Why I Quit My Job...

  • We all know that the one constant in life is change. People change, situations change, jobs change. Here’s my story.
Follow along on my final day trucking in Ol' 111. This truck and I have been through a lot together since 2014, the memories of some of our adventures are captured in videos you can find right here on the channel.
Though I don’t own the truck, I do own many personalized pieces on it including the Bentz sleeper, steering wheel, shifter, lights, etc. My son and I spent a Saturday removing these parts and putting much of the Kenworth back to stock.
Let me say this clearly; I am NOT leaving RUclips or any of the other jobs I have. I’m still a writer for LargeCar Magazine. I’m still pinstriping. I’m still planning out future projects that will be featured here on the channel, both hot rod and semi truck!
By stepping out of the cab and turning wrenches for my day job I will have MORE TIME to spend on making content with my sons that we can be proud of. I have big hopes for the future and I can confidently say that the Lord God has led me here. There’s no better feeling than knowing his leading.
So. This is not a goodbye video, it’s letting you know about a turn in the directions and I hope you’ll follow along! The future is looking bright and I can’t wait to show you the new shop(s) where we’ll be building awesomeness. I plan to go to MANY truck shows to get interviews and do pinstriping. We are planning on joining the Hot Rod Power Tour with our father-son built Cutlass. Plus so much more. It’s gonna be awesome. Guaranteed it’ll be blue collar an fun. As always it’ll be kid friendly and seeking to glorify Christ.
So here’s to the new adventure! Who’s with me?

    2 things of change.
1- find the job you love and you'll never have to work a day I your life.
2- if you cannot direct the winds, you can adjust your sails. I worked for the usps and thought I hit my dream job but was hectic, long long hours only having to do it again and again 6 days a week 14 hours days.. took my life away from me and my family. Respect it's for the singles and no children type job to start then go long run.. but I'm in my 50s and it made me think about well being for me and my tribe. So best of luck with you and new path bro. You did right.

Just came across this video and really put me in my feels. I was just terminated from job today unexpectedly. While I am still upset over it, I'm also happy now I have some time to spend with my wife and niece. Your video gave me some hope that better things are ahead for me. You definitely earned yourself a new subscriber, loved the Bible verse at the end. Look forward to your next video. You definitely made the right decision.

Just ran into your channel here for the first time describing your last day driving for this company. Going to go back to being a mechanic and spending more time with your kids. Passion is something that a lot of people do not have and I commend you for following that passion. I’ll celebrate with you on your new path in life. We have such a short time on this earth so spend it with the family, friends and meet some new friends along the way. I’ll subscribe to your channel so I can follow you. So show us that passion.

Ever since I watched your sleeper video I have been searching hard for an old sleeper. I haul Utility poles from Or to Nv and it would save me about $1300.00 a week in motels. Although more surgeries in the future . I'll keep you informed in the future . Haven't ever watched you before but I think I'll subscribe even though I'm in Florida as I think you'll be somewhat relatable to me . Hope to have some land in the future , maybe a pet bull and do some hunting along with owning my first boat so maybe some deep water fishing . We'll see !
