3:12 "Don't you know the kingdom's under siege and everybody needs you." Brandon's voice cracks just a bit, it makes me cry. I lost my dad at 24; we always thought my ma was the one that held us together but it wasn't - it was my dad. We were the type of family that just liked hanging out at the house, even as teens and in our 20's. I have two brothers; one is nine years old, the other is three years older and my sister is seven years older. Our friends would come over too. On top of that, my dad INSISTED on inviting our extended family over for holidays and just to check-in - usually 30-40 relatives. None of that has happened since his funeral - almost 13yrs ago.
Just throwing this out there: a full collaboration album with both bands would be one of the greatest things in Rock history... but we'll take this for the moment
The Killers are the only current band that is underrated, it should even outperform many current bands that went generic like Coldplay. The Killers is a relic in modern times, unfortunately they make music for the love of art, it is not seen that they do it for money, beyond obvious earnings, for me one of the best bands today.

Sweet holy hand grenade, that’s the collaboration I never knew I needed to hear. Now I have it’s clear I’ve been waiting my entire life to hear something so majestic. Hairs on the back of my neck stood up and tingled as I listened. Sublime hardly covers it.
When this song first came out I was always trying to play it with Springsteen's voice in my mind, even imitating it when there weren't people in the house. This is a dream come true.
Imploding the mirage was such a beautiful album, an epic. This is the natural progression stemming all the way back from When You Were Young. I am in tears listening to this again and again. Springsteen’s voice and music has always been uniquely American and powerful. Very similar story for me too, been so lucky to see them both live.. Grew up with Bruce's music as a child and then i discovered the killers in their early days and in my youth . My 2 favs, excellant heart felt energetic version. Dreams do come true.
This song just completely blew me away, doesnt happen often nowadays.
As somebody said they perform the hell out of this song.
Every line in this song is sang from the heart, two performers at the top of their song.
God bless that we have been blessed with this beautiful song.
The boss and the killers once in a lifetime collaboration. Goosebumps
Marion,
I have no need to submit my opinion. You have done it for me.
How emotional!
Bruce is my God, the Killers are my angels ! Now they are singing together one of my favorite songs - This must be heaven !!!
You know life is good when the Boss sings your material.
This is epic
KILLERS IS HIGHLY UNDERRATED, Man . This band stirs emotions like nobody🔥
How can you call one of the most popular alternative rock acts of 21st century underrated? I guess people don't know what underrated means
@@iab8066 The Killers don't really get talked about a lot because rock isn't as prevalent in pop culture as it used to be. If you grew up when rock music was massive and rock stars were always in the news and being talked about it can feel like The Killers are massively underrated.
Underrated by Americans is the way to say it . Most Americans have never even heard of the Killers .
Yes I agree . I’m wondering if Bruce did this to give a little boost during the pandemic
I was thinking the same they arnt underrated u fool 😵😵
I love how serious they both are, you can tell how they are pouring their emotion into it.
The beauty is not only in the sound of their voices together, to me is in the truth of emotions that only good people can spread. Love them!
I love The Killers so much.
Two amazing story tellers. Which is rare in Todays music.
"Castles in the sky sit stranded, vandalized..". That lyric felt like a punch in the gut.
One of my favorite lyrics
Just throwing this out there: a full collaboration album with both bands would be one of the greatest things in Rock history... but we'll take this for the moment
Indeed.
Yassss!! We need more!! At least do Sam's Town
The E Street Band and The Killers together would be better than sex!! OMG!!!!
@@lorijohnson2348 Lol
This is the best killers song by a mile
I can't say if I'm happier for hearing this or for you guys playing with your hero. Much love from Slovenia and see you on tour ☀️
The Killers are the only current band that is underrated, it should even outperform many current bands that went generic like Coldplay. The Killers is a relic in modern times, unfortunately they make music for the love of art, it is not seen that they do it for money, beyond obvious earnings, for me one of the best bands today.
“Generic like Coldplay” ? Seriously?!?
@@ksasidhar2980 the old Coldplay was art, now is a random band
@@CuriosidadSinLimites I take great offence at that, but what can I do, arguing over these things just makes us dumber.
But you’d need to listen to “everyday life” before saying it’s generic. It certainly was one of the best albums of 2019, if not the best.
they are classes better than most modern acts the public is forced to listen, they make actual music
Well said
Can you feel that pure positive energy flowing around you
I'm so glad to have the opportunity to listen to this. One of my favorite songs ever in such a beautiful version with Bruce. Thank you ♥️

No other song has touched my soul as this one. I can just cry cos Brandon here sings it with one of my all time fave singer, Bruce Springsteen. Thank you for this Brandon Flowers!
And I fall in love with this song all over again. Best collaboration I've seen/heard in years. Well done. 😊

When they both sing together, they create a new voice. I couldnt separate one from another. It was weird, but then i realized it was beautiful. My mother know for my love to The Killers, and now shes gonna blow her mind off when she listens to Springsteen.
Thanks The Killers! You rock!

Genius....Killers and 'The Boss '....achingly poignant , beautiful and yet hopeful....wonderful
Sweet holy hand grenade, that’s the collaboration I never knew I needed to hear. Now I have it’s clear I’ve been waiting my entire life to hear something so majestic. Hairs on the back of my neck stood up and tingled as I listened. Sublime hardly covers it.
This is just something else, I’ve got those neck hair vibes too, this is truly something special
Gave me chills

I’m a big killers fan but I honestly never listened to this song until the collab with Springsteen… and WOW. I’m blown away
This is a brilliant song and holds such a great story behind, it just like every Killers song.
Omg, sus voces son increíbles, los amo. Grupo espectacular.
The moment when their voices begin singing together is magic.
They both brought the fire here!
Y’all can’t tell me y’all wouldn’t love to hear Flowers sing Born in the USA or Dancing in the Dark, or listen to Springsteen in his prime sing When you were young. This was always meant to be and I am here for it.
Best. Version. EVER. Killers + Boss
This song has some of the best lyrics of all time!! It blows me away just listening to all the words!!
This masterpiece is out of this world... Imagine this live 💕
He's a great lyricist, I can see why Springsteen is happy to collaborate with him.
Bruce Springsteen just takes this song to a whole different emotional level. Faultless.
I love that Bruce is intertwining himself with the newer artists that will continue to carry on the craft after him. I think it’s a wonderful thing to do in the denouement of a career.
Killers aren't new, though
@@Cmkerns03 he said 'newer" though 😀
"Newer": almost 20 years of career
@@guitaristssuck8979 with Bruce's nearly 40 years of career, it's like father and son
@@yuliartoandry You mean nearly 50... and it doesn't make them a "newer band"... maybe you're just 10 years out of sync
Walked down the aisle to this song ( slower Instrumental version)
Has been my fav song for many many years.
I just love this so much! Day and age got me through the grieving process when I lost my Grandaddy in 2010. I remember listening to this song on repeat accompanied by "Goodnight travel well". This version makes me so grateful for artist! The emotion through excellent imagery. Thank you🥰
Same here sis. Killers been wit me since they came out in 04. Knew I'd never stop listening to them since the first time I heard Mr. Brightside.
Music has that power. Especially when there is soul and feeling in it. May your grand-dad's spirit always be close.
