Yeah you just pay crazy prices out of pocket because insurance won't cover it.

Mark, more sneaky-bean recipes, please! Great job on this one. I'm looking forward to trying it! Thanks for all your hard work. 🙏🏻
Oh I tried your recipe with tofu and beans mixed to make a sorta of mac and cheese, it was really good. Thank you. You've become a human bean :D
I really am trying to sneak more beans into everything!! hahah but that Mac and beans was really good right?!!
@@SauceStache awesome. I had some black beans so it was like black sepia at the end but so good. I made a spicy version with some habanero I had.
I tried that recipe too. It was good! And easy to make!
I often throw some split red lentils in my tomato sauce and pretty much anything that is red-ish that needs thickening: they just dissolve into the sauce and thicken it with no effort.
I have done this for years too, it is such an amazing health hack. For new people make sure you got enough "water" to cook out the lentils.
Red lentils are brilliant ❤.
This looks great, and glad you recognise the usefulness in making dishes that look and taste similar to old versions but are even healthier, really good recipe here.
good for you! I've been doing that in my cooking with butter beans and cannellini beans. Also, something my mom used to make when I was a kid (like 60 yrs ago) was what she called barbecue lima (butter) beans. Basically it was drained lima beans with her favourite bought BBQ sauce diluted with broth (but you could just use water). Lots of pepper and it was one of my favourite things.
Thanks for the idea. I prefer this style of vegetarian cooking to that fussing around imitating meat.
This dish is simple, nutritious and delicious.
I like to include chickpeas and potatoes in my curry sauce. As they cook, they break apart slightly and merge with the sauce. Makes it very hearty!
Same! I also like to add additional red lentils to my curry, makes it even thicker and creamier and lbr I simply add legumes to every dish ever.
Pink sauce always has a slightly creamier and velvety mouthfeel and I love the idea of using beans to achieve that! Monica's idea to try this with a curry is also fantastic - especially for those who cannot use coconut milk!
Looks really lovely. Cannellini beans might create a less chalky texture than butter beans? There's a certain dryness to butter beans.
I think if you would have cooked up some dried butter beans instead of canned it may have been less chalky in texture. To me canned beans are more dry and less creamy.
BEANSSSS - I am constantly trying to eat at least like a half cup a day, this is super helpful. TY!
If you are from Youngstown Ohio I love it I am from that city and I think we have the best food on the planet because of all the different cultures. I'm learning to use these vegan recipes I've never heard of Seitan. thank you so much
What a great idea! For the texture, maybe processing the ingredients more slowly would help? instead of processing all the beans at once and then the water, maybe putting some water and a few beans, process, add some more beans and process again, etc.
I did something similar for a tofu cheese made with yogurt and got great results.
Thank you!! and yes, you can totally processes at a slower pace for an even creamier texture!!
Great tip btw!! thank you
thank you--this looks wonderful!
Absolutely making this, thank you. Love the grated lupini beans. Forgiving you for not soaking the pasta but I think that would add to the silkiness of the sauce. I wonder if removing the skins from the beans would help? They're always falling off canned beans anyway and skinning garbanzos makes a smooth hummus.
I made an alfredo with butter beans and it was yummy!
It's been a long time (over a decade) since I last made a dairy ricotta sauce, but even then I remember a 'texture', and frankly it wasn't bad! Just more rustic. So I am totally down with plant based improvements on animal based recipes. Animal based was the past, plant based is the future.
Im fasting right now. This is day one but Ill still watch this. Love ya man
Thank you sooo much!! You'll enjoy this one!!
Just save this and go back to it when your fast is over. 😏
First I adore your and Monica’s channel and congratulations on the weight loss. Two suggestions, first you don’t need oil as you can sauté with vegetable stock or even water you have to keep a close eye but I do this now because I was influenced by The Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show. Second I sometimes use pasta made from beans, usually chick pea based. I don’t always as I use beans a lot but just a couple of ideas ❤
Red Lentil pasta is my favorite
Trying this asap!!
no ish youre from y-town!! thats awesome! im from there too, been in and out of the area for decades.
How have I never thought of that
I made this tonight - few mods like a pinch of curry + mixed herbs grated fresh ginger and used chickpeas instead of butter beans , It came out awesome - thank you for the inspiration @SauceStache - real nice quick meal
I will definitely try this for our family pasta night, thank you!
I do something similar with cashew cream. but I am going to try using beans. pair it with some garlic bread
I'm about to start a health kick using intermittent fasting and exercise. Something I'm finding difficulty with when it comes to macros is protein, as in getting as much as my body weight demands. This is such a great idea, as even though I do love beans, I think I would most likely get bored of them after a while. No reason why I couldn't incorporate this idea into other dishes, such as borlotti beans in a gravy or cannellini beans in a pasta sauce.
Great idea, thank you 😀
Add tofu and hemp and pea protein!
@@pinkiepinkster8395Thank you 😊
Thanks 😊. I’ve beefed trying to figure out how to eat more beans 🫘 since watching the Netflix show about the blue zones
I'm gonna sub in cannellini beans for the butter beans !!
Beans bean good for your heart! It’s all the soluble fiber that’s excellent for heart health. Plus this looks absolutely delicious!
This looks like such a treat. Love incorporating more protein in my diet
My hubby grew up in Youngstown. I’ll have to ask him about that restaurant.
I sneak beans into a lot of dishes, but the pasta sauce ad the curry sauce sound delicious.
I used to blend a mild bean into my smoothies lol. Helped me gain weight.
This looks yummy, love beans, I’ve always tried to find away to eat as many as possible. Love garbanzo beans they are truly my favorite.
Oh looks yummy definitely want try this ,thax so much for all your time you put in to give us the PAWSOME healthy recipes 🥰
Thank you sooo much!!!!
Maybe just some Cashews with the Neans, for creamyness.
Pesto + Beans ^^
This is kinda like this product i randomly buy. Its a company that makes vegan sauces and has different types of beans in them. The one i really like is their cannellini and vodka.i usually use it with some protein pasta and some plant based chorizo.
Loved the Blue Zone doc. Any great minestrone recipes?
What about a mash made w white beans to replace mashed potatoes? I've been thinking about this for my diabetic husband.
love the idea!
beans for the win!
I like that olive oil brand you got there. love the recipe.
Thank you!!! it was really good!!
Such a great idea!
great idea! i actually love beans so this is a double win for me.
Great idea. I'm doing this!
When are you opening your restaurant? With recepies like this it would be awesome!
Butter beans are the best for sneaking beans into things. 🤣 They make the best cheeze sauce! 💜💜
Your cast iron looks spotless-how do you clean it without damaging the enamel?
Thank you!!! I cook sauce in it a lot and the acid from the tomatoes really helps!! BUT I clean all my pots and pans with a bit of baking soda. It cleans everything
@@SauceStache I tried that and it helped a lot. Thank you! Unrelated: I suggest checking out "Broken Cuisine: Chinese tofu,
Western cooking, and a hope to
save our planet" since it takes a combinatorial, scientific approach to ingredients that reminds me of your channel. It introduces many types of tofu that simply aren't present in most American kitchens
Could you make *gnocchi with beans* ? Maybe cannellini? Would that work?
My question is, shouldn't it be pinker? When I think of pink sauce, I think of vodka sauce, which is much brighter in color.
But if that wasn't the intent, then I have no additional comment. It looks great and I am looking forward to trying this, since I can't eat lactose anymore and heavy cream kills me.
Oh it's totally a preference thing!!! This is about how I like it but making it pinker would still be really good!!
@@SauceStache thank you for clarifying, I wasn't sure what the intent was. Either way this looks awesome and super inventive way to use beans!
You never cease to amaze me 🎉
Never knew you were from Youngstown! I have family and friends that live in Youngstown! Small world huh? Lol.
I love watching you create but keep a eye out on your food In the video I spotted A liitle guy (bug) in the blender. Good recipe Though :)
Black Eyed Peas!
Cook fast and tender; sneak those in next recipe.
I can’t wait to use my beans like that. I have so many cans. Yes sir!!
A tin of Heinz Baked Bean put in the blender makes an excellent quick stir-in sauce for pasta!
My generic baked beans on hands are 30% sugary per half cup servings. I only eat such maybe 2X yearly.
@@rebeccafrost5542 Not sure about your brand, but Heinz brand are 15.5g carb, which is only 4.3g sugar per 100g. Just the beans themselves will be 13g of carb per 100g, but mostly starch / fibre. Beans and tomatoes make up 86% of the ingredients, then it is Water and then Sugar, Spirit Vinegar, Modified Cornflour, Salt, Spice Extracts, Herb Extract.
I need to get lactic acid but if I can’t find it what is a good alternative for it?
Oh totally, you can just use a pinch of lemon juice. Lactic acid just has that specific tang that makes it taste creamy... but lemon will give you a similar taste
@@SauceStache nice! Thx! 😊
Pink sauce aka Rosa. Grew up in the middle US? lol
The thought emporium made an interesting video about making chicken soup flavoring from an old US patten maybe you'll find it intriguing or useful
I want to say you look sooooo much younger since you lost w8 wow. 😮
You must’ve worked really hard to lose weight I love the transformation it’s amazing 🙂
Maybe you can share your secret with us like do a how to lose w8 special 😀
Curry next!!!
Lol. Italians put beans with pasta all the time. It’s called pasta fagioli
haha yeah I know... thats not what this is though... not at all
GOOD MORNING SAUCYMAN!!!
"I like my sauces". You don't say lol
Good Morning Christopher!!!! Hahaha 😂 I do like sauces haha 😂
More beans into more recipes! 🎉❤💗🤩😍
Those beans looks like the white kidney beans isit the same as the white kidney beans?
Kidney Beans are traditionally brown or red... these are large white beans or butter beans
@@SauceStache they do have white kidney beans it’s called Cannellini beans
didn't see the netflix doc but I live in one of the blue zones and yes we eat a lot of beans LOL
Navy beans, to me, are the creamiest beans. More so, that Butter beans.
Looks delicious! 👍👍👍👍👍
Looking forward to more bean inclusions
I sometimes find I've eaten beans twice a day and think, is this normal 😅
That is a lot of beans, I would propably have heavy stomach issues after this.
MY MAAAAN!
hold up. you grew up in youngstown???? I did too. I was born in St Elizabeth's in 1982.
Isn't "pink sauce" just called "rosé" ?
Probably just a regional thing, cause yeah I would call it a rosé sauce. Same thing though
BEANS 🫘🫘🫘
YES!!!
mashaAllah look so yummy 😋🤤
It was soooo good!!! Thank you!!
Ugh I’m disappointed lol I thought I was finally 1st on your channel 🤦🏽♀️ 😂
You were close!!!!
@@SauceStache lol thx for the reassurance 😁
But this is orange not pink 😢
