  • One of the most challenging thing to do in a project involving multiple stakeholders is to make sure that there is alignment on the vision of the project, while keeping it efficient so the project keeps moving forward rather than falling by the wayside. We found that the Expert Interviews method (or also known as Ask The Experts) taken out of the GV Design Sprint is a great way to run meetings so business stakeholders can voice out their opinions, suggestions and feedback objectively, while project teams take note for further consideration. This method helps us tremendously even on non-Design-Sprint meetings!

Do you get the stakeholders to do a voting? And whats the point of voting, how do you determine what to vote?

Hi Zoe! We always try to get stakeholders involved in voting of ideas, this usually happens when trying to decide on which solutions would best fit the challenge.
This week we will publish a new video about "How to decide on the best idea". Hopefully it will answer your questions on how to determine what ideas to vote and how to finally come into a decision on what the winning idea is. We'll be sure to send you a link through this comment thread once it's published. Thanks for watching!

      Hi Michael, thanks for watching!
It’s the “Empathise” stage! You’re absolutely right. It is about understanding your users and the problem they are facing through interviews and research. Your mind must be clear of any preconceptions and assumptions to empathise with the users.
Other arsenal of techniques and tools to accomplish this stage can also be: Lighting Talks, User Interviews, Expert Interviews, Affinity Mapping, User Journey Map, Six Thinking Hats...
We have written a Blog post about Design Thinking, it’s process and the exercises/tools that are typically found under each stage. Except here we refer “Empathize” as “Understand”. Same thing though! relab.academy/blog/design-thinking/design-thinking-101-guide-for-newbies/
      Hope this helps!
