I have a Insignia OPC sportstourer (yes is a station wagon). I think is the perfect sleeper car. There are some SUV Porsche owner still crying out can confirm ;)
I think this is the best sounding V6 in GM's HFV6 lineup. It has a deep sound compared to the high-revving raspiness of other NA V6 on this GM's V6 lineup. Really nice car with a reasonable and powerful engine!
the most important thing - AUTOMATIC GEARBOX SUCK....... manual transmission has ~6s 0-100. when you bying OPC you need to buy manual version if you want pretty quick car
Have you ever worked on those cars ? The Aisin AW80-SC was specifically designed for cramped engine bays. The transmission is only 14 inches long. I doubt a DSG would have fit. Of course a manual transmission is better. And it was available ! So if the owner decide to buy the automatic version, he gets a very, very robust, miniature 6 speed auto. The Manual version was slightly cheaper and a DSG option, if doable, would have been easily 2 to 3 grand more. This is not a sports car, this is a rushed gentleman saloon.
