Well the idea behind krav Maga is purely self defense. Chances are if someone is attacking you on the street, they dont have any sort of training. The chances you are going to get into a fight with a highly trained fighter is slim to none. Krav is ultimately the mma of self defense. It assumes an uncontrolled environment where someone could have a weapon, multiple attackers and various ground conditions. For example a krav maga instructor would generally advise against a spin kick simply due to varying ground conditions or clothing that restricts mobilty being things that could make it ineffective
My Krav Maga instructor actually told us that the best way to win is to defuse and get out safely. Failing that, you're going to get hurt, and you need to hurt the other person worse. Krav is essentially coordinated dirty fighting.

Ot literally anything else. There are bo matches in krav maga and no rules.
Krav maga is about offering easy to remember, duct-tape solutions for soldiers who don't have the time to be trained as hand to hand specialist. There are a billion other skills that soldiers need much more, and time spent turning them into elite hand ot hand fighters is time better spent on other things. The meme that military fighting systems are somehow better is honestly, pretty stupid. And it's born out of this "military = badass" meme. Krav maga is like duct tape. It offers some quick, hyper aggressive techniques and drills for soldiers to use in a pinch. In that context, krav maga is really effective. It is not a substitute for, more dangerous than, or more effective than actual, dedicated hand to hand training with a rounded curriculum. And people who don't know anything about fighting need to stop pretending that it is.
KM is about protecting yourself from regular knackers, I've never met a BJJ or a MMA fighter going around threatening people. These are different situational techniques.

If eye poke is allowed bjj is done
You don’t think guys that do BJJ know how to eye gouge?
@@DivestInnocence if they are trying eye gauge they won't be trying the bjj
If the attacker is a bjj guy
Strike their vital parts
When you get caught poke their eyes out or bite what you can
Or put your finger in their nose and strip it off their face or pull their ear off
Or crush their testicles
If you have a weapon then it's easier
@@fatyoutubepanda let's just ignore that you can fight to through the eye gouge, and also that you wouldn't be able to get close enough with your hand to do so in the first place with a competent practitioner. I see what you mean though
Bruce lee said it's not the art it's the fighter.
Problem with UFC style MMA/BBJ++ is outside the ring, the only rule is survival.
Krav Maga would never beat BJJ in a cage. Why? Cuz the cage has rules. Take the rules out of the equation, make it life or death, Krav Maga wins every time. Krav Maga isn't a fighting style. It's a self defense technique. Warriors know the difference.
I trained in Krav Maga and it’s not that weak Joe… dude… Krav Maga is very smart and it delivers as promised
I'm always confused why Ramsey Dewey endlessly doubts Krav Maga. Doesn't it use parts of JiuJitsu and Judo? There are some McDojos out there claiming to be Krav Maga. I just can't believe the Israeli Army would invest in a useless Martial Art.
Krav maga is about fighting actual real life threats. Some guy comes at you with a knife/gun that sort of thing.
It also takes freely from any martial arts. We had guys who trained mma and juijutsi training krav maga with us.
In krav maga you learn about situational awarness, how to run away, how to use improvised tools etc.
If a jujitsu guy throws you to the ground and you cant win there, an appropriate krav maga "technique" could be to get a rock from the ground and smash his head.
KM won't stand against a BJJ or MMA but then again what's your usual threat on the street.. Slice the MF with anything you've got. KM is not training to compete..
@@evil001987 Krav has the same problem Aikido has.
They have all these techniques and situations they drill. But they've never actually done it.
Like, Krav guys aren't bashing dudes heads with rocks while being strangled or joint locked to the point of breakage.
I mean sure, the idea is there. "Okay, he takes me down, and I'll get the rock like I did in practice and oh shit where's the rock? Wait wha-" annnd strangled.
Just like Aikido guys have all these wrist breaks and arm snaps, and they flip you and smash your spine and tear out your soul and the whole nine yards.
And they've never done any of it.
That's why a wrestler is dangerous. Cuz he's taken guys down a million times.
I don't know how many times I've been told "If you tried to choke me, or got me in a choke hold, I'd rip your eye out."
OKay, how many eyes have you ripped out? While being choked at that?
Zero?
Then how the fuck do you know you can even pull that off? Before you go out?
What if a guy takes you down in a mall, and you reach for the rock...and there are no rocks and oh fuck he just broke your arm?
Say whatever you want about the Big 4 grappling arts, but they know what they can do, because they've done it.
@MaxxCoyote I got jumped by three guys last November. I ran because I was outnumbered, which is something you train to keep as an option in krav. After 20 meters, I grabbed a rock, turned around, and smashed it into the guy closest to me. By that point, the other two were farther away.
I went down, but not unconscious. His buddies stopped to help him. I got away unhurt.
Fancy fighting? Not at all. But all of it was stuff trained for in krav.
Technically an MMA fighter shouldn’t get that close to someone trained to kill to put him in an arm lock
Ninpo is still above all for dirty fighting and killings.
@@rtxmax8223 mostly just effective at running away and assassination. They werent big on combat and nost shinobi were just spies or couriers delivering intel. They were know match for samurai even in 1v1
@@bitchface235 the thing is, Most shinobi WERE Samurai.
@@IAteYourSandwich actually this is false. We don't know how many Shinobi were samurai. But Shinobi were pulled from both ASHIGARU AND SAMURAI. Which were two different classes
@@bitchface235 I was referring to your comment of most shinobi standing no chance vs a samurai. Considering samurai is a social class and not a job, that is entirely dependent on if the shinobi is also a samurai, and what job said samurai has.
Ashigaru were basically conscripted footsoldiers and were forbidden from having another job. So IDK if they could be shinobi. There very likely were shinobi posing as ashigaru, as they would have needed ears everywhere. However, if you want to be technical 🤓 ashigaru were also known as “samurai of the land” so even if they did become shinobi, they would also be samurai. 🤓
But eh, I know more about medieval europe.
