I have only been in for about a week and a half, but I am loving the alpha so far. So many SWG vibes, bringing back those early days of not having a clue how to play the game and fumbling my way through it all.
First, they need to fix the quest stystems, both the boards and npcs. Because the only way to level is to grind. Next, they need to redo the starting zones. There needs to be more handholding because not everyone is coming from the last testing phase. It can be very frustrating for new players.
I have just finally got into the groove of playing this game, I’ve got a few characters around lvl 10-12 but I’m really hoping for some railroading now 😅 I’d love some of these story quests to do with people or larger scale invasion events (wishful thinking).
They could add a 0 at the end of all gathering and crafting xp and it would still be slower than mob grinding. But it would make those avenues so much better. I have about 50 hours on my lvl 10 cleric. 10 is of that grinding and the other 40 is gathering. I dont feel rewarded for gathering outside of earning a tiny bit of gold since i just unlocked the marketplace. Marketplace should unlock at level 5 imo.
1.For starters, better designed quest markers that are more visible and quest that are better at conveying what to do. My friend quit 15 minutes into the game because he didn't know what to do and the various quest types didn't help either.. 2.More fleshed out quests. People are slowly getting annoyed by all of this grinding. 3.Quivers.
@@RandyLahey33 Aesthetic reasons, class identity, looks cool, because every MMO, even really old ones, that have hunter/ranger class has them (even if bows dont use ammo), its an easy thing to add
Iv been following this game for a long time now it seams like but just in the last month really really getting into it and about to pull the trigger on a key and start playing I can't wait and y'all have been awesome with info and filling the nitch until payday before I can get a key lol
MMOs absolutely must have long game grinds. The more MMOs eliminate grinding, the more they compete with instant gratification MOBAs. MMOs are a genre where you need to invest time and energy. Any move away from that has been flawed from the start. Hence the past ten years of the genre being a wasteland.
Ashes is boring. It needs fun. Needs quests, dungeons, a fkn game loop that is fun. The whole point of games is fun. Its currently a small almost empty sandbox that isnt fun, its hollow, more like a sim. Its that simple. Without fun, why should I log on? Some people say "go make your own fun" ok sure, let me close ashes of creation and go have some fun doing something else, nobody wants to play a game, where they have to invent there own fun do to the lack of any in the game.

1 is the reason why Sodapoppin quit, so you might be right.
Why quivers when we don’t have to buy ammo?

The first thing I need fixed is the ability to log in in less than 15 minutes.
This is the worst leveling experience I've ever had to deal with in an MMO. I understand it's an Alpha.
Seems like they need to work on a whole bunch've quality of life features MMO's has had for decades before committing to their unique systems
