The best thing to do is do whatever you love, work on yourself and your hobbies and eventually you'll end up meeting someone because following your own passions leads you to people who share or appreciate those things
That's how I met my wife. I wasn't actively looking for a relationship, neither were they. I was just heavily in getting better at my writing and met them through a contest. We both liked each others work, got to talking often, and eventually they decided to ask me out
And that was before we even knew what each other looked like.
Now we've been together for years.
So yeah, I fully believe that it's better to invest in yourself and pursue yourself, and love will come naturally.
Also, I fully disagree with your assessment on people needing to find what makes them stand out for other people.
Living your life to make yourself more interesting so OTHER people will take interest in you is no way to live.
If you have a good personality and values, sure, so do a lot of other people, but keep to them and you'll find the person who likes you specifically.
Cause saying "You have a good personality" is often far too much of an over generalization.
Having a personality means you already have a sense of individuality
And thus, there will be plenty of people out there who really do appreciate YOU as an individual.
It's a self imposed limit to say you HAVE to make sure you have something interesting about you so that people will date you.

And it can be good to stop trying to look. There are extremes to both sides. You try too hard, you might overthink the people you're looking at, and if you try too little, you might not see any of the signs at all. It's all about a balance, and imo, if the only thing someone is thinking about is trying to find that certain person, they're probably overthinking it.

Unfortunately this is a common attitude with many western woman. Sadly it's far less than 20% here in the U.S. With a starting point of just 100k a year man who is in his 20s single and non obese of any height it is less than 2.7%. If you factor in looks and height you may as well be looking for a unicorn.

Problem is that persons who looking for 9-10 partner almost always aren't 9-10 themselves, but delusional that 9-10 person for some reason will choose them. In best case they will be used as few night toy (which, as you said, will led to nothing good).

There's no such thing as a "equal relationship," somebody is _always_ going to be wearing the pants. End of the day it's more about trust then anything. Can someone explain more in the details of this whole thing of influencers/content creators can’t date fans?
There's two thoughts. The first thought is, the other fan has fallen for a persona, not the person. While streamers may give parts of themselves to their audience and even truths of themselves, at the end of the day, it's just a peak behind the curtain. Who they fell in love with is not actually who they really are. Meanwhile, with the second thought, the streamer, starts at literally not knowing anything about the fan. At zero. They are a stranger pretty much. And since this stranger "loves" them so much, if this streamer was a bad person, this streamer could essentially take advantage of this relationship and move it was faster than an average relationship would if you're catching my drift here. And in the end the streamer may never reach the same level of feeling as the fan, and/or the fan will become disillusioned with the streamer as they get to know the real them and find they just liked the persona all along. This is a cynical point of view. But some of the worst bits of it have happened over and over again
Real talk though, the dating pool for most of us is very low regardless of our position in life because we all have to many wants for a person.

The only complication here is mental gymnastics trying to put men on top of this pecking order that comes entirely from the commodification of men. Mate there are plenty of stories of viewers or fans hooking up with the ones they admire and even marrying them while turning out great and there are also plenty of stories where it is not so great. Basically it is "how much risk do you want?" so if you date a viewer you have to be safe about it as a relationship is a give and take not a take and give, but you are not required to give 100% all the time or even most of the time as that's unrealistic and will drive each other apart
