Thrash metal runs through my veins. I love everything about it and it will always be very present here in this channel.
For this video I created these riffs based on some of my favorite bands of the genre. It was extremely fun to do.
It was also a bit challenging playing this fast right after recovering from being sick and barely touching the guitar for a whole week. But I'm all better now and I'll be back soon with more 🤘

Fantastic vid as always. I love both Old School and the Newer stuff when it comes to Thrash. Old School seems to be more blunt and to the point while the New Wave bands are more technical (I mean that as a positive to both). Also that second riff you did for the New Wave of Thrash was brilliant. It was like Maiden meets Megadeth :)
Listening to this makes clear that my thrash riffs are influenced by both old school and new wave

Honestly, I have to say, even some of the "newer riffs" seemed as if they could of been something an older Thrash band could have played.
Still a very cool video either way.

I can figure out new thrash is more technical, but still fast, thrashy (DUH) and groovy AF! I like pretty much both styles (I'm always on the search for new thrash bands or better, new old school thrash ones), it's mainly most of the stale, quantised productions I can't stand these days: I love the old, reverb-filled recordings and would like to see more of that also today.

This is awesome man I love it. I really want to form a neo classical thrash band but it’s difficult to find people who even have the same idea on that haha.I’ve both genres and making music with a mix of both would be killer!

Being an old school Thrash guy and literally not knowing what NWOSTM stands for, I'm assuming it means "New Wave Of Something Thrash Metal" kinda like NWOBM (I've actually Never heard of it called that) or "New Wave of British Metal" from back in the late 70's.
Excellent guitar work brother 🤘 I'm a thrash guitarist too, I love old school and the new stuff, I believe metal has evolved over the years, it's more technical, but still has the same roots, great riffing brother 🤘 Rock on 🤘 metal for life 🤘

Apart from havok I'm not a fan of new school thrash it's too goofy and very silly it's like the 80s ninja turtles cartoon in music form very cowabunga pizza time dude while old school thrash seems very evil and heavy and raw
You should give bands like Power Trip, Evile, and Nervosa a chance. All are pure heavy, fast, and raw! 🤘
@Garrett totally agree, guys like Nocturnal, Hellripper, and early Toxic Holocaust come to mind if you want that dirty low production style of thrash that is reminiscent of the 80s.
This is my favorite video you've put out although there were many close calls! Cheers man! But I was wondering if you could do a melodic metal video of different styles, melodic thrash/death( At the Gates and pretty much anything Tomas Lindbergh touched) black like Sigh from Japan (criminally underrated band) street/punk (Municipal Waste, The Locust, etc. I'm just curious how you would make a melodic Metal vid.

that last solos reminded me of some of the newer death solos with bobby. ruclips.net/video/eVfxKO4edNI/видео.html I personally appreciate the speed of these new bands but nothing has really grabbed me like the old thrash or even death metal. Also downward picking will make a song sound slower but i always find it harder to play fast especially over long periods like master of puppets.

with new wave thrash I only think of vektor, Havok and maybe HeXen if they return after 10 yeras of hiatus. But they became more proggy later on I guess.

2nd New Thrash Riff is like Maiden, Death, Dream Theater, Helloween and Megadeth combined with some Motley Crue, Slayer and Bleach-era Nirvana influence and a hint of Black Sabbath, AIC, Glam era + CH-era Pantera, all thrown together in one, ultra-powerful riff. Bravo!
