    I like it a lot, but I don't think it's enough to upgrade if you already have last year's Razr Plus.

      This is what I wanted to know, is it even worth getting this over the 23 plus version? I’ve been wanting the razr for a while and after watching many videos on the 2024 version, I feel like it would be better to just get the 2023 plus version now that the price of it has dropped!

      I'm a big samsung fan like currently using a s20 FE and love it. However it's 5 years old now, a bit of screen damage ( my fault ) I get a free upgrade and Motorola Razr is one of them.
      I agree he solidified my choice 100%

    Took the dive and upgraded for an s20 fe to the razr+ 24 and so far its a solid device with alot of cool features the non Samsung android is actually really refreshing and so far i have not gotten anything in the hinge and I've been out in dirt filled environments. (obviously my results may change over time)

      I've done the same change from that lovely S20fe, many great features- especially the storage/ram/screens/charging... Software was a step down from Samsung I feel.
      But overall definitely enjoying it!

    In terms of looks I think Flip 6 has a better build design but the Razr has a better cover screen

    I love mine. But, Id say sometimes the hinge feels a bit rough. I have not taken it out of the house yet nor put it in a pocket. I'm waiting for my case to come. I wipe the hinge too with a lint free cloth and it just feels rough at times.

    I just hope next year, Moto would consider using a matte frame AND a matte border surrounding the main 6.9 inch display just like the Z Flip 6. The smudges take out the pristine look of the Razr+.

    I dig the Razr and Razr Plus with what Motorola improved this year. But the real deal breaker for me is the limited software support. For the expensive price tags of both Razr phones this year, it doesn’t have nearly enough software support. I absolutely love what I’ve seen of the Z Flip 6 but they are way too expensive despite awesome software support. We really need a company to make a great foldable phone that is inexpensive and has many years of support. I guess that’s never going to happen.

    I’m thinking of switching to moto from iPhone. But what smart watch with LTE works with it? All the T-Mobile employees just grumble Samsung / Google watches connect but not well. What’s the scoop? What do I do? 😅

      @StevealiciousTech  3 месяца назад +1

      Ummm, I don't know why they say they don't connect well. Samsung watches I think will do a little better than Google watches for that, but they should work fine. I think they might mean there are some Samsung specific features that work better with one of their phones.

    I thought and maybe it's just me, but the purpose of having a flip phone is that when it closes, the screens will be protected so then you don't have to deal with crack screens. If you put the screen on the outside also, then you risk dropping and cracking. It is just my thought process.

    I actually got both but returned the Motorola razr 24 plus. Kept the z flip 6. I think overall it's the bigger improvement and better specs internal for sure they make a difference the cooling chamber the chip and battery. For me actually there is no reason to buy the regular Razr this year if u can buy the plus last year that is better speced devices and is also cheaper now too.

    • @MattD-z2c

      Flip 6 played it safe and the front screen is trash.. only reason someone would switch from razr is updates and UI of Samsung/AI

    • @djarthurlooby
      @djarthurlooby 3 месяца назад +1

      @@MattD-z2c do u really need a 120 hrz battery draining front screen? And honestly u can get every app running on the front screen on the z flip 5 6 as well. And there is a few other reasons. The z flip 6 has a much better chip inside. And a cooling chamber so for all the gamers the phone will stay cool while playing keeping it from slowing down. Moto Razr is missing all that plus dust and water resistant what only the z flip 6 has. But the Razr looks better now questions. But the z flip has the better internals and specs.

    • @djarthurlooby
      @djarthurlooby 3 месяца назад

      @@MattD-z2c yeah but then again it's a flip phone. If u want a great big screen in the outside u might as well buy a regular phone. Flips and folds have their goodies in the inside screen. Why buying a flip or fold if u want to use the outside screen mainly u can buy other phones cheaper with better specs then. So yeah. Anyway again the Razr is definitely the better looking device.

    • @mikevsworldofficial
      @mikevsworldofficial 3 месяца назад +5

      Well, let's keep it 💯. The razr+ is gonna sell more units over the Z Flip 6 because regardless of the under the hood specs the flip 6 has over the Razr+, people aren't buying flip phones for the latest and greatest specs, if they wanted those they would be buying flagship slab phones. They buy cover screen flip phones because of the cover screen and the unique experience that gives over traditional smartphones.
      The Motorola Razr+ 2024 has a bigger cover screen, better refresh rate, and still has a great chipset and battery inside for normal use, and it costs less. To the average consumer it's a no brainer.
      To your point of the 120hz outer screen "draining battery faster" that's nonsense because if your using the cover display, your using less power than if you used it opened up because your effectively using only half a screen, and it's an adaptive refresh rate, on a still screen the hz drops down to 1hz further saving the battery.
      Besides these points, the only other points I've seen made is "well, Motorolas updates are slow" and "Samsung gives you 7 years of support, moto only gives you 3"
      1. yeah they could improve on the update frequency, but again the average person isn't gonna care about getting the latest and greatest android updates for more bells and whistles half of them aren't gonna ever use. No one's gonna hack your phone, not getting the latest security patch as fast as everyone else isn't the end of the world either.
      2. 7 years of support from Samsung is a great gesture but it's a facade, because Samsung knows barely anyone is gonna take full advantage of that. The average lifespan of phones these days is 2-3 years, so only having 3 years of support is not as big a deal as some Samsung knights make it out to be.
      (Sorry for the wall of text😅)
