Everyone is so butthurt about Akasan not liking Batman v Superman, while I'm just sitting here, enjoying watching him laugh his ass off at this Honest Trailer.
As a DC fan I was dreading this, but Screen Junkies did an awesome job once again and raised some really good points instead of joining a bandwagon so to speak. Don't think I've ever laughed so hard at an honest trailer in a long time.
p.s The Ultimate Edition 4K blu ray comes with a HD Theatrical cut version, as far as I know, the ultimate cut can only be viewed in 4K if you buy that version.
These are a few of the reasons people did not like the movie, there is no "bandwagon". Alot of people were crazy excited for this movie, it didn't even remotely deliver, that's the end of it.

The old Batman movies had a lot of killing as well. It's really only the Nolan trilogy that has this "no killing" rule.

I don't know if it's the same internationally, but the 4K Blu-Rays in America come out packaged with the standard blu-ray and digital copy, but not with a standard DVD or 3D Blu-Ray disc.

Jessie Eisenbergs' Lex is amazing, he's so complex and entertaining (and I admit, a little unsettling) that I can kinda see how people wouldn't get that he's probably the only cinematic villain that got shit done and didn't die (unlike every villain in a certain other universe). Though if you took the character too seriously or not seriously enough then you'll probably hate him, it's kinda like how there are people who find extremely muscular guys badass, while others find the slim calm silent type to be really badass (AKA ,most anime characters), we all have our own way of perceiving things.
Dude, as someone who didnt enjoy the theatrical cut too much, I really liked the Ultimate Edition. There's a massive amount of subplot that makes no sense in the theatrical cut because they cut out a bunch of scenes that tie it all together. My first time watching the Ultimate Edition was full of crazy moments of realisation, it felt so satisfying to watch the movie and actually understand everything.
Long story short, the theatrical cut is a confusing mess, the Ultimate Edition is an above average film that I have no issue rewatching a few times (assuming you have 3 hours spare)
Now imagine how the original 4 hour cur
People give snyder too much crap for this movie. He's not the only person involved in making this film. Personally, I think he's a great visual director, who just needs a great script, screenplay, editor and all that.

The Dark Knight Returns part 2 was way better because of how they made Superman and batman. Their fight was so emotional and it was amazing.

The ultimate edition is even longer so it takes 2 1/2 hours to get to the heavy action at the end of the film. This version flows better as a film and is edited a LOT better but it's still the same movie with most of the same criticisms.

Akasan, what did you think of the final fight? As much as I disliked rhe movie, that last battle had me feeling like I was actually watching the Justice League on the big screen, which I suppose is the best compliment I can give it.
I totally agree with you Akasan. In the Joker interrogation scene, it looks like Jack Sparrow got drunk and was wearing the batsuit. Also, the scene when Batman says "I though she was with you" he looks ridiculous. Though Batfleck in the warehouse was undoubtedly the coolest batman scene I've ever scene in my life (as in dceu movie wise).

I know I might seem weird but I honestly loved theological ideas and conflicting beliefs being fleshed out through most of the movie. I never saw the theatrical but the Ultimate version was freaking amazing in my opinion.

Years...decades ago I saw a fan film where I guy, whom Batman mistook for a criminal and put in jail, got out, captured him. Has him in an abandoned building. He had Batman hanging from a chain much like the dream sequence in BvS. He raped and tortured Batman and then killed himself. Batman died from his wounds...also gave you seen Batman vs Predator vs Aliens? That's another old fan film

Seriously, I'm a massive fan of Akasan. Like, he's one of my favourite youtubers. But for a guy who prides himself on being an "Honest Reactor" he really didn't do a good job on this being "honest."

I love BVS not gonna lie however i acknowledge its weak and bad points but i cannot stand those who blindly hate it and cannot admit some elements of it was good
The problem is, everyones expectations were wayyyyyyyy to high. There were some bad ass parts in the movie but people were expecting sooooo much that it kinda blinded them. Still, its not perfect. I gave it a 6/10. Not the best, not the worst imo. Plus ben was awesome as batman

Watchmen was the best superhero movie imo. Zack Snyder great at directing and his visuals are amazing but he's not a great writer. i mean 300 was the best graphic novel adaptation. I do love BvS and my issue with BvS is their fight scene should've been more intense and longer. i still want Zack Snyder in DCEU.
