Love this man so much, brilliant welshman, truly one of the best British songwriters, an a humble accomplice to the god that is Eric clapton, love you andy.. and RIP to your dear wife.. we love you
this existential song tells of a path so many of us take at one time or another. no matter how old he gets, he nails the song. brilliant. so underrated by the public but not by other musician.
Wow, I just listened to this, and was enthralled. I do know it from the 70s, but what a performance, still with the same message. Thanks again to Andy. I'll listen to you any day. Amen Corner onwards. Thank you so much. You're also a great humorous individual, which just completes the description. XX
Why do so many musicians do themselves down, comparing themselves to other players. What's important is does it work? Does it excite? Does it delight?Do you have your own style? Does it stand the test of time? Of course the answer to all these questions is yes and that is why Andy Fairweather low is superb we know that and we don't need to compare you to other people who have a different self skills!
I have a photograph of me taken with you in Darwen and one with Tommy Emmanuel taken in Australia and yes what a player but AFL what a song writer and I love your guitar work. See you and the Low Riders at a gig again soon.
Pretty obvious that the song is about being drunk and regretting it afterwards, hence the parts about, I've gone and done it again... this room is full of my shame.
You don't get work with Clapton if you can't play. But he sure has changed, he looks like a banker now.. Trouble is he's lost his hair so he can't grow it out

@@joe22589 I think you missed his point. His comment agrees with you entirely.
an absolutely sublime, timeless song by a bit of a self deprecating genius!!!!!

No. Crap. Have you seen this guy live? I have. He is Brill. Fact. Period.
disagree...song requires that laid back lazy drawling delivery
Is he drunk, well he's wide eyed and legless so I guess he is.
