I have so much admiration for Mikel as a Nigerian and ex-captain of the national team. All ex-players, unlike Mikel, are busy colluding with the NFF officials to seek favour and huzzle for their daily bread, thereby helping the body to further destroy the fabrics of the national team. Shola ameobi took too long to say yes to Nigeria. When he finally did, how long did he play for us . Now if you sir happened to be based abroad, married to a foreign woman with whom you have children.this children have access to social grants and welfare, will you force them to align with Nigeria? While Nigeria may be where you were born, the kids will be different. When they see and hear different narratives about your nation and my nation which we love, it would be a self developed and harnessed love for Nigeria to make them choose Nigeria over their country of birth. Besides don't also forget that our country doesn't always rewards hardwork and objectivity as well as fairness are almost dead. You and I know that if players like musiala were born in Nigeria, it would have been more difficult for them in the world of football.
