    So I made a pinned post a week ago but figured I would make an updated one
    1. I sold the bike lol, nothing was wrong with it just sold it for other reasons but totally would get another one when I get a chance again.
    2. We are over 50k views along with 200 subscribers. Never in me and Noahs dreams would we hit any of these numbers and we can't thank you all enough for watching this video.
    3. What's next for our channel? We are not sure yet. However some ideas are starting to float so hopefully we get a new video soon up for you guys. Thanks again everyone for watching the video!

      If you get another of whatever type you definitely want to take the class so that you don't, you know, die. The hardest part of riding a motorcycle isn't turning, braking, or other make-it-go stuff. The hardest part is not getting killed by cars. That is the main thing the class is about. Even the low speed handling class stuff, it makes you practice the basics. The more you think you don't need the class the more you do.

    Update from Duane Jahn. Finally got the motorcycle all put together. For me, the following steps were necessary:
    1. Unpack the bike from it's cage. This product is well protected
    2. Inventory all items. Missing were an owner's manual and registration pagers (still waiting for both)
    3. Assemble handle bars
    4. Put seat in place
    5. bought motorcycle jack (185.00) to facilitate putting front wheel on bike. No 1 person can do this part.
    6. Installed rear spring below seat
    7. Installed rear wheel bumper
    8. turned on switch below seat and tested electrical system. everything worked.
    9. Installed rearview mirrors.

      uh 40? nope i got 34 down hill with the wind at my back and im 5'5 160lbs the sla batteries are junk the motor controller is rated at 20 amps because of the batteries that is the max they can handle and they are soon going to be gone from mine and i just bought the 2019 model the hub motor is rated at 1980 watts stamped on the wheel and its a QS Motor. Back to the motor controller there is a few things to help it after Lithium high power cells are used but eventually for more speed it will have to be replaced because of the 20 amp limiter. I like it but its to slow ive got a e-bike that can do 30 with a 48 volt 1000 watt conversion kit.

    I'm glad to see you are getting into the 2-wheel transportation mode. My first vehicle was a Yamaha DT125. I don't want to discourage you but only wish to make you aware of something that you mis-spoke, and mis-printed here. The Boom Electric is not classified in Illinois as a moped, therefore it requires a class L driver's license to operate legally, on the streets. It will exceed 30 mph, and at the designated 2000 watts (that's what the cop and judge look at), it equals 2.68 horsepower. These 2 points disqualify it from being driven with a standard Illinois automobile driver's license. Unless you live in a town with very lenient police, you may want to consider what the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles has to say about motor-diriven cycles, or risk some surprise tickets:
    1. • A moped is a motor-driven cycle with speeds attainable in one mile of between
    20 mph and 30 mph.
    2.• Equipped with a motor that produces 2 brake horsepower or less.
    3.• If an internal combustion engine is used, the displacement shall not exceed
    50cc.
    4.• Power drive system does not require the operator to shift gears.
    5. All four criteria must be met, otherwise it is a motor-driven cycle and a Class L
    is required.
    6. A moped may be operated with any current, valid driver’s license of any classification.

      Merle's Garage I got pulled over once (something fell out of my backpack and sure enough he was behind) but he looked at my license and didn't question me at all. As for the bike I actually sold it in October and have moved over to foldable electric kick scooters. These are waaayyy easier to maintain but get more mileage and speed then this egrom I had. I have a couple videos on them. I own one at the moment but my buddy is getting one being sent to my place and I myself and getting a second one with even more speed and mileage. So I'll have 3 in my garage in a couple weeks lol. But this info will help other people out that watch this video and see your comment since I get quite a few people asking about this

    I have the exact same bike, same color as well. Though I live in Tx, it isn't really required to register this. You get a bit of haggle when you attempt. But You're right the bike is loads of fun. I weigh around 175ish, and also get around 40ish max mph. Doubt it's your weight. But one thing I noticed about it is...the left blinker is touch and go....if your wheel is tilted slightly left, the left blinker will shut off, but the right blinker works flawlessly. Good to see a fellow boom rider! Enjoy!

    I have the same bike. Same color. Yes the front wheel had to be put on here also. As well as the handlebar. The screws seemed tight, did a once over anyway. Top speed for me is 41 mph. I'm around 173lbs. An annoyance for me are the back breaks, the squeek/grind is loud enough to call squirrels and dogs! Aside from that I may need to adjust the shock under the seat. Squeeks like hell when rolling over bumps from under the seat. It is fairly quiet, this is true. But also be aware when going down residential streets, due to lack of noise ...cars parked can, and will pull out in front. (Driveways included). Keep your head on the swivel. Glad to see someone did a recent review. Oh. Also...not sure what type of headlight did they gave you...mine is a Japanese LED. I'll eventually see how to replace it. It's enclosed. I would have to find the bulb size.
    And as far as the inventory. They sold out after I got mine as well. After you make a purchase, in a few days it seems to say sold out. But I got mine from a different site. They just slap different logos on it. I got mine from venom motors. Same exact inventory. And, if you can find their site. ( I won't link due to the nature ) seems to be sold out at the same time as the other you mentioned. That leads me to believe either one company umbrella, or questionable practices. Regardless of the name, one sites' inventory shouldn't cause another company to post simultaneous Inventory status.
    And another thing, here in Texas it can't even be registered. Period. The vin number is not valid. Unless I'm just an unlucky one, they said my vin number wouldn't go through.

    Update On My Last Comment:
    Ive had this thing for a couple of weeks and its been the best.Belmonte Bikes customer service is awesome whenever you have any problems or questions.The speed goes as J&N describes and its a pretty smooth ride.The wheel was kind of a pain to put together cuz I didnt have a jack,but that and the fact there was no instruction book was my only complaint.It doesnt have cruise control unfortunately but it does have 3 speed modes which is a nice alternative.Also its pretty easy to beep your horn when you try to make a turn due to the signal switch being above the horn so be careful.😂.Bit of advice though,even if your province doesnt require registration,do it anyway cuz I got pulled over 4 times the other night cuz they see it as an actual motorcycle despite law not requiring tags.All&All,this thing is a LOT of fun and well worth the price!Thank you J&N as well for the nice review and the link to the bike.It convinced me&I love my decision

    Great overview of this bike! The speed and small size of this bike is perfect for in-town errands (doctors appointments, food pick ups, etc.) Glad your DMV doesn't require motorcycle M1 license for this bike.
    Because why would someone have to take a class to learn the subtelties of "friction zone" and "gear shifting" for a motorbike that doesn't have either feature? It would be a waste of time. The gov't really need to come up with new "electric specific" motorcycle training course/certification.
    For example, if you got an Electric Zero motorcycle next, it too does not have a clutch or gear shifter. Yet they will make you take a course on a regular gasoline motorcycle that needs precise clutch operation that is required to just operate the bike at its most *basic* level. On the other hand, a course designed specifically for electric motorcycles can then focus more on teaching new riders *critical* concepts like "road strategy", "mental attitude", "hazard avoidance", "safety gear", etc. All will do well to keep a rider safer on these mean streets full of inattentive cagers. :)

    • @JMProductions669
      @JMProductions669  5 лет назад +1

      Rotormatic I agree 100%, cause in the future I want to buy a used zero motorcycle since they are the best on the market. However the great thing with these small bikes is that cops really don't care about them. They mostly care about the sport 500cc bikers that zoom 100mph down our roads. So I could get a faster small electric and nobody would notice.
      As thr for the tests that is something they should do. Cause I really am not a fan of the whole gear shifting especially since I'm way more into electric then gas so I see it as me wasting money but sadly I'll have to eventually do it if I want the real thing.

    I have had my Boom for two seasons now, using it to go back and forth to work. I have about 1k miles on it. The batteries are near death, in need of replacement. I did put better brakes on it, comes with single piston that rubs all the time. You can adjust the speedo. It requires you to open the speedo case, and with a jewelers Phillips screwdriver, find the pot on the bottom of the circuit board, and dial it in. I put the back end in the air, gave it full throttle, converted the speed to mph and slowly turned the dial down until it read properly. Be aware it goes faster than 28 mph, in Illinois you will need a motorcycle endorsement.

The motor in mine peaks at 1200 watts and my 72V 20AmpHour SLA battery gets me 40-50km in the cold and 50-60+km on a good warm day.

Yes, gas costs money but the extra performance, gears and range are well worth the expense. Just my opinion.

    1 is there an owner's manual. The user manual is pretty useless.

    3. how do you attach the front wheel.
    Comments welcome. Thanks

    • @JMProductions669
      @JMProductions669  4 года назад

      Duane Jahn mine only came with the users manual so that's the only one they give you. As for the seat you have to snap it back on. Holding both hands on it as you press it back into place. Takes a bit of time but I got mine in a couple minutes. The front wheel I recommend looking up on RUclips. There is a youtuber named JD cars and he did a build of the bike and he shows how the wheel gets put on. However his was gas so he had to deal with a speedometer sensor but don't worry about that and follow the other steps for the wheel. Hope this helps out a bit for you!

    I just don't know what to make of these bikes. Some electric bikes are a lot faster. Based on mountain bikes. Granted probably a lot more expensive too. But at least more performance for your buck. With your bike I'm not sure I would bother. What's the point? My little Honda CB125, yes it's slow but around town it does the speed limit and can do over 500km on a tank of petrol. I like the idea of an electric motorbike but not this on. I just don't see the point. Others yes. This one no.

    • @JMProductions669
      @JMProductions669  5 лет назад +1

      Mark G Well the speed limits around my town are between 20-45 and my bike can hit those so to me the bike is perfect for city driving. Plus I only live a mile away from my work so it really doesn't lose much mileage from the battery's. I think it's worth it depending on how far you need to drive or if your willing to put in the mods to make it faster

      Power of Knowledge The mechanic is yourself lmao. But in all seriousness yes finding one is almost impossible but I'm sure someone can do the wheels and drain the brake oil for you. And for thieves just go on amazon and buy one of the locks that go around the disc brake and it has Bluetooth so it will tell you if somebody is touching it. Haven't had any issues though. And when buying from somebody. Go for Belmonte Bikes like I did. There sold out but they plan on bringing more in at the end of August so you can preorder with them and it will be ready once that have arrived. Most of the bikes are the exact same. Especially if it's named boom 2000w but they have been updating them a little bit year by year and the 2018 model that I have is great! It's a strong bike and I do recommend it. H10 VLOGS so for me personally I would get an average of 25-30 miles but can be less depending on how rough you are on the throttle . Max would be 40 if your really careful with it. Other then that I highly recommend it. It's super easy to charge and maintain. As long as you know how to put the wheel on when it arrives and handlebars your good to go! The torque can be fun too when taking off at a light

      H10 VLOGS The front wheel does not come attached, you would have to put it on. Unless they have changed and now they do put it on but not sure. Anyways here's the link for the website www.belmontebikes.com/

    You need a UART programmer and connect it to the controller. ;)
