@@peterdaremedia Batman: Year One is a phenomenal place to start reading Batman and after that The Long Halloween, that needs to read before Samnee's Batman and Robin: Year One which is in stores right now.

My reading order for people who want to read some of the stories in timeline order Batman year one Batman: Haunted Knight Long Halloween Batman Venom Batman dark victory Robin year one Batgirl year one
As someone who felt pretty let down by the lack of real narrative in Year One, The Long Hallowe'en, The Killing Joke and Hush, The Black Mirror is imo *the* best Batman story (at least as far as I've read)
I always say just start on Snyder’s run too. It’s a great modernization of Batman and enough of a jumping on point and does enough things different that it feels fresh for someone who’s probably seen most of the movies.
I jumped into this looking at the thumbnail thinking you would have like at least 20k subs this is good content keep going you’re definitely gonna be big
Agreed with most of the recommendations, I didn't really enjoyed the Batman who laughs (and anything that thing is on), grew tired of that concept after the first Metal crossover, but if you like it you like it, no arguing on that. Batman the Cult I believe is also a fantastic read and the Batman Adventures books are simple fun and works with most people that enjoyed the animated series (which is a ton of people). Great video, just discover the channel some weeks ago and you really have some nice points and fun talks.
If you enjoyed 3 Jokers than you might enjoy Batman Earth One vol.1-3. Also, I believe that Tom King took over Batman after Scott Snyder. He wrote it for about 3-4 years before Tynion took it over from him.
make more videos. i feel like in no time youre gonna join the top dogs in the world of comic youtubers. you’re actually better than 90% of them already. my only recommendation is to change your channel name to something with “comics” in the name maybe. just so people know what youre about and that youre not just another vlogger type dude. your videos are awesome been watching them all since i found you last night when one of your videos showed up in my feed.
I say a great point to start is Robin:flying solo. You get the events of the tragic fall of batman thru a different direction. After i read batman Knoghtsend to let you indulge in that sagas ultimate conclusion. From their id nabb that dark theme and start with Batman 523 which starts you off with a new twist on batmans classic foes the incoming issues. Id stay on the run till Beatty leaves and head to Scott Petersons without bucketts Batgirl. Than id randomly get stuff like the cool batman superman run. Thats my intro and outro

BWL is a great concept and his first stories, Metal and the mini series, are very solid but he was eventually overused and turned into a cartoonish gimmick by the end.
This is not a reading order, this is just what are the best stories to read
Yeah true, you could also read them in some order lol

Long Halloween is also a really important read for the Batman lore

I’d maybe also mention “The black mirror” by scott snyder. I thought it was fantastic and it might be my favorite batman story i’ve read
Damn, you’re right - I totally should have included that. Love that book!

I would include The man who laughs, and Arkham Asylum, also for Scott Snyder fans I'd include Last Knight on earth
I started on the knightfall vol.1 for batman a week before I saw your video 😅
Love these vids man keep up the good work!🤙

Great list, a lot of overlap from what I’d choose for my own! One not included was Batman White Knight, which spawned its own series of spin-offs.

DUDE! I HAD THE EXACT SAME BATMAN FIGURE, BROWN SUIT AND ALL!
Great video! Love the humor and editing man! Keep up the hard work brother!
Stay ⚡️ Nerdy!
Thank you so much!
My first DC McFarlane was Invasion. I bought it when I was a kid long before Todd was famous.

Interesting! Sounds cool
Who is Jeff Johns? :p
Also, Tynion is pronounced (kinda) like Tiny Onion.
Great video man
Show footage of the pages when talking about them
Who's your favorite Bat-villain? -mine is Penguin.

Right! What a hot take! Ya tool!
Where do you buy comics?
Anywhere I can find them lol - mostly in-person at comic shops
The actual "Year Two" is actually The Long Halloween, it was made as a sequel for Year One
