College was rough to start. Whole new place, whole new people, entirely new daily rhythm, but just like always, you'll make it through, you'll meet the right people, and college will be an amazing time. I was sad when I had to LEAVE college, since it meant I went back to live with my parents for a little while. But you'll grow so much as a person in college! Keep on chuggin' through.

Everyone is! It can be hard to put yourself out there, but think of it like ranked. Just finished my undergrad, and I can definitely attest to missing old friends and struggling with meeting new people when I first started. College is very hard, but it gets easier the later years as you get used to your own studying schedules and life routines :) I'm glad you're spending time with your parents and with yourself at the gym, and I can assure you that things will get better for you as well. It took me a LONG time to settle into college. I've also had to make new friends recently and been missing my old friends, and it can be quite hard, but things work out in the end. Its so great you're spending time with your family and for yourself (gym). One way to get to know people is to interact with ppl with similar interests, and i think college is better for that than HS. otherwise you're always gonna find people with similar interests if you join clubs. I had a hard time making new friends in college because i work and i commute to school, but you'll always find those people that you just click with right away. I totally get missing old friends, my best friend lives in Florida and we haven't seen each other in over a year and a half and sometimes it does get lonely (especially since i don't quite have friends living near me). Things will get better! Always take time to focus on yourself and your health (mental and physical), it's what's most important. You'll also always have us, your fans, here to support you!
Missing old friends is so real, it sucks not having a steady group of people you can have fun and hang out with. I'm luck to have an online group of friends, but whenever I'm offline I always find myself feeling lonely (Plus online friendships aren't always the most stable relationships) so I've been wanting to make more friends at my college, that's easier said than done tho. A tip I have for at least getting some social interaction is joining a club! I joined an ASL club my first year of college and I had a lot of fun hanging out and learning with everyone even if the club only lasted for that year. Not sure what the plan is for my second year but hopefully I can make something happen :D Good luck with college!!

Hey Dinghy, as someone who has gotten their bachelors and is working on there masters; the thing that made college easy for me socially was joining their esports teams. You should check to see if your college has a esports team or an esports club. Most colleges nowadays at least have a club for it and it is a really easy way to make friends or at least have a regular social outlet. Also when you go to college (assuming you are going out of state here), there are still a lot of breaks like in high school such as summer break and winter break that will give you time to meet back up with your friends so just remember it's not like you are going away forever.
