The "I'm not gonna eat one iota of sh*t." line was improvised. :D They sold this movie in the trailers on Chris Evans saying "Eat sh*t. Eat sh*t. Eat sh*t." Cause he had JUST finished being Captain America. Actually, he was too muscular for this character which is why they put him in those thick sweaters, but you can actually see the sweaters straining against his arms in some scenes.
Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas also briefly worked together again in an awesome segment of No Time To Die, which was probably filmed well closer together than their release dates.
Fun fact: Secret writing. "Is that a thing?" Yes. I learned to do it in 6th grade with lemon juice. I'm sure the character used a more sophisticated solution, but if you write a message in lemon juice and Let it dry, it will hardly be noticeable. Then when you want to read it, you heat the paper up with a candle or lighter
Apparently Knives Out 2 is going to have a whole new All Star Cast with Daniel Craig's character set to be in the sequel, it's almost like Midsommer Murders (Same Detective Different Case)
YES!! Someone else who references Midsomer Murders as a genre touchstone! Fantastic show with great writing/acting (not to mention the slew of “before-they-were-famous” guest stars like Orlando Bloom, Olivia Colman, and Henry Cavil). However, I agree that Benoit Blanc is more akin to Poirot -- a private detective “of great renown” who is brought into an unfamiliar setting/cast of characters to solve a ::potential:: murder and eventually does so by picking up on minute details, to the surprise of all (especially the guilty party/parties)
Ana De Armas is the main lead. She's been blowing up since Blade Runner 2049. She had this. Then she was in the Bond movie with Daniel Craig. She was just cast in another movie with Chris Evans. Big things are ahead of her.
Glad you enjoyed this so much! It makes me so sad that so many people only know Rian Johnson from his work on "The Last Jedi" - because that movie is honestly his ONLY piece of work that's less-than-awesome. Pretty much everything else he's written/directed (Looper, Brick, Knives Out, episodes of Breaking Bad) has been phenomenally great.
Rian Johnson did an excellent modern-ish film noir years back called Brick (2005), with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And he also did an awesome time-traveling sci-fi film with Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis called Looper (2012). Both darn cool projects.
Whatever else you can sling at Johnson it must be said he can be praised for giving JGL a chance to move beyond his earlier child and teen roles - he's a great actor.
Oh you should for sure react to Ready or Not - I can see it making for a hilarious reaction! Kind of a horror comedy, extremely well done and balanced! You'd love it!
I love this movie so much, I actually bought it on disc. The only other thing I've bought on disc recently was Haunting of Hill House. It's been a good 10 years since I've bought anything else for my shelf.
It's a "Whodunnit" (go with the detective to find out who did it) and a "Heist" (you know who did it and you're with them, hoping they'll get away with it) movie all rolled into one.
I *LOVE* "The Last Jedi"!🤩And I also love"Knives Out"!🤩27:45 - 27:58 YES.SAME.😎 23:59 - 24:05 Why do they write SPEAKING SPANISH instead of translating?Here's what they said. *Marta:* (I couldn't understand the very 1st part)"Mom,calm down,it's fine." *Mom:* "I don't like any of this,Marta.What's happening?" *Marta:* "I don't like it either." *MovieFusion:* 25:34 - 25:35 *Marta:* 25:37 - 25:38 *MovieFusion:* "Yep.That's what I said!😄"
Might I recommend (just for your own viewing) the Everything Great About Knives Out videos (It's a part 1 and 2). It points out so much in the way of Easter Eggs and other fun tidbits in the film. ruclips.net/video/ivAJIS0C-Ig/видео.html
This was the first Rian Johnson film I had ever seen and I have to agree, he does do good stuff!! Its one of my favorite movies, loved your reaction to it!
If I was martha I won't give shit cause the family simply doesn't deserve it.They've used Harlan his whole life and when things went south, they showed their true selves. There's a reason why Harlen gave everything to martha. He wasn't stupid.
Please please please do CLUE The Movie. It's such a funny whodunit. Funniest dialogue for murder mystery EVER. It really is a classic, but took years to get that kind of status because it was pretty a box office failure. But now... beloved by all generations.
I am two months late but let me say this: I'm personally somebody who liked the Last Jedi, and I would never dismiss somebody for feeling the opposite but it drives me crazy when people dismiss Rian as a director/writer just because of it. I really respect that you came in with an open mind, because I think this movie is an absolute gem that SW fans dismissed because of his entry in the series. For that alone, you're getting my sub
I'm pretty sure the sequel will only include Daniel Craig, maybe the other cops, but it will likely be a completely different murder in another town, in which case he shoukd be the only returning character.
If you want more Daniel Craig, I recommend these other films that are not Bond films: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) Road to Perdition (2002) Layer Cake (2004) The Jacket (2005) Defiance (2008) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) Logan Lucky (2017) and Kings (2017)
So happy u reacted to this movie!! I have a question for u tho bro, do u think ana de armas is beautiful? I’m pretty sure u might say yes but i wanna hear what u think :) love ur channel and i loved this reaction
You don't know what Scope is? I guess you don't shop for mouthwash very much. Otherwise you'd see it right there on the shelves lol it's in every single state like Coke and Pepsi
If you think you may like well written mysteries, you should watch the recent Murder on the Orient Express! The sequel, Death on the Nile, is in theaters right now, also very good!
We just don’t get enough of these types of films. U can see a lot of the last Jedi in this film in the way it subverts expectations with it being a mystery It works in Star Wars it did not. It’s just a super fun watch.

Sounds like Predator where Schwarzenneger had to slim down his musculature to use the gun props without looking very awkward.
Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans and the rest of the cast were so awesome. Even the humor in it was good too.
Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas also briefly worked together again in an awesome segment of No Time To Die, which was probably filmed well closer together than their release dates.

Actually Harlan is implied to use the same solution - there's a bowl of lemons on his desk!

More like any of the darker Agatha Christie novels crossed with those of her detective Hercules Poirot.

HoHH is so damn good.
Best serial spanning multiple time periods I've seen since the sci fi series Taken in 2002.
If you rewatch the scene where Blanc first meets Marta you can see him looking down (at her feet) for some time. :)

The lawyer who read the will is Frank Oz... AKA: the voice of Yoda.
Can't wait for the sequel. Hopefully it won't be too far into 2022.
This is an excellent "whodunnit" style movie. The best in the genre is "Clue" from 1985.
I think a sequel would just have Daniel Craig with another mystery to solve. Heck, it could turn into quite a series.
"Mister.....Blanc, Benoit Blanc."

My favorite movie from that year. Always great to see Chris Evans go against type. 34:20 haha, fanboy??? 🤣
As a movie buff, this film gave me so much joy as it is a direct reference to one of my all time favourite movies 'Sleuth'. Criminally underrated

Rian Johnson doesn’t miss.

This is such a good movie and I think you're going to love Glass Onion
Lmao dude how did you miss the non stop hype about this movie? It was like top 5 most talked about films of 2019.
This is my Thanksgiving day movie.
Yeah. that WAS the guy from IT.
I'm pretty sure the sequel will only include Daniel Craig, maybe the other cops, but it will likely be a completely different murder in another town, in which case he shoukd be the only returning character.
I think this movie is brilliant 🙂
P.S. the main actress is Ana de Armas. She was handpicked by Daniel Craig after this to be his costar in No Time to Die
You should definitely watch Clue - comedy murder mystery with Tim Curry.
To be fair, Ryan Johnson didn't really have much to work with in Star Wars. JJ Abrams is *shit*.
Daniel Craig is great - with a great accent in Logan Lucky, which is a heist movie with Adam Driver and Channing Tatum
I’ve missed you! 🥺 serotonin vibes for sure :)

Logan Lucky (2017)

Looking forward to the Krampus reaction

Directed by Rian Johnson in this movie about a murder and the family that comes to collect their inheritance
Scope is a brand of mouthwash
Awesome 😎 this movie is hilarious
The Last Jedi good too by Rian Johnson not sure if you’ve heard of it
Nope, never heard of it
Yeah. The Last Jedi is perfect
you look like a cross between zander and Rico from starship troopers
Why have you not seen Loopers? I'm sure you will like it.
You don't know what Scope is? I guess you don't shop for mouthwash very much. Otherwise you'd see it right there on the shelves lol it's in every single state like Coke and Pepsi

Rian Johnson should give up the idea of making Star Wars spin-offs and focus on making original movies instead
I mean, he kinda did. I think his planned trilogy was cancelled or at least shelved

Yeah. Star Wars fans can't handle his masterpieces.

A running commentary on the actors and the action is nit reaction. You talk too much.

Yeah the characters being shallow was the point.
