@@gabrielnilsson7955 his band is called "lux". they released one of their songs on this channel a few months ago its called "burn the priest insted" :)
Fantastic vid as always. I love both Old School and the Newer stuff when it comes to Thrash. Old School seems to be more blunt and to the point while the New Wave bands are more technical (I mean that as a positive to both). Also that second riff you did for the New Wave of Thrash was brilliant. It was like Maiden meets Megadeth :)
I was enjoying this vid so much I didn't even notice the captions saying what type of thrash he's playing until almost 3 minutes in. Fucking LOVE it ALL.
As a new subscriber and an old school Metalhead, where the hell where you in the late 80's and early 90's! LOL Your talent precedes you, my friend. Excellent ear soothing riffs. WELL DONE!
Excellent guitar work brother 🤘 I'm a thrash guitarist too, I love old school and the new stuff, I believe metal has evolved over the years, it's more technical, but still has the same roots, great riffing brother 🤘 Rock on 🤘 metal for life 🤘
Hi Leonardo! I just discovered your channel about a week ago and you are amazing! You're guitar playing is phenomenal and I'm amazed by the endurance you have in your picking hand! The riffs you come up with are perfect for all of Thrash, Death, and Black Metal! You're awesome!🤘🤘
Hell yes man! Nice riffs and the whole video could totally work as a complete song, with some adjustments. 😊 I can figure out new thrash is more technical, but still fast, thrashy (DUH) and groovy AF! I like pretty much both styles (I'm always on the search for new thrash bands or better, new old school thrash ones), it's mainly most of the stale, quantised productions I can't stand these days: I love the old, reverb-filled recordings and would like to see more of that also today.
Yo my old friend, Check out Poison the Preacher from Columbia... also Bad Taste in New Zealand... also Deraign from Australia hilarious movie touring Indonesia!
Honestly, I have to say, even some of the "newer riffs" seemed as if they could of been something an older Thrash band could have played. Still a very cool video either way.
This is awesome man I love it. I really want to form a neo classical thrash band but it’s difficult to find people who even have the same idea on that haha.I’ve both genres and making music with a mix of both would be killer!
2nd New Thrash Riff is like Maiden, Death, Dream Theater, Helloween and Megadeth combined with some Motley Crue, Slayer and Bleach-era Nirvana influence and a hint of Black Sabbath, AIC, Glam era + CH-era Pantera, all thrown together in one, ultra-powerful riff. Bravo!
Dude, you've got some serious talent. I hope that you get in a band that gets huge. Btw, that 2nd old school riff had Metallica written all over it and I love it.
that last solos reminded me of some of the newer death solos with bobby. ruclips.net/video/eVfxKO4edNI/видео.html I personally appreciate the speed of these new bands but nothing has really grabbed me like the old thrash or even death metal. Also downward picking will make a song sound slower but i always find it harder to play fast especially over long periods like master of puppets.
This is my favorite video you've put out although there were many close calls! Cheers man! But I was wondering if you could do a melodic metal video of different styles, melodic thrash/death( At the Gates and pretty much anything Tomas Lindbergh touched) black like Sigh from Japan (criminally underrated band) street/punk (Municipal Waste, The Locust, etc. I'm just curious how you would make a melodic Metal vid. Love your channel, Tim "The Fresh Prince of Darkness" Ficker
Leonardo vc é um montro na guitarra parabéns eu não toco guitarra mas sou fascinado por guitarras e admiro muito quem domina esse instrumento um abraço amigo
Being an old school Thrash guy and literally not knowing what NWOSTM stands for, I'm assuming it means "New Wave Of Something Thrash Metal" kinda like NWOBM (I've actually Never heard of it called that) or "New Wave of British Metal" from back in the late 70's.
with new wave thrash I only think of vektor, Havok and maybe HeXen if they return after 10 yeras of hiatus. But they became more proggy later on I guess.
Dude I could listen to you all day but my favorite one was 4 and rest from very good and ok from there 6,5, 3 , 2 , 8 , 7 , 1 . Just my opinion but I’m old school and love the new stuff too depends who the band is , but 4 who played that ? You F’n ROCK JS !!
There is no difference. Throughout the nineties, we were waiting for a fast thrash metal to emerge, adopting modern technology in raw drums and bass, especially in accelerating the rhythm to the maximum.
Why aren't you in a big band?! Insanely good!! ❤️
Actually he is
@@edmundo_bj Really? What bamd? Their band name if you can?

@@warcriminalinalbania Thank you! I will check it out right away🙂👍
He's in a band
Listening to this makes clear that my thrash riffs are influenced by both old school and new wave
Dude these riffs are sick
He is just amazing 🤩
Very cool riffs in both old school and new wave!
That string isolation is on point picking hand is so smooth!
Your channel and metallic ability is absolutely badass Leo.

maaan...i'm so excited and blessed to hear and see guitar player on YT without solar guitar these days ya know....
The Old School Solo definitely gave me Kirk Hammet vibes if he were playing with a band like Exodus
Considering he created exodus did sound like that era
@@basscovers9275 I didnt even realize that until I saw your comment Exodus is one of my good friends favorite bands too
@@devonboes2376 yeah he created the band and said it was a better fit in Metallica and passed it down to Gary holt
Grew up in the neighborhood Kreator was founded in, some of these take me back a long while.
All the thrash guitar riffs you've just played are fuckin' awesome!! EXCELLENT! 👍👍🤘🤘👊👊
this video is exactly what I wanted after megadeth's single release
Eres un excelente guitarrista Leo👏 Admiro mucho tu trabajo, saludos desde México 🇮🇹 🤟😉
I love thrash, especially the new wave stuff. You got some great riffs, man! Love to hear more of that in thrash!
THAT is what tens of thousands of hours practice leads to.
The last part of the new wave solo reminded me of Warbringer!
I was enjoying this vid so much I didn't even notice the captions saying what type of thrash he's playing until almost 3 minutes in. Fucking LOVE it ALL.
Heard a little Iced Earth in that old school thrash, I think. Great stuff!

Great video by the way

Man, if you lived next door to me, I'd be knocking with a bass in one hand and a microphone in the other, asking if you have a drummer.
I'm a drummer and i'm with you guys!
