My biggest frustration is that I take the time to learn these drills and training techniques and then I’ll hop into matches with people who say they never play deathmatch, and don’t even have a concept of warming up - and I still get rolled in duels. Am I that fucking bad? I love this game but it’s so disheartening.

Im like s2 peak and all but i have learned that although a lot of deathmatch practice improves your gameplay in the long run. In the short run it will be very tiring because the moment you queue up you're probably already tired from your warmup

I peaked d3 likes a couple years ago, and immortal on console. I have a few tips, 1. Just have fun, don’t get frustrated. 2. Differentiate training and warming up, training should be 30-60 minutes and you should be completely focused on learning whatever mechanics your practicing (take a break before comp) warming up should be short 10-20 min on half focus before going into comp so that you can play at 100%

Training is a long term thing, you’re not going to train for a few days or a week and start climbing multiple ranks, just keep consistent. For some people they will rank up quicker, some slower but they both rank up. play selfish, learn 1/2 agents and instalock them every game, play to maximize your progress, when you die always think what YOU did wrong. Last, it could simply be your setup, like straight up I upgraded from a laptop to a monitor and desktop and went from silver to diamond in I think it was 2/3 acts

A lot of people here actually tackled your problem quite well, but I'll chip in!
Stamina is actually a quality that people tend to have. Gauge yourself. How much can you play before hitting a wall. Pros are taught early that they should be able to him a 2 hour mark before taking a small breather and going back in for another 2.
The game is frustrating if you are still trying to develop, but give it time. We all progress differently!
If you find yourself frustrated, take a small break and come back. 15 minutes is enough. Drills are for practicing fundaments. Overtime, you WILL become better, patience is both a virtue and a necessity with Valorant.
Warmups should not exceed 30 minutes.
Training should be different as you are playing the game with all your full focus, so consider that in your playtime. Are you practicing today or are you grinding? This should help you isolate your problems!

It takes a ton of time to improve when ur starting as a beginner. When I started I was wining about 2% of my dms. Now I win 15% after about 300 hrs of playing DM and I’ve climbed from bronze to ascendant. This game is extremely difficult and time consuming if u have no experience

I want to +1 this video! This entire episode, my DM drill has been no audio + focusing on crosshair placement + tracking vs. pre-aiming corners (don't care about winning). I've seen a huge improvement in my matches. As my crosshair placement has gotten better, I see more movement error, so I think I may try the Miyagi method next episode.

Progress is never linear, so when you see that improvement it feels so nice. Glad to hear you are succeeding with your journey! See you in Immortal

Thx for these wonderful video. Actually can't play Valorant right now because of my studies, but later the noob that I am will slowly improve Even if it takes a lot of time

I completely understand, I coach and also work on the side so even I can't find the time to play someetimes. Do what makes you happy (and not super tired)

But does this work on console…

Of course! The results will work no matter the input. The drill, however, may look a little different due to different skill floors on console
