Beautiful Tele and playing as always. Love the mods you’ve made to it. I also had to exchange a Vintera II 60’s Tele for a replacement recently due to some production issues.
@@JasonWharton82I had an issue with a high or uneven fret that caused some noticable buzzing when I would fret the third and fourth strings from the first fret to maybe the fourth, but all it took was a little leveling of the frets and it's played like a dream ever since, the isbell tele has always been tied for my favorite tele next to the jimmy page dragon tele, I've had tons of teles, American professional II, 90s USA standards, American specials, MIJ ones and still the isbell and dragon tele have them beat every day of the week
@@JasonWharton82 Agreed. I just found out that Fender made an American Original 1960s Tele, which is damn near exactly what I’m looking for. Unfortunately it was discontinued. The hunt for a used copy begins…
I was wondering about the back of the neck..ok you sanded it. Ihe personalization of the signature model? I kind of like it. It isnt redicously to far with personification at all. The bridge plate is sound (it still folds up along the side all the way to the pickup). It is a bit redicoulous the string spacing flaw at the nut. That nut will just simply need to be replaced. The radius is too much for me ..the Fender Jason Isbell presentation states it as a strat specc thing of sorts. I too though would consider purchasing another guitar of the same. I dont own one i do very much like what i see i intend to buy one New despite the rising price. I think the rising price is a sighn of the times. I have a MIM Cyclone. Not without its faults. (I needed to scootch the neck towasds the bridge so i could intonate the sadles in without runing into the mounting screws. Vintage Strat type bridge thing and those screws the bridge pivots up on...they were in the way of moving thestring saddles...had to remedy this somehow) Other than this MIM?! not bad. Like the Jason Isbell tele it seems you do to. Good vidieo. Good guitar. Yours truley jim
Thanks Jim, I always think that the artists with sig models would probably get a kick out of people taking their guitar and tweaking it even more for themselves.
Yeah bit of a steep price hike right? It wasn’t quite as high of a hike in the UK and it seems to go on sale for less fairly regularly but yeah, that’s a lot to pay for one.
You’re full of it. At no point in the prison this instrument was it ever $999. Hell, the Brad Paisley Telecaster came out in 2017, which was several years before the Isbell Telecaster, and it was $1,125 brand new(I still have my receipt and bought the week it was introduced). The Jason Isbell Telecaster is now and always has been more expensive than the Brad Paisley Telecaster.
Beautiful playing man! Just bought this model a few days ago and waiting for it to come in. I appreciate your review!
Thank you! Hope you like it!
I'm not into relic, or 7-1/4", but besides those things, it's a nice looking Tele.

Thank you! I think this was more that it had got damaged on the shop floor tbh, the rest of the guitar was great!
Havnt watched the vidieo.Just discoverd the guitar (Fender presentation) i do like what i see. Like it lots
Great video. Many seem to have issues with the fret work.
Thank you! Fret work was fine on mine.

hi dude, what an awesome record collection! Should do a vid on that beast!
I started doing a few and they absolutely tanked 😂, thinking about doing it on a second channel!

I really want one of those but at $2500 here in Australia, the rice is ridiculous!
Wait, it comes with rice in Australia? Must be a down under exclusive.
This is by far my favorite looking Tele. My only gripe is the 7.5 radius neck. Maybe Warmoth to the rescue with a 9.5 or even a 12 radius neck?
I think if the radius was that much of an issue that you would want to swap the neck I’d be looking for something else.

Yeah the American original is cool, if you can track down a used one they are well worth the money!
Don’t stress about the 7.25 rad neck it’s fine and plays well.
Why your neck is sanded with hard edges ? Mine looks quite natural and or did you do it yourself ?
Great vid gent
Thanks mate!
This guitar is about $2300 CAD 😮
Current US price is $1,649 and comes with a gig bag... Its not even USA made for that price. Nice guitar though.
It’s a tough sell with the price increases for sure, it was a decent price in the UK when it first came out but much harder to justify now.
It’s like 2400 in Canada , if you had to re sell it here you would not get 1200 .. mim don’t hold value no matter how good it is
Yep, $2500 here in Australia. I can’t believe anyone would pay that!
if you change out the backplate, I will gladly buy that one off of you. Hit me up!

Too much money for a MIM tele' I did buy used one and ended up getting rid of it' my 50's Baja tele is the best MIM tele I've ever owned/played.
It’s a pricy one for sure!
It has all those things you don’t like because it’s a signature model. That’s how Jason specs it!
👏👏👏 🙄
was 999…now is 1649….

Man that string spacing is baaad
Yeah it’s not great, need to get it sorted at some point.
My original Road worn Tele is much better guitar 🎸
Ok 👍
