I’m considering getting this for my 15yo daughter. The cell phone has always been a vice for her. I just wish it wasn’t so widely advertised as a kids/ preteens device. It makes it less appealing to the teenager.
use for the elderly was not mentioned, I have one living by herself, she uses a flip basic phone but this will be useful if she can hang it on her neck and use it in an emergency. This will be a good device to have as back up for the phone.
I am deeply expert on technology for seniors and there is NO WAY the Relay is suitable for seniors. It's deeply confusing. How do you know when it's on? Going flat? Who in their right mind invents a new charging connector? It should be IQ. Does it have HAC?

Though I don't have kids, I think this is a device people I know should at least consider, so I'm glad to be able to be more informed about this new niche product.
From what you said, mom would set it up on her Phone app and she can call from her phone. Can it be set up so both parents can call the devise, or for grandparents to call from their IPhone?
What prevents a stranger from being able to connect to this device or being able to see the GPS on this device?
My only issue with this is that I have a 9 year old son who I know will NOT keep this in his pocket, therefore I can see him losing it. If they had this in a smaller version as a watch, it would be convenient.
