I mostly agree with what you are saying, one has to assume that the NI coders will eventually get up to speed with the hardware. I will stay that they've been promising a template editor but have yet to deliver this basic functionality. I've come really close to picking up a used MK2 but decided against it when I realized that various models can't co-exist (I have an S88MK3 and an M32).
This could be the end of he software/hardware including machine 2.0.. if anything new comes out and its superior to my old system. Then i would consider upgrading, but what i have is pretty good
