A month for a sweater is good! Halter tops aren't as complicated, so they can be faster (depending on size). ☺️ Sweaters can be a pain, depending on the pattern. Lol.
Clover hooks. I was sceptical but omg they are a game changer. I bought the set when it went on sale on Amazon. Also ergonomic hooks in general have helped me speed up

i have rly bad adhd, which means my attention span is ass. but honestly, when i do things like knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, etc. i am able to focus rly well. i also tend to put movies on in the background which helps

It's wrong to fix on speed , the satisfaction of finishing a projet should outweigh the time it took to make. If you only go for speed you lose the joy of working and creating things with your hands. I knit and crochet since I was 6 years old and that's 70 years all told. But I never loose the joy to create something new.

Not just practice, though. Using the same yarn weight helps tremendously. Also, don’t be afraid to try different manufacturers needles. Susan Bates may work for one person who hates Clover where it’s the other way around for someone else. Your tools can really make a difference too.
