I was very very impressed by him and so was everyone else. regardless, i performed my best, made it to state for all my events, was surrounded by tons of awesome team mates and it is cool seeing someone I raced against go so far so fast in his track career. wishing the best for him.

    Since his best time was 6.59 coming into the competition I didn't think he'd even make the final. Winning his heat is just stunning. But since it was basically a three-way tie for first and the guy from the first heat ran a faster time, they're just aren't any favorites to win the race. Normally I'd say I don't expect him to place because this really isn't his race but every break seems to go his way so maybe he'll do it one more time.
    Pretty cool to PR in the preliminary heat. Just making it to an NCAA final in the 60 is a great accomplishment. Jones is a freshman and I don't feel too bad for him but I'm crushed for Micah because I really thought he would win.

Sad to see such talent be DQ'd in the 1st round. But how sweet to watch the development of Matt Boiling and doing 60m-400m is unbelievable. I remember many many yrs ago reading results in an Athletics magazine (B4 internet) n Carl Lewis was in a very rare 400m race which he done in 47.1sec, now compare that to what matt can do and many many more sprinters in the USA ATM it's looking very good for American sprinting as a whole. Will Jamaica have an upsurge like this very soon along with other brilliant sprinters from around the world, we might see an all 8 sprint race this year where all 8 go under 10sec? I think Matt started slow because he just watch 3 great runners get eliminated! He didn’t want to risk it. Matt has improved his start in the 60, which is why I am thinking he must have psyched himself out

    Matthew Go Dawgs!!!!!!! I don't know how he came back to win that race wow. I have been watching him for two years now. I have only seen him have one great start. He needs a lot of work on his start. I have noticed one other thing. He is fighting with everything he has to finish strong. He is flaying at the win and he is very tight at the finish. Needs to work on that. I am a huge fan of Matthew good luck in the finals.

    Finished 5th in the 60 final with 2 of the fastest runners in the world missing. Williams was a freshman last year,and made the olympic team as a relay alternate. Boling also finished 3rd in the long jump,an event I thought he would win. He has a lot of improving to do,if he is going to be a world class athlete.

      But a great start will take some energy away from his top end. That's how it works. But he can still improve his time with a great start just don't expect that same top end with a great start.

    • @thewalkingjoke3843
      @thewalkingjoke3843 2 года назад

      @@thewalkingjoke3843 my point is that we have a finite amount of energy. If more energy is expended on a great start it leaves slightly less for the finish.
