We read “The United Tweets of America” last year to learn more about the states, from the perspective of state birds. We tallied up how often each bird was represented and made a bar graph. I’m surprised you don’t go in with your inlaws and get a whole house Generac. Runs on natural gas and it will run everything in our summer home except the air conditioner. Needs an oil change yearly and it runs for 10 minutes once a week to maintain itself. On the peninsula where our summer cottage is the power goes out constantly so it sure saves us when we’re there and keeps the furnace running in the winter when the power is out so our pipes don’t freeze.
We are looking at one of these, for my parents. My dad is stage 4 Parkinson‘a & my mom just can’t lift gas cans. We do not live but about 7 minutes away, but when the generator runs out of gas at 4:00 it feels like much further. We live in Fl, so hurricanes, are pretty common. Anything you do not like about yours?
I’m so glad you and Shaylee seem to be loving home school! It looks so fun 😂 not sure how much you like the kiddos on the internet, but the state project could also be a fun way to work on researching topics on the internet, and how to find reliable sources! I did a similar project in elementary school but was assigned one state and had so much fun learning all the different information about my state

To help with her vocab words, have her write sentences with the words and write each word 5-10 times. One thing that helped my kids with spelling words was doing search and finds. Mine would always come up missing and it turned out that one of my kids would have it.
With homeschool, I highlight each lesson as it has been completed in my planner. It helps me to see quickly what got finished and Friday’s is the day we catch up or do art projects and experiments. You are doing awesome. I love homeschooling my son!

I absolutely LOVE yalls apartment. Our home is only 988 sq. Ft and I LOVE it. Smaller homes are just so cozy and you have it decorated perfect. So cozy! I wish we had a Costco close by. Would love to go even once and check it out. Watching everyone’s hauls I get so jealous. We live in a major city and I think there is ONE maybe an hour away.

Im with you can never have enough freezer space. I have three 700L chest freezers, nicknamed “the coffins” as my son can lay in them with room to spare, lol! I only buy meat in store when on special or at Costco.groceries ate so expensive in Aussie especially meat Ground Beef use to be $4.60 for 500 grams not is $11 because of Covid. Are you buying a generator and stocking up on things to prepare for a natural disaster or just to be prepared? I have slowly started to stock up extra canned goods and water, Covid proved to our family that the stores will be wiped out if something else happens!
Whenever I think about getting a backup generator or second chest freezer I think about what if something happened where we couldn’t purchase gas any more. What good would a generator do in that situation? All that freezer food would be gone/wasted in a matter of days.
Looking forward to your Sam's vs Costco video. We belong to both and prefer Sam's. If you have a BJ Wholesale, you should get a one day pass and do a three way compare of the warehouse stores. That would be awesome to see!

To this day I can't remember people's names. When I got chickens I named them after the grandkids so at least I was saying their names over and over otherwise I would be that grandma who would say "how you doing buddy".

there is a great free website that I used last year with my son for our home school called easy teacher work sheets, if you are wanting to add something into your school day. Like if she was wanting to learn about a certain dinosaur, you could find work sheets for her to do. Plus, it comes with answer sheets.

I buy Tone's taco seasoning from Sams. It will last our large family a year and I make lots of tacos, taco soup, etc. I think you will like it.

They have the snack sized bags of the snapped crackers at sams and they are my favorite little snack to grab or stick in my families lunches.
