      You know who people like Alvarez remind me of? It’s that episode of the Simpsons where the Itchy and Scratchy show introduce a new character (Poochie) voiced by Homer. At a Q&A, some geek (Alvarez) makes a comment about how Scratchy’s rib cage is apparently a magical xylophone and remarks “I hope someone got fired for that blunder” in which Homer responds “why would a man whose shirt says ‘genius at work’ spend all his time watching a children’s cartoon show?” and then the geek pulls out a chocolate bar, embarrassed, and says “I withdraw my question”. That fits Bryan Alvarez perfectly, someone whose done fuck all in the wrestling business besides being Meltzer’s errand boy, yet acts like he knows better than those who have been successful and knows how the business works

    Vince Russo has a great point. I've noticed this before, Meltzer is sad and pathetically pitiful. People like him are the reason wrestling has such a bad stigma. I've NEVER heard Meltzer really talk about women unless it's n a bad light. Fans like him are the reason wrestling fans are considered gay. Wrestling "marks" are no different than those grown folk that play dress up and wear star trek or star wars costumes. You know, like these Lord of the rings fans.

    • @fuzzydunlop7928
      @fuzzydunlop7928 4 года назад +1

      Meltzer managed to turn just talking about an industry into boucoup bucks and managed to get even the wrestlers to buy into him - meanwhile, you're getting two likes on a comment on RUclips. You don't have to like Meltzer, but not having the self-awareness to realize when you're punching up and when you're punching downwards makes you seem very delusional. Al Snow called him "the greatest worker in the history of the industry" for a reason - whether he likes him or not Snow realizes his power and influence on the industry is inescapable.
      Meltzer is not sad or delusional, he's making money doing something he loves - I hope I can be as fucking "sad" and "pitiful" as that guy when I'm his age. lmao I'm sure he's very sad about where his life has ended up. As soon as some shit goes down in a lockeroom of the Podunk Nowhere Wrestling Fed at least one rat will go and spill the beans to MELTZER. Brett fucking Hart will give an interview and talk about how good he felt after getting a glowing review from Meltzer in the newsletter - like it or not - that's power in the industry and whether you choose to acknowledge it or you're too fucking stupid to do so, it will still be there. It has NOTHING to do with liking Meltzer, it just has to do with accepting reality, of which you seem incapable - how very sad and pathetically pitiful for you.

    The wrestling industry is more than just 'fake fights'. Theres a lot more to it than just the 'make pretend TV shows' that Vince seems to think it is. Its filled with real people, where tragedy occurs, lives are ruined, injuries occur, drug addiction happens etc. So they're not taking it too seriously. It is serious. And its probably not taken seriously enough. Vince might view it as a job where you just come up with some wacky bullshit storylines and then go home. But that's not the industry as a whole.
