      This was the first time I believed a fighter like Batman could exist,I always thought in the comics with as cool as he is there’s no real human being who could be a such a ridiculously effective hand to hand combatant. It seemed just beyond the realm of possibility. This guy is so skilled that if I didn’t see it with my own eyes I wouldn’t believe it could be done. He’s not even a big guy either but he’s extremely dangerous with his bare hands and an absolute nightmare for an attacker. If he was attacked with someone using a 🔫 the attacker would be in more danger because of said 🔫 . At least if the assailant was unarmed he’d have a chance of walking away with his life. But to your point this guy needs to be the stuntman in the fight scenes of the next Batman movie😂

      Fight dirty especially if you are out numbered. I know the stuntmen are moving slower than normal, but that's done done for demonstration purposes and understood! It's just these demonstrations don't show the actual brutality and desperation of fighting for your life and the life of others, but it's still a great exhibition. You can also learn 8 to 10 techniques quickly and practice them until you are blue in the face. Then you can add 3 or more. keep adding more techniques as you progress.

      @@stallio5612 That's the usual propaganda brainwashed cultists like to use, but that's not at all reality when it comes to fighting or how KM actually performs under real situations. The mere notion that you can only kill someone and not simply immobilize them or render them unconscious or somehow unable to fight is fucking ridiculous.

    I've seen Krav Maga applied in a street fight. It's very effective if you can control your anxiety and you're well trained like I saw with dude in Brooklyn. What surprised me, was his opponent was bigger and taller, yet he broke him down in 6 moves because big boy got to close. He left him there in the ground face flat, took his girls hand and said quietly, "Come on, I gotta go pick up my mother." 😆 🤣 😂 True story.

      I tried to utilize Krav Maga when my friend and I wanted to fight, he was choking me from behind and I tried to escape by thrusting my hips backwards and plucking his arm and it didn't work. It was intense and I couldn't control myself, perhaps I just need to do it better and that's why it didn't work. I can't be for sure, but Krav Maga is controversial and people say it doesn't work; it's somewhat like Kung Fu.

    What I always find funny is the folks who will tell you one form of martial art is better than the other, or this guy could kick this guys ass if it were in this situation. And I am sure that I will be told how stupid I am, and I could care less. This is coming from someone who has trained in multiple forms, and I will tell you each one that I have trained in has its purpose and is functional in its own right. Krav, however, was not designed to pit fighters in a ring, it was designed for a military and police force that literally have to fight for survival or have a high potential to fight for survival on a daily basis. Keeping that in mind, Krav does not focus on "legal" techniques, and what you can and cannot do on the fight, because the bad guy is not going to play with any set of rules.
    So, if you are looking for something to just defend yourself with, then I would totally recommend Krav, and one of the main reasons why, is Krav unlike BJJ, or Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and some of the other traditional arts, do not answer a multiple attacker scenario very well, and Krav does a decent job at that. Further, with Krav, is one of the theories as to why there are not tournaments is because the minute rules are applied, the art form loses its effectiveness, and to those of you who do not understand and just blast somebody because you can, is that Krav does answer defending yourself on the ground. Remember, Krav is not an attack first type of system, it is designed as a self-defense form. And with that, yes, a person who steps into the ring that is solely a Krav fighter, will more than likely lose, because he/she does not have the ability to use every technique that they can, and are limited by their rules. I am not saying Krav is an end-all-be-all form, I am merely helping those who don't understand what Krav is about. If you want to learn how to put someone in a guillotine, or triangle choke, go learn BJJ it's awesome, and fun. And a huge competitive aspect (and I am not even talking MMA). If you want to learn how to knock someone out with a knee or a fist, go learn any of the other stand-up forms. And I am not saying either that those systems will not help in a self-defense type situation, I am saying that Krav was designed for self-defense. And there is a completely different mindset in Krav compared to BJJ or Muay Thai or any of the other popular forms that you see in UFC, or Bellator or anywhere else.

      Agree with everything except for the original purpose design of self defense or not an attack first style. Its original purpose was a military attack first system to take out any hostile as quickly and efficiently as possible. It was than revamp for law enforcement and for civilian for self defense due to its effectiveness. In the original purpose it teach soldiers to become assassins, using anything to achieve their goals. Thats krav maga. Other country have similar style system too. The effectiveness of the art still relied on the user like any other art.

    Had a gun pulled on me once when I did security. Actually two guns. I was abducted at that time. Guess who did not try to disarm them? Yeah, me. Guess who's still alive without bullet holes 16 years later. Yeah, me again. Krav is effective in many situations, but disarming a loaded gun is a huge long shot. And more than 50% of the time you will be shot in these attempts. They should also teach how to best escape without fighting. Because that a surprisingly effective self defence tactic. I've had to fight more than once. And most of the time I've had some form of injury. But when you know you're beat, and you have the chance to leg it out of there, it's a viable option that should be taught in all realistic self defence courses. I'm not saying not to teach fighting, but to also add the option of an effective escape.

      If you can perform those techniques you are Blessed! I have a long road to travel, but like Bruce Lee when he got hurt, he had a made up mind to become better than he was B4 he got hurt! I have that Mission, improvment is a choice, not a Privilege!

    • @nomad1517
      @nomad1517 4 года назад +23

      They actually tell you in the training that the only time to ever use those techniques is when there is no other option, like you are literally going to die if you don't do anything, they always tell you if you have a gun pointed towards you always give the person what they want, there is no material item worth more than your life, the moves used in Krav Maga were designed for warfare, life or death situations, but in reality no soldier is going to fight hand to hand unless he is taken buy surprise or he some how drops his weapon, soldiers are almost always in teams, you're most likely going to use control techniques like wrist locks and judo type moves when in a security situation like arresting a suspect or whatever types of non lethal situations, but krav maga was generally designed for war, where soldiers had to be deployed within a month or a week i think, and they do teach you kidnapping survival techniques. Krav Maga global and Krav Maga world wide are the go to's for krav maga becuase their teachers worked with imi lichtenfeld and have trained SWAT and IDF soldiers and even some of our special forces units as well, I know the head teacher of krav maga world wide is in a swat unit for cop killer cases, and uses these techniques all the time. But yeah, its not bullshit, and you are totally right, gun disarming techniques are usually used as a worst case scenario or used buy soldiers who have years upon years of experience, so its not a good idea for newbies.

    • @nomad1517
      @nomad1517 4 года назад +1

      @@timothybright7064 Yeah, they tell you that too, they teach you about situational awareness and how to avoid getting into a fight in the first place, a lot of so called "Krav Maga" facilaties tell you they are the best and they are the official place to train and they will teach you how to take people out and kick their ass, blah blah blah, we all know those idiots. But there are only a very few that are legit, the ones that are, usually teach our military and other military's, or they have connections with police and swat units, and they usually all worked with the founder Imi lichetenfeld, those are the real guys, the only two places that I think are the best are, Krav Maga World Wide and Krav Maga Global. Both owners are police and military based. But yeah, they tell you that, to run, that is the best thing to do, but if you have no other choice, then the techniques can come in handy, only for a life or death type of thing.

It might be planned out at the demo, that's why it's called a demo, but all of those skills go forward to times that you will need them. If you practice enough, there's nothing you can't do. People of his caliber and character don't attack people for no good reason. In battle, I'd like him by my side. As for this mixed martial arts demo, I think it's superb. From my perspective, these tests quickly turn extremely offensive rather than defensive which is exactly correct and the way it should be. I'm an old former ex-marshall arts practitioner of five different styles and appreciate the amazing effort put into this test. CravMaga is great. Well done.

      I can agree with that...I just have 1 questions: what is the point of weapons? Is it not extension of attack (ie range). A lot of this is well katas...the idea that gun attacker is going to walk up and allow you proximity is niave. Fine if he does...but the least amount of gun training eliminates most of these katas. • @Swartking
      @Swartking 7 лет назад +1

      ratonL Krav Maga has adapted the judo grading system with three categories: Practitioner, Graduate, Expert. Each of the categories, which are often abbreviated to their initials, has 5 ranks. Each rank or two is usually associated with a belt. Grades P1 through to P5 (White, Yellow, Orange, Green belts) are the student levels and make up the majority of the Krav Maga community. After P5 are G1-G5 (Green, Blue, Brown belts), and in order to achieve Graduate level the student has to demonstrate a proficiency in all of the P level techniques before advancing. The majority of instructors hold a G level grade and are civilian instructors. One usually achieves a black belt once they've reached E1 although it's common to find Krav Maga practitioners to have Black Belts with a G5 ranking as the administration of achieving E1 is a nightmare. At the end of the day though, its not about belts. Its about how well you can execute your techiques in real life situations under duress in order to protect yourself.

    The most effective and practical martial art in existence today! you will be shocked when you realize how little you really know when you walk into a Krav Maga training class. No pretty drills, forms, katas, or other time wasters. Only things that have been demonstrated to work in specific and actual combat applications!

    • @k9aid514
      @k9aid514 5 лет назад

      I understand this is how they are selling it but come on actual combat so many times it became a self defence. No one in the world in any army is fighting this much hand to hand in specific and actual combat

      No real full contact fighting under pressure in tournments in front of everybody, no real hard fist strikes or kicks to the head, no hard sparring and no real ground game randori in Krav Maga classes most of the time too, you simply forgot to mention that too.

    • @RowdyGrunt

      Good post, but not at all true my friend. Your post has a fundamental flaw. KM is not a martial art; it is a system. I've trained for 37 years; and the only other time I've seen irrational dogmatic hive mind about a system of defense, was the Ninjutsu craze of the 80's.
      Not saying KM is not, and cannot be effective; something is better than nothing. So in that sense, most people do not understand the difference between a combat system and a martial art. It's a nuance, but a huge difference. KM was created for the military, where fighting can be a bit like a flow chart, because you have a full range of force multipliers, from a full unit, or platoon, or squad, or a team, down through sticks, blades, guns and hands. It is wrote insofar that you approach it in a sense of using scenario's to learn moves.
      In a martial art, it is give and take, free form, using instincts and no wrote systemic movements. I started training in 1981, trained and was a trainer during my time in the Army (Infantry type, one each), and many years of doing martial arts. I had a school, and some KM business types wanted me to buy into KM, come into KM "instructor training", and then re-brand my school as a KM school. I was curious, I took the instructors course, and it was laughable. No full speed rolling, striking, and I've never been to a KM school that does.
      And finally: As an Army Infantry vet, with a few combat tours, I can tell you that there is a HUGE difference between "combat applications" and self defense/street situations. HUGE difference.
      The guy in the video is obviously good at what he's doing. But amazing, and a "Bruce Lee" type figure, he is not even close. He's doing no more than swatting at dudes in a scenario, not responding as it would be done in a real fight, but standing and getting punked, and thrown. Don't believe me, go to an open mat at an MMA school. It's friendly, and a lot of fun; even if you're coming into to test your stuff.
      Perhaps the biggest misconception and myth is the meme: "I/we don't spar full speed because our stuff is too deadly". That's an absolute myth and joke. At that open mat, talk with a sparring partner, pick one, anyone, let em know you want to play by prison rules (IE, the deadly stuff), and you will get all that you can handle. If you think that the "too deadly" stuff works, you owe it to yourself to go to an open mat and test it. Otherwise, you're going to get hurt. The "to deadly" stuff is a paper tiger that'll get you hurt.

      @Łukasz Kolasiński Still, it's not fighting. Sparring is a very good exercise, but it's not fighting. Doing 65 rounds of sparring is quite demanding cardio-wise and to stay focussed for so long even with light sparring. But just call it what it is.
