Grew up in this area.
Moved away 20 years ago.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane !
Good morning Johnny! I really enjoyed the walk along Queen Street West from Osgoode station to Ossington Avenue. Queen Street West is one of my favourite streets in downtown Toronto. Have a great Sunday everyone!!
Nice video on a sunny Saturday. Always enjoy your videos from here.
Thank you for this great video, telling us about W. Queen St.. I enjoyed all your extra information.!
Nice video, wonderful walking tour in Toronto
Amazing walk. Thanks for sharing your video. Have a great day and stay safe everyone. ✌
Steve's Music for the win....makes me want to go back mid 90s
Yes, there was a Future Bakery at that corner - Tecumseth and Queen. And, of course one at Brunswick and Bloor West. That was 30 years ago. Not sure when they closed it down.
Hey Johnny! Another great walk. Keep up the good work
Appreciate for sharing another beautiful sharing .. TQSM
Thanks for another video Johnny!
That Urban Planet was originally built as a Club Monaco concept store for homewares called Caban, iirc.
Wow! I clearly haven't been there in a while, but it's weird to me to see Queen and Bathurst without the purple Big Bop Building and the Pizza Pizza across the street.
😊
That seems to be a more manageable day
Great video, I am going to CTV in March ..
Miss my old neighborhood . Lived at Queen and Niagara from 96 to 04 . Really sucked when found out Suspect Video burned down ! The ants at Cameron House need a new paint job !No pot shops or scooters back then ! Definately miss paying just under 500 a month for rent ! When moved found it hard to sleep because was use to sound of streetcars !!
That Shoppers was the original Caban flagship store...not Urban Planet.
I miss the old Silver Dollar 😔🎸
Future Bakery is still going strong ! Four locations in Ontario . Future Bakery Outlet at 106 Queen st. North Toronto .Future Bakery at St .Lawrence Market . Future Bakery at Cambridge Ontario Farmer's Market and also at the Farmer's Market in Kitchener Ontario.
It's gone. Not there anymore
good morning everyone
Good morning
GOOD MORNING 🌄🌄🌄🌄
I used to be in this neighborhood often. You say it was Toronto's Former Cultural Nexus. Where is the new one?
I remember when the Black bull had picnic tables and motorcycles. Bakka, Gail Wilson and Zephyr were nearby. People would dance at the Big Bamboo, and I went to Chicago's to see blues played. The Funnel had an experimental theatre near there as well. Lots of memories
There were two Future Bakeries. On was near there, the other on Bloor.
There isn't one. Toronto has become a boring, generic town.
@@MrMarktrumble I hear ya. My memories go back to the 80's when Queen West was just bubbling up. Peter Pan Restaurant. We had a server/cook named Susur Lee. Robert Plant would frequent The Black Bull when he was in Toronto. X-Rays. Long gone. Dan Ackroyd's place. Chicago's. 1988 summertime. Left early and 10 minutes later Jeff Healey and his entourage turned up. Worst one. Same summer. At the Horseshoe Tavern on a Friday after work. Some band named the Tragically Hip was playing in the back. $5 cover. I never heard of them so did not go in and sat at the bar. Rivoli with Moe Berg drinking Export Ale. Bovine Sex Club drinking with future members of The Bared Naked Ladies. CityTV and MuchMusic. Steve Anthony doing something illegal in a bathroom stall at X-Rays. Toot toot! All gone. Condos and Shoppers Drug Marts now.
@@peters5333 I went in the back of the Cameron house and saw Holly Cole. Punks and guys in suits and ties were watching her. I ate at Peter Pan only years later because it looked too posh for me.
There's a guy with a pink backpack..
Find some shade from the heat Johnny and some cold brewsky!!😊
Jonathan looked a little bit exhausted in this video.
Bro go Finch and Jane😅
Definitely "former".
There are so many beautiful women in Toronto , but are they friendly and attainable or will they cut your eyes out for looking ? Like wearing sweats that say Juicy on their behind and getting that ," What are you looking at " !
