Why do I mostly understand French Friday’s but I almost fail the listening activities in class?

Listening to foreigners speaking french and listening to native speakers are two different things (if your listening activities actually include native speakers). Even though Damon and Jo have a good accent, they still sound "foreign" because they pronounce the words differently and somewhat more clearly than french speakers. French people don't bother articulating much, that's why it's so hard to understand them. As a french native speaker, I encountered the same issue with english. Listening and training with natives are the only solutions to the problem I'm afraid. If you're learning french I wish you good luck though, don't be discouraged by the possible difficulties ^^.
Literally same. I can't understand any spoken french yet I can read Harry Potter in French. I'm in a baddd spot lmao

Try to follow some french youtubers with french subtitles. Since you can read Harry Potter in french I assume you're fluent enough in french reading which is a really good thing. So in order to improve your listening skills, watching french videos with the subtitles is a really good way to know how french speakers pronounce words. I did the same with english and it works wonders, I don't need subtitles anymore in most of the english videos I watch. Hope this little advice will help you, bonne chance ^^.

Honestly, i'm impressed how productive you were on a travel day. I have chronic migraines, and get one every time I fly. So I pretty much do nothing on travel days except get to where I need to be lmao
