oneida are so noisy didnt sound noisy at all.. where can i get one at?
ebay, classified, craigslist
Which do you like better? the tomcat or the black eagle? is it possible to get one of these bows NEW? I am leaning to the black eagle..... :D
Do you shoot both recurve and compound or just recurve
+Hunt, fishing is what I like both
where did you buy it from
what are some good sights to attach to the bow?
check out these
ruclips.net/video/OzxpJ47CwFU/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/gapHc8j7JRo/видео.html
also single pin sights are available
Gostaria de adquirir um deste, poderia ser usado
Mas aqui no Brasil não, se acha para comprar...
Vc vende algun? Aero force, modelo hibrido
is this a recurve or a compound cuz it kinda looks like half recurve and half compound.
its a hybrid compound the oneida eagle archery company makes lever activated compound bows. the smooth draw of a recurve with the power of a compound
Is this an aeroforce bow or ...?
