Garmin Instinct Solar First Run Review: Solar power comes to Garmin’s rugged outdoor watch

The Garmin Instinct Solar is the first watch outside the Fenix 6 series to get Garmin's solar power tech, with panels on the face of the watch extending its battery considerably. In fact, Garmin promises that the Instinct Solar can run indefinitely in Battery Saver mode, assuming you get enough sun.
Run Tester Nick has been testing out the Instinct Solar to see how the solar tech performs in cloudy London, and also put it through its paces to see if it can cut it as a running watch.
