Nice scrape on the forearm Chase. Just bought a Shoei VFX-WR helmet for my 23 race season. I tried on all the premium helmets at my local store and the Shoei was by far the most comfortable. I've used a Shoei X-Spirit 3 for road riding and its the best helmet I've owned, excellent comfort and better vision than my previous AGV.
My only issue with dirt bike helmets is the lack of low speed ventilation. You could argue that you're just not going fast enough haha. But in the tight woods on a hot day can be a little frustrating.
Hey Chase, I just got the VFX EVO, but I hate the liner system. I just can’t get the main head liner to stay in place from the front. It keeps popping off. I think I’m going to switch to Fly Formula.
That's really weird. I've tried on the Shoei multiple times and that hasn't been an issue for me. But good choice on the Formula. If I had to pick one helmet that I thought was the most comfortable, it would be that. - Chase
There is no real answer for that question. There is no test that compares those three safety features side by side. You just have to ask your self what makes the most sense and what makes you feel the safest. - Chase
@@SilentAssailant I’m assuming you have this helmet… does it have speaker cut outs for a Sena? I wanna switch to one of these to complete my hooligan supermoto look 😅
999racing I'm curious to hear that answer seeing as the M.E.D.S. is only in the top of the helmet.. M.I.P.S. and 6d technology both also cover the sides of the head too not just the top.. I mean how likely are you to fall directly on top of your head as opposed to falling on your side and hitting the side of your head.. Just my thoughts but I never seen the helmet in person so..
Ur right, seems stupid because if you hit with the top of your head you dont hit at an angle and there is no rotational force... Bell for example has the moving layers also in the sides. For me it sounds like they just wanted to do sth that they can say "hey we handle rotational forces as well"
999racing If one falls on the side there is always play between the helmet and the head. So there are no rotational forces there to attenuate. It’s only meant for when one flies over the bars type of scenarios.

Absolutely love my Shoei VFX-Evo. Best dirtbike helmet i've ever owned

Cameron, check out the new Fox V3, LS2 Subverter or even the Leatt 6.5. Some of the best venting i've seen in off-road helmets.
I wear Bell moto 9 XL
And Fox V3 XL
Should I get the Shoei L or XL?
Get the XL. They should fit the same as your other helmets.

Nice road rash arm shaver
Which is the difference between the EVO and the WR VFXs?
Different names for different markets?
yes
They are different helmets actually. The WR weighs around 1300 gram, while EVO is approx. 200 gram heavier because of DOT and SNELL certification.
handmade state of the art technology???
How safe is meds compared to mips or odd?

Are the M.E.D.S. stickers on the visor removable?
I will find out for you. I didn't check when i had the helmet~Chase
@@rmatvmc For those wondering, yes, they are removable.

Your arm looks just like mine. Road rash😢
yes sir haha. I've taken one too many diggers lately.
What happened to your left arm?
Thereal36 I'm guessing he fell off the bike..
Is it better than mips or the 6d technology?
